Everything went well. There were some delays because of emergency calls from the "Flood of 2009", but for the most part, communications were good. I had a couple of unforeseen circumstances: bathroom vanity I purchased was taller than adjoining cabinet and we needed a new electrical box for the ceiling fan (old one was shot). Both were handled very well, and the cost didn't skyrocket because of them. Dan Doster and other workers were very professional. The quality of their work is very good.

We had them fix a bathroom faucet and vanity that had not been installed properly by the previous owners of our house. The project was a bit bigger than we originally thought, but he stayed until it was finished, and we haven't had any issues with it since.

I wanted to be able to write a better review, and some parts of the project deserve positive feedback, but unfortunately I can't recommend Handy Husband to other customers. They installed a new vanity and replaced bathroom tiles for us. The tiles and vanity look good. However, when the job was first "completed," the pipe under the sink was leaking, a section of drywall was not replaced (this was included in our original contract), the door to the bathroom was not replaced (it was left in another room of our home), the bathroom shades were not replaced (left on our bedroom floor), and tools and shards of broken tiles were left in our shower. To his credit, the worker returned to correct most of these issues. Unfortunately, the installed pipe continued to leak. By this point the worker seemed to be upset with us for needing to come back again, as though it was our fault that the pipes he installed continued to leak. On the third try it was fixed. Then we realized that there was no hot water. This was because they had left the hot water valve off. When turned on, water leaked from the back of the faucet down into the cabinet space. Again to his credit, the worker returned and diagnosed the problem as a defective faucet. He kindly offered to reinstall the faucet if we got a new one. By the time it arrived they had already been paid, and now they are refusing to follow through on their offer to reinstall it. I don't even mind this so much...it wasn't their fault the faucet was defective...but there was such a tone of hostility and unprofessionalism in their refusal that I just felt disappointed in the end. Anyways, you may find their work to be adequate if everything goes smoothly, but I can't recommend them to friends or family. If you choose them, I hope your experience is better.

I could not be more satisfied with this job. As a matter of fact, I am looking for him to do more work in our home.

This is the second project that Lar/Con has done for me; they remodeled our kitchen last year. This project went well, on time and on budjet. I provided the vanity and sink for the change out. It was very close to the same size as the old one but some base board tile had to be replaced and addional molding was installed. It's good when you have multi-talented contractors who can take care of surprizes.

Rodney and Ben were very cordial and friendly first of all. That set the tone. They had all of their supplies with them and got right to the job. First, they did the master bath. They worked very proficiently installing the bath facets and drains and cleaned up very nicely after themselves. The guest bathroom installation had one problem with the installation...an existing old hose on the fixture had to be replaced but they had a replacement with them. In my opinion they did a remarkable job at our house and we will definitely use them as our plumber in the future.

I believe it took to long to install the vanity. I paid for 2.5 more hours. The handyman asked me for WD40 which I thought was his responsibility to have. Also, he told me the connectors from the water lines to the faucet needed replacing even though I told him they had just been replaced with the new faucet. He did not listen and proceeded to go to Home Depot and purchase a new set. Which he did not use. He also did not know how to turn the water off under the sink and relied on me to go to the crawl space and get it done. Ultimately, the vanity was installed.

Over several months 6 employees came to my house on 10 different occasions. They were scheduled to come and didn?t come on many other occasions. They replaced pipes but it continued to leak. I was finally able to secure a $400 refund for what I paid. Another plumber from a different company came and fixed it within 5 minutes and didn't charge me.

Excellent job. Brandon does great work and is very reliable. He cleans up after the project and takes pride in the quality of work. Will definitely hire him for future projects.
