Superb job. Two men worked three days, and fabricated an entire raised deck from just a pile of raw materials. It was worth the price of the job just to get to see such fine craftsmen work. Cleanup job was immaculate. We are thrilled with the new deck. All work was done on time, and exactly as expected.

Everyone was very professional and they did very nice deck work. We added new decking and refinished all of it.

BEXOVATIONS of Atlanta
Project manager took more of a hands off approach. Team installing deck provided more guidance and knowledge than project manager. Had to change deck design midway through. Not strong in assisting with design ideas. Didn't go as Smoothly as hoped.

I CONTACTED SEVERAL COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES ON HAVING STAIRS ADDED TO MY DECK, WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR EXPANDING MY DECK. DECKS ATLANTA SENT SOMEONE OUT AND WE HAD A GOOD CONVERSATION ABOUT THE POSSIBILITIES, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE FROM THEM. IT WAS VERY STRANGE AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THEY MADE SEVERAL MISTAKES AND WERE AT A LOSS ON HOW TO REMEDY ERRORS. THEY COULD NOT BUILD DECK ACCORDING TO PLANS PROVIDED AND APPROVED UPON BEFORE CONSTRUCTION. WHEN THINGS WENT WRONG, THEY DID NOT RETURN CALLS PROMPTLY. THE DECK SCREWS MISSED JOISTS ON SEVERAL BOARDS. MITER JOINTS WERE FAIR. THEY AGREED TO MAKE REPAIRS ONE WAY AND DID SOMETHING ELSE.

AARCHADECK OF NORTH ATLANTA
On working days, a crew of 3 workmen was on site and working, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Workmen seemed to have very good knowledge about building decks of treated southern yellow pine. Construction materials were brought onsite before they were needed, so job moved along steadily.

AJ.R. Pearl Construction
Everything went incredibly well! The deck was done with composite tracks and not all deck builders do a real good job with composite because it is different from wood- but this guy did an outstanding job! I cannot say enough good things about J.R. Pearl Construction.

They are really good at what they do. They were very responsive to any questions and if we had any concerns we could call them. The crew was very hardworking and did an excellent job. They made a very high quality deck and were very accommodating. They made our new deck match an existing in style. We did have some minor problems and they handled them very quickly and took care of everything. It was a very good experience.

CJust Decks Atlanta
Mr. Kirk and his staff were honest and pleasant to interact with. At the end of the day, we had a well built deck for a reasonable price. So why a "C" instead of an "A"? The first reason was that the project took much longer than I anticipated. We entered into our agreement with Just Decks on March 25 of this year and the project wasn't completed until June 17. The most significant delay occurred immediately after we signed the contract in late March. The actual work on the project did not begin until late April, and we were never appraised of the reason for the delay. The second reason was that after the initial construction was finished, the deck failed inspection by the county and the steps had to be re-built to meet county code. An "A" contractor, in my opinion, would have completed the deck in conformance with the code the first time. The third reason was that the construction team wasn't really self sufficient. During the project they borrowed multiple tools from me, including a ladder, wheel barrow, and tarp. I was happy to lend a hand, especially if it avoided an additional construction delay, but an "A" contractor in my opinion, would have showed up with all of the tools that they needed to do the job. Based on the price, results, and interactions with Mr. Kirk and his staff, we would probably hire them again, but we would go into the project with our eyes wide open.

ANew Life Windows & Doors
Refreshingly thorough and detailed oriented. Todd, Keith, and Johnny went above and beyond to fix a botched patio door install. I had hired my deck builders to install the new kitchen to patio door. Todd & crew came out, removed the door from the make-shift frame that the deck builders had put in place and reinstalled the door properly. They then went on to design custom casings for the interior and exterior to complement both environments. It was an all day affair, and more than I had budgeted for, but quality work costs money and I respect a true craftsman and am willing to pay a proper wage for services rendered.
Recent Review: Excellent work. Project: remove old deck, build new. Initial inspection/bid phase: Geraldo reviewed the deck to check if it could be salvaged. Explained why it could not be salvaged, how construction of new deck would differ, etc. Work would start within the week. Bid was competitive. Removal/Installation phase: team showed up early, removed deck built new deck and completed in about 6 hours. Workers were friendly, hardworking, cleaned up after leaving. Post install: Geraldo reviewed the install with me, explained next steps, etc. Very happy with process, personnel, bid. Would highly recommend.

Recent Review: I contracted Adam at Affordable Home Concepts LLC to build a new deck and repair my roof where a large tree branch had fallen and damaged some shingles. He did an excellent job on both projects. I’m functioning on a budget, and I appreciated Adam’s friendliness as well as his willingness to work with me. Adam also provided valuable advice on these and future home improvement projects. Once Adam and I agreed on the layout, his team got right to work, and the results were great. The deck looks amazing! I've gotten lots of compliments on the deck, and friends who are more carpentry-savvy than I am have told me that it is well-constructed and built to last. Adam and his team completed everything in a week, which was both impressive and convenient! Once done, the team took away all scraps and remnants of their work. From start to finish, it was a great experience. I have no hesitation in recommending Adam with Affordable Home Concepts!
Recent Review: The entire project was a screaming success! Amy was wonderful to work with on all aspects of the design - everything from the initial consultation to the final touches. She was very consultative while giving us freedom to make decisions we felt strongly about and the finished product is something we will enjoy with our family for decades to come. Jesse and the demo/construction crews were fabulous as well - always punctual, always polite, kept the job site clean and were very accommodating of our crazy life with two work-from-home adults, two toddlers and all the chaos that creates with a kitchen remodel going on. They responded quickly to concerns, even after the job was technically complete, handled the inevitable hiccups with professionalism and concern to get the job done right. While I do think the price may have been a bit on the high side, the outcome was worth every penny.
