My oven was not working and one of the burners would not ignite. They made four trips to my home over several weeks. Parts were ordered, delays occurred, but finally I thought the job was done. I paid them over $400.00. Last night I waited 55 minutes for my oven to reach 200 degrees, then it quit. The burner still doesn’t work. It would have been so much better had they told me they weren’t up to the job on the first visit. Call these folks at your own risk.

Love the fact that he picked up the phone when I called. Was able to come right out. Great at figuring out what was wrong. We got bogged down when he had to order the part. Had to call him in a couple of weeks. He responded to us and then we felt we had to call back again to know what was going on. When he scheduled his visit to come out he did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he was going to do it. I like this guy and like his work. I would and will call him again.

Peterson's Appliance did a great job fixing my gas stove. They correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone (it could have been any one of a few things, but with their questions they identified the cause of the problem and the part needed). I would definitely recommend them (and use them again). Peterson's Appliance is a great example of why I use Angie's List.

We called Mr. Peterson and he answered the phone immediately and said he would call us back, which he did within 20 minutes. He was most courteous and made a reservation to meet us the next day. He asked us the make of our stove so he would have the most likely parts. He arrived on time and quickly went work and within 10 minutes he had the back of the stove off and had figured out it was the bottom heating element and fortunately had brought the right one in his truck. In 10 more minutes he had removed the old, put in the new one, and had made sure everything was working. He cleaned up and was ready to leave. He did answer the phone on several occasions during his visit, but he always spoke for only a moment, took a number, and likely called them after he left us (which is why he called us back in twenty minutes the day before). Mr. Peterson was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient with his time. We would definitely call Mr. Peterson again.

I called Appliance Zen for a problem with my inoperative, stove fan. I also had a problem with my microwave, that would often shutdown, unexpectedly, when it was running. The serviceman/owner, Sebastian visited and diagnosed the problems. The fan needed a simple off/on switch replaced. The microwave needed some inexpensive parts replaced. I told Sebastian that I didn't want to put money into the microwave if it could not be effectively repaired and that I would prefer to put the money into a new unit. Sebastian assured me he knew what was wrong and could repair the microwave. He returned with parts and repaired both items. I believe the charge was $280. The fan switch was a basic repair and worked perfectly. The microwave worked for about two days, then began exhibiting the same problems. I called an left a message that the repair failed. I left multiple messages. My calls were not returned. When Sebastian finally returned my call, he told me that parts were difficult to find for my microwave but that he would find what was needed and return for the repair. That was almost two years ago. Sebastian took my money for a repair that I was reluctant to have done. He took my money and did not make the repair. A refund was never offered. Mr Sebastian is a personable individual. but he has some problems that involve competence, honesty and integrity. At no time was I rude or offensive in my calls to his business. I would like to point out that his administrative assistant, Mary, who mans the office phone, is one of the most pleasant business people I have ever encountered. God bless her. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend that you find another business to perform your repairs.

Called business and told them what I needed. They said they would order the part and contact me when they had it. They called me at work and I met them at my home. He stated the price he had paid for the element and proceeded to install it. No complaints about any of this just the price. He spent less than 15 minutes on the job and charged $90 for the service call. My mistake was not asking for an estimate.

Recent Review: Very prompt, came to house took a few minutes to see what parts were needed. Calledd back a couple days later to schedule installation. Arrived on time both times, The work was done like he knew both real well.
Recent Review: They were okay. The oven got fixed, but our fridge started having problems within a month. They were pleasant, personable and quite elderly. I think they did the right thing with the stove just not the fridge.
