  • Very well. They came out and discussed our wishes, walked us through possibilities, and were good at the design and the implementation of our new kitchen. They'd flag the times we thought we wanted something but hadn't thought through the ramifications well. It's an absolutely stunning kitchen fitted smartly in a small footprint of our little home. We have used Beissel over the years for windows and siding, but have recently been using them as much for interior remodeling. They have now remodeled not only ur kitchen but both bathrooms. Strongly recommend!

  • Everything was nearly perfect. Contractor responded in a timely manner when contacted, was polite and professional, showed up on time, completed work on time and with a high quality of workmanship, went the extra mile when unforeseen problems showed up, thoroughly cleaned up when the work was done. Would hire this contractor again in an eyeblink!

  • It went extremely well. We contacted Steve, after we had other estimates. Steve is an extremely easy to work with. He gave us many great suggestions on what we could do after listening to our ideas. Some of the great suggestions by Steve were 1) center the range that we shifted to the right -see pictures, 2) add a trash can drawer instead of having a trash can outside, 3) add new carbinetry on the dining area facing the range and microwave- see picture. All this was beside some custom made cabinets that he built according to our specs. Remodeling a kitchen (as I learned it) takes a long time with many phases that include demolition, cabinet installation, countertop selection, cabinet stain type and color, countertop selection etc. We were guided by Steve step by step. He was so patient answering our questions, directing us to the next step and giving us head-ups on what is coming next. One last thing to mention, after the project was completed, we realized that there were a couple of minor issues. One of the cabinets next to the microwave and the microwave doors don't fully open (This was Microwave installation issue which was done after the cabinet installed). The second issue was about the trash can drawer where the base broke. I contacted Steve who assured me that his crew would come and fix anything that was done to our satisfaction. The same friendly crew came and took care of every thing. We are extremely happy and satisfied...Thanks, Steve!

  • My roofing project was more complicated than just tearing off and installing new shingles. I had seven pros take a look and two turned down my project right away and a third never called back. I got bids from four companies and while Scott's was actually the highest bid, I decided to go with The Construction Group because Scott seemed to really understand what I wanted and responded within 24 hours to all of my questions throughout the weeks of considering bids. I'm glad to report that Scott's attentiveness didn't wane after he won the job, but continued as he listened to my concerns, offered options, and worked hard to address any issues until the job was done. Our house was built in 1914 with wide eaves. Due to time, moisture damage, heavy snow loads, etc. many of the rafter tails were snapped, cracked, and sagging. The roofline was no longer a line, but a wave that was all over the place. Scott and his crew sistered the broken rafters, added new sheathing to replace the deck boards that were torn off to do the repairs, and then installed 11/32 plywood decking over the entire roof to create a solid nailing surface (there were gaps larger than 1/2" between my decking so code required this). We also had TCG install new 2x6 subfascia to help straighten out the roofline and a fascia appearance board was installed over that with custom-bent gutter apron and drip edge. Of course, they also installed all the underpayments, GAF Timberline shingles, and apron flashing and step tin flashing where needed to make roof-to-wall connections weather-tight. Honestly, the end result is better than I thought was possible. The roof structure is solid and the roof line is straight enough that it looks perfect from the street. All the sistered joists don't look very elegant, but once I cover them with a headboard soffit, the roof will look amazing. Achieving these results was not cheap. I had hoped to get this project done for $16K so the final bill was nearly 50% more than my budget, but I think the results are probably at least 50% better than what I would have received if I went with another company. Scott also offers a 10-year service guarantee against leaks or other issues with the new roof, which is far better than the typical 1-year guarantee for workmanship I saw in other bids. Also worth mentioning...we picked the worst week possible to have a roof installed (especially one that involved 4 days of work). We got 6" of rain the week they torn the roof off and some hail thrown in for good measure. The crew put tarps over the roof and hung around to see if there were any leaks. Good thing, because there were and those guys humped back up on the roof in a downpour and patched up the issue. The job took almost two weeks because of rain delays, but when it was dry, the guys worked long hours to get our job done. Scott was on site when needed and always available by phone. The foreman (Juan) was never on site, but the crew worked hard and cleaned up well when the job was done. During the job, the site was pretty messy, but that is mainly because it started raining before they had time to clean up on those days. I had several things that concerned me during the project and and I brought them all to Scott and he made sure that work was redone to my satisfaction or assured me that he stood behind the products used and the work being performed. Based on all my interactions with Scott, I trust that he will be there down the road if anything goes wrong and I would recommend TCG for your roofing project.

  • We got three quotes and choose Start to Finish Carpentry after talking with Justin. He bought the lumber, cut to lengths and delivered to us to paint and stain. (this saved us considerable money) He worked quickly and efficiently knowing that we were getting new carpet installed that same day. He installed and caulked the baseboard, door trim and patched and taped hole where we had removed an old non-working wall radio. It was very hot and humid so the drywall mud did not dry that day so he came back two nights later to finish the of sanding after he had been all day at another job site. He went out of his way to finish the job in the right way. We are very pleased with the job he did for us and would hire him again should the need arise.

  • Leaving a negative review for Jordan at Outlaw Carpentry is something I do regrettably, as I have used Outlaw with good results on two prior occasions. Recently, I spoke with Jordan about having someone repair/replace a door and woodwork that was destroyed by my dog during a thunderstorm. Outlaw had originally installed the doors for me. Jordan said he could do the repair for me and promised to get back to me in a couple of days. That was a couple of weeks ago. I left a second message but still have not heard back. When you use a contractor for jobs big and small, as I have with Outlaw, there should be some trust that a contractor will do what he himself agrees to. I would have been perfectly fine if Jordan told me that he didn't have the time or it wasn't a job that he wanted to do at this time. However, to make a promise and then not meet it is both poor service and unprofessional. I don't appreciate having wasted weeks of not finding another contractor and getting the work done because I put my trust in Outlaw.

  • Workers were punctual, professional, courteous, and stuck to job until done. Answered questions to my satisfaction when presented. Cleaned up when done. One screen had a small tear and was informed they would order a new one and replace it when it arrived. New screen was replaced about 2 weeks after job completion. Interior window jam and molding were beautifully stained. Took advantage of promotional discount offer to reduce cost. Great job.

  • It was a difficult job but TCSP lived up to the challenge. TCSP is a quality company that you can trust to care about their work, their customers, and to do things right. Integrity runs top down, bottom up, and sideways. Note: The reason I did not rate them on price is because I was so engaged from the start that I did not shop around for comparisons. The house foundation still needed painting in photo below.

  • Work was good quality, but did not stay on schedule. I suggest that your contract have a clear date for "substantial completion" and "liquidated damages". Only after I added these did the work proceed on a schedule. The plumber sub made several mistakes, including installing the plumbing so that the disposal could only be installed on the wrong sink.

  • They were great! Very professional and timely! Their work is very high quality. The process was smooth from start to finish! Would definitely recommend them and most certainly will hire them for projects in the future!
