  • I chose her because she is female. She also had a good reputation in the community. She is very understanding, clear with what she is saying and she is very helpful in making life decisions.

  • I heard about Cornerstone from a friend of mine who was attending a 12 step group for Sex Addicts. I had been using pornography, compulsively masturbating, having affairs and going to strip clubs compulsively for years spending money I didnt have, risking my marriage and feeling depressed, anxious and ashamed all the time. But I didnt tell anyone about it until finally my wife caught me by seeing porno websites and strip clubs on our VISA bill. She confronted me and I finally told her the truth. Needless to say she reacted quite intensely and it through me and her into a crisis. We both needed help in sorting all this out. I called Cornerstone and within a week we were there talking to Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. -White about our crisis. Provider name locked. evaluated me and recommended I attend the Stage 1 treatment group for compulsive sexual behavior. Provider name locked. offered to see my wife with the understanding that we would eventually do couples therapy once we both had gotten a few individual/group sessions under our belts. The stage 1 group, facilitated by Provider name locked. -Provider name locked. , was a life saver. The group was very supportive and caring yet wouldnt let me get away with my bullshit. I learned a lot of relapse prevention tools and how to reach out for support when I felt depressed, anxious or an urge to act out sexually. They also helped me reduce my shame and embarrassment and realize I was still an OK person even though I had done behaviors that were wrong and hurtful . My wife felt very supported and validated by Provider name locked. and was able to express her hurt and anger and realize what she needed from me to consider staying married. My individual sessions with Provider name locked. were helpful in my understanding what my real needs were that I was trying to meet with the sex and what family of origin issues were at the core of my addiction. The couples therapy helped us do what we needed to do to heal our marriage. Without Provider name locked. and Julies guidance I don't think we would have made it. They taught us a tool they called intentional dialogue that helped us talk about the most painful and stressful issues between us without it turning into an argument or power struggle. We still use it now whenever we get stuck in our communication. We still see Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. periodically and Im now in Provider name locked. trauma group where we work on healing and resolving painful and traumatic experiences from our childhood that are still effecting our thinking and behavior in the present. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone.
