    Glenn Lawn Care
Last year was awful. I believe he took on too many customers for snow removal as he was unreliable and difficult to communicate with. Didn't want to shovel the sidewalks because it was "too cold" or "he didn't feel well". Anger issues arose and he piled snow in front and back of several vehicles because he didn't like where I told them to park for his return visit. Snow removal is difficult when there are lots of vehicles to get moved; he used to work with me on that. Not anymore.

    Rainmakers Irrigation
We were initially happy to hire Rainmakers as many of our neighbors were also using them, they are a small family-owned business, and they had an A rating on Angie's List. However, the experience turned out to be extremely frustrating and time consuming from our end. There were a number of things that occurred including lack of communication about what work was being done and when, showing up at our house unannounced and without us being able to prepare properly for the work (like turning the water on), installing new sprinkler heads and charging us for them after I specifically told them to put the old ones back in, not being able to explain where two of our heads went and having to purchase two new ones, and trying to charge me twice for work that I had already paid for with cash. I explained to the owner how frustrating the experience was and was told that it was difficult for them due to the number of customers they were trying to serve at the same time. While I can appreciate that, it doesn't make it ok to allow the errors and issues occur with customers as they did. In the end the business owner tried to make it right and did not charge me for the heads that I did not ask for (though I still had to pay for two that simply went missing). While I appreciated his effort to make things right in the end, the time I spent on the issues and the frustration with this process will likely prompt us to look to other companies for service in the future.

    A & D Creative Landscaping & Irrigation LLC
My original review for them was mixed just because we wanted them back to finish a small job and just to get ahold of them was difficult. Well, they made that right!!! Showed up and added onto to a paving area that we had realized we wanted larger after they previously finished the first job. As usual, it looks beautiful at a very fair price. I am much more satisfied. So much so, that we are booking them for a much bigger job next spring, 2020. They really do beautiful work. They are very, very, very busy, and sometimes it can be hard to connect with them. I really appreciated that they worked on being more accessible and cared how I rated them and how we felt about the job. It got them another job with us, and I am really excited to also see the back patio with those beautiful pavers.

    Jerry's Home & Garden Center
Years ago I had a professional landscape design done (by an individual who just does landscape designs) and needed to find a company to "install it". After getting several bids I went with Jay's bid (head of landscaping at Jerry's). His price was competitive and he provided me with an itemized (down to the "individual plant level") list of costs. I liked that better than the other bids which gave me either a grand total or a very high-level breakdown in costs (labor + materials for example). Jay was opinionated and informed about how we carried out our plans. At bid time, when he sat down with us, he gave recommendations about things we should change with our design, justified them well, and convinced us that we'd prefer his suggestion. I really liked that, having a partner in the process - as he would cite his experience for knowing what's best for our situation. Jay also leads his company's one-and-only crew, so he noted that he'd be well aware of the entire project (since he'd be personally working on it) and could make things right if we felt unsatisfied. All in all, we felt confident that we had a capable partner in our project. To get a sense of scale, Jay said a few times that our project was one of the bigger projects he's done. Nothing too special in my opinion, just a lot of work. Tearout, re-edging, mulch, paver walkway, firepit patio, lots of new plants. I mention this because Jay said before the project began that it would take him 3.5 days to complete. He's a confident guy but that seemed like an aggressive timeline. But the weather cooperated and his crew worked hard, really hard, and they finished on time. Guess he does a good job of planning. We originally agreed upon the project 3 months before his anticipated start date, and the start date happened exactly as he predicted. So he must be really good at planning. Anyway, the project itself went very smooth and Jay was ready and willing to answer our questions and our small change requests as the project work was underway. The quality of the work seems very high to me (I'm no expert, but it looks great). The crew was professional through and through, a pleasure to work with. At the conclusion of the project, they fully cleaned up and gave us good instructions on how to maintain our new landscape. Downsides... nothing really sticks out. Jay's a busy guy so there's been times I had to wait for him to respond when I texted him questions or needed to talk, but that all makes sense given how he works on the crew.

Working with King Scapes went very well and we highly recommend them to others! Our salesman, Donald, was great to plan and work with. He knew all the right materials to recommend at our price point and with our home's style and age in consideration. The team worked long, hot and sometimes rainy days to get the job done on time, but never without compromising quality. They also worked very carefully in tight spaces without damaging anything we didn't plan on removing to begin with and cleaned up the work site at the end of every day. The final result is a beautiful series of retaining walls, steps and sidewalks that are the talk of the block. We are very pleased with the job and look forward to working again with King Scapes in the future.

    Arbor Barber, LLC
The team did an excellent job to cut and remove a tall tree (40 ft maybe?) at my backyard which was broken by a storm. Quote was offered, very competitive price, next morning the crew came and had all job done within an hour, cleaned all debris. Highly recommended.

Krammer's Lawn Care & Snow Removal
I hired to mow twice a week. They started in May, but the job wasn't done very well - grass was choppy and uneven in back and edge trimming sloppy. They came out once in June, but then missed the next appointment. I thought they would come in the last week of June when I was on vacation. Came back from vacation and the lawn still wasn't mowed. I called and they said it was because it had rained the Thursday it was scheduled for. He then told me it was bad to do it every other week because grass grows and gets long. Gee, thanks for that in depth analysis of how grass works. Then proceeds to tell me that if it rains on Thursday, it would be pushed to the next time, not the next week. So, if it rained every Thursday, I was out of luck - my grass would just not get cut! wth? I cancelled my service and went with a service I'd used in the past. More expensive, but much more reliable and better at their work.

    Craft Concrete and Landscaping
Cole replaced an old front walkway for us. He was easy to work with, the concrete looks great and he was reasonably priced. He was one of the few companies that did a small job for a reasonable price. For a relatively small stretch of walkway, we have gotten tons of compliments from friends and neighbors.

    Zoleto Landscape
Zoleto had recently done a great job on our back yard, so I had them come to dig the large hole for a dry well. This was a small job, so Luis had to work us into his schedule. He and his crew made sure they understood what I wanted to do, and they completed the job in just a couple of hours, working by hand to minimize damage to the surrounding lawn. Cleanup was superb. I will certainly call them whenever I need landscape work.
