  • 1. Ceiling fixture was done carelessly. One of the 3-bulb sockets did not work. When I opened it to see the connections one wire had come loose from the connection. He used electrical tape to secure loose wirenuts instead of securing the connection tightly by tightening the wirenuts correctly.
    2. He installed the bell in the middle of the wall about half way up. When I asked to have it moved higher & above the door he claimed I told him to put it where it was and then argued when I said I had not told him to put it there. He moved it higher, insisted I had told him where he put it then apologized for the misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding. No person in their right mind would put a doorbell ringer chest height in the middle of a kitchen wall.
    3. He did not leave the programming instructions for the under floor heating thermostat. I had to go on line to find and print the instructions for myself.
    4. He mislabeled the new panel and then said he had just reversed 2 circuits. This is sloppy work and showed he had not checked/tested any of the new circuits.
    5. He paid no attention to detail and worked hurriedly. I call him a Hit and Run because I'm left wondering what else was done so haphazardly?

  • Being more than 50 years old, the bay windows on the front of our colonial-style house began to rot on the bottom.  They needed to be replaced, and we wanted to replace them with new windows that would retain the architectural look of the existing windows.  After doing some research, we decided to purchase custom windows from Provider name locked. (not "renewal by Provider name locked. ").
Being highly recommended, we contacted Verlyn Vander Lugt, owner of Provider name locked. .  Prior to bidding on our project, he spent a considerable amount of time working with Provider name locked. Windows,  and he methodically measured and considered all aspects of the job at hand.  We agreed to his bid and contracted with him to do the project.
When the windows arrived at Provider name locked. , he arranged a date for delivery of the windows and for beginning  the project.  He and a helper removed the old windows and installed the new windows in one day ensuring that the rain we were to receive would not negatively impact the project or the end result.  The job required finding, installing, and painting trim that was as close as possible to the original trim.  He worked with paint suppliers to get the exact matching paints required.  Again, he was very thorough in every aspect of the project.  The job was completed during two subsequent days.
Verlyn was very careful, methodical, and professional.  He protected plants in the garden outside of the window and left the inside perfectly clean.  He re-installed the shades and repositioned the furniture that had to be moved prior to starting the project.  He also did some extra work that was not in his contract, but something that he discovered needed to be done to comply with state codes.  He did the extra work free of charge.
We highly recommend Provider name locked. .

  • Our kitchen was too small, we needed bigger space. Provider name locked. had a few ideas and had a designer give us a few different options for the space.  We wanted to stay within the footprint of the house, but we really liked the option that added a little extra space. We always felt we knew where we were in the process and although the pricing was higher than my husband wanted to pay it was very detailed. The crews who did the work kept us informed about the schedule – finishing about a week after we were told it would be done. The cabinetry was custom made. Provider name locked. did a beautiful job with the cabinets. We have 2 dogs and the guys really made sure to let us know when the noisy days might be.
