Hair Removal reviews in Saint Paul

  • Overall I guess I'm pleased with the results. I had fairly significant hair coverage on my back in the flanks area and on the small of my back around the waist and tailbone. I also had very few stray, but thick and black hairs on my shoulders. I think this is pretty common in most men, but I wanted to have it all removed. At the initial consultation I was shown a lot of before and after photos where other men and women had gone from pretty dense hair coverage to smooth, clear skin. They told me after the initial treatment, hair growth would be significantly slowed and I would be 'wowed' but that it would grow back. I would need 4-6 subsequent treatments to get to a point where I would have permanently bare skin. I would also be billed per session rather than having to pay it all up front. The cost quoted was $475 per treatment. The first treatment went as they had outlined. I was indeed wowed with the results. The hair did grow back. I was concerned because it seems to grow back thicker than normal and with more volume then usual. They told me this was normal since the laser had stimulated growth. They said that with subsequent treatments it would be killed off. The treatments themselves were mildly painful. Take a rubberband and put it on your wrist like a watch. Snap it as hard as possible. Thats what each zap from the laser will feel like. Each zap covers maybe a 2inch by 2inch square. They will do the whole area then come back over it a second time. I thought the pain was pretty even and manageable. I didn't quite end up with the results I wanted. My skin isn't permanently bare. The hair is now a very light blonde color rather than black. It's very short and soft. It is very sparse and there isn't much of it at all. From 6-10 feet away you can't even tell I have hair there. After 6 treatments the technician stated my hair was too light to continue with treatments. This was as good as it was going to get. I like the new look but I feel it was expensive for what I got. I thought it was borderline on too expensive even if I could have gotten the optimal results. Since I didn't get there, I do feel I paid a bit much. I'd probably do it again. The company and the the technicians were great. Very good bedside manners and very flexible scheduling!
