    Badger Inc
Mr. Evert Boerhave of Badger Inc. came with high recommendations and did not disappoint. He worked alone knowing precisely what should be done. A more skilled, focused, and also polite and friendly garage lifter would be hard to find. Using all the right equipment some of which was devised over time by himself, he worked happily for six hours or so asking for nothing from us but welcoming our occasional interruptions. The four of us observers appreciated his sense of humor! What we anticipated would be a chaotic, tense day turned out to be relaxing and fun.

Rescue Me Remodeling and Concrete LLC
I have hired Jesse for several jobs over past couple years, hes always on time, friendly and honest about the work needing to be done to get the result I want, as well as being knowledgeable about possible hidden costs that may come up over the course of a project. I had gotten cheaper bids on some of the earlier projects but I learned a few years ago you get what you pay for and any issues or concerns I had on a project with Jesse he was quick to address them to my satisfaction. He's the first call I make for projects.

    Patrick Miller Construction Inc
Patrick responded quickly to my request for a quote on the project. He was quick to set up a consultation and knew exactly what I was trying to achieve for my project. The quote was very reasonable and his enthusiasm for the job sold me right away. He was patient when the city of Saint Paul needed more documents to approve permit. The project manger and foreman Phil and Ben were great to work with. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. The end result met and exceeded my high expectations.

Update on the review I gave, dated 12/5/2017: This Spring/Summer, some of the siding was detaching from the garage - I had tried to pop it back into place, but it keeps peeling back up and looks lousy. I emailed Brad about this in July 14, 2018, and he came out to look at it on July 20. I got an email from him the next day saying this was "fairly common" and that "it's a quick, easy fix", and that he would have someone come over and fix it "in the next week or so". Now, about two months after that email it is still not fixed, and my emails to Brad have been ignored ever since then. The issues they seemed to have with punctuality and keeping to their word on schedules last year while building our garage seem have NOT improved.

My garage was tilting to one side, and the crack down the middle of the concrete floor had gotten wider in the last 25 years. Without realizing it, I was restricting weight loads and otherwise limiting my use of the garage because of the tilt and crack. Then a leak in the much-patched roof demanded attention, and I was forced to decide whether to fix up the old garage or tear it down and build a new one. Sentimentality and financials made fixing up the garage the better option for me. Mud-jackers assured me they could pump up the concrete floor, which would close the crack and lift that side of the sinking garage, but they could not otherwise help with any garage straightening. This solution would last a few years, then would likely need to be repeated. I wanted a more permanent solution, and Badger provided it. He offered to lift the garage up, firmly realign it, lay a grid work of rebar over the old floor, and pour a new cement slab up to the newly elevated and straightened garage. Badger is what some people would call "old school." Instead of a laptop, he brings paper printouts. Instead of emails, he telephones to schedule work times and to keep you informed of progress. Badger's business style is reminiscent of a time when a handshake and trust in another person could seal a deal. Badger and his helpers worked very hard for me. They gave me exactly what I asked for and what I needed. I am thankful to Badger for helping me keep my dear, old garage. I am now confident that it is firmly rooted in solid ground, and I am proud to see it standing straight and tall again.

    Vail Builders Inc
I highly recommend Vail Builders. Jim Vail took the time to get to know how I wanted to use my backyard and delivered a detailed proposal with a beautiful and creative design. As the project progressed, I was impressed by the solid construction and craftsmanship that went into every detail. The project turned out fantastic and is the envy of my friends and neighbors.

    Sussel Builders
Started building September of 1999. They poured the cement, on ground that needed to be packed down first!!!!!!!!!! They rode over the dirt with their little bobcat and called that good. They then called the city inspector, and he gave the ok over the phone!!!!!!!!! They finished the garage somewhere in February/March,2000. They put up the wrong siding. The draintile that I bought and put down was spray painted with the waterproofing paint for the side walls of the garage!!!!! The man they hired for this, they must have pulled off the side of the road!!!!! He spent at most 10 minutes with a cigarette hanging from is mouth all the while!!! He left leaving huge globs of paint running down the sides!! I spent 2 hours trying to smooth out the globs of paint, and cover the areas that he missed! I called sussel, and they said that they would have had to have seen the job!!!! But I had to spread and smooth out the paint before it dried permantly like that!!!!!! There are cracks all over!!!!!! Two large ones right off the bat in the spring of 2000. Cracks in the side walls on all sides!!!!! The frost heave moves the service door up a good inch or more. When it rains or winter thaws, it is a very wet floor inside. Mold over the side walls!!!! You really need to see this to really appreciate such shoddy workmanship!!!!!!!!!! I did try calling them about all these problems, I was always put on hold for ever. No one ever responded to my calls!!!!!!! I dont care how much time has passed, I am not through with them, or the city inspector!!!!! They owe me a new garage!!!! This clearly was not built correctly!!!!!!!!!!!! Should NOT have paid them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am really surprised that they are still in business!!!!

    Badger Inc
We originally found Badger through another contractor who highly recommended him. It was challenging to find someone that could lift our sinking garage, stabilize it and put everything back together. Everyone else told us, we would need to rebuild the entire structure. Bader was very fast to provide a quote for the job and we were pleasantly surprised at the cost. Once we agreed on everything and the weather warmed up, the job was very fast and smooth. He sent us before and after pictures as we live across the country so we would be comfortable. He even worked with our tenant who was living there at the time and was not being the most cooperative. Badger found, scheduled and paid for storage for our tenant only charging us the cost of the unit. We were extremely satisfied with his work and the way he treated us. The garage was turn-key when he left. It is nerve racking being a country away trying to work through a large project like this. After we hired Badger, we never worried about it again. His communication is wonderful and he is an extremely nice guy. We cannot recommend him enough. We would definitely hire again!

    Patrick Miller Construction Inc
We're just getting started with the project, but I have been impressed with the promptness, responsiveness, resourcefulness and transparency of Patrick and Billy. We stumbled a bit on the initial scope and price, but they pivoted quickly and had a revised bid to me within a day. Their friendly and approachable personalities are really winning me over. And I really appreciate how often Billy and the team are updating me on progress. Over-communicating is great and builds confidence! I will update my review as the project goes forward...

    Mathis Construction LLC
I didn't choose to hire Vern, but very much enjoyed meeting with him. He was very responsive to my inquiry, and provided a competitive bid in a timely manner. Vern seems to be a very capable and knowledgeable sole proprietor, and I felt like I would have needed to play more of the project manager role, at a time when I couldn't afford that sort of extra time and involvement.
