  • Very impressive! Provider name locked. and his team are consummate professionals. We had Provider name locked. and several other masonry contractors out in the spring to give bids on the above described work, and were surprised by how high all the quotes were, so we decided to hold off doing the work until later in the year. While Provider name locked. was not the lowest of the bids, it was competitive. But what really made Provider name locked. stand out over the several months between bidding and hiring was his clear knowledge about, and genuine passion for, the work that he does (he's been in the business since 1976 and his lead crew member has been with him for 20 years!). But even more impressive was Provider name locked. and team's vast experience working on grand homes throughout the historic Cathedral Hill neighborhood of Provider name locked. , and the fact that they actually enjoy working on these older homes—a quality that's increasingly difficult to find in contractors anymore. As a proud owner of an 1894 home in a historic area of Provider name locked. , it's no easy feat finding contractors who do excellent work; are true craftsman; are respectful, courteous, and a genuine pleasure to communicate with; and on top of it all actually share your passion for your home and historic architecture in general. Needless to say, I'm thrilled to have found that truly unique combination with Provider name locked. . Thank you, Provider name locked. and team!

  • In our new (to us) house since January last year and hadn't attempted a fire, yet, so I scheduled a chimney sweep. On the service date, technician (Provider name locked. ) phoned to inform me that he was running 1 1/2 hours behind, and that we'd have to reschedule. He was very apologetic and offered to clean our vents for free as recompense at the rescheduled appt. I rescheduled and Nick was now assigned to me (to work within a reasonable turnaround, as Provider name locked. was booked for the next couple weeks straight). Nick came out to do the sweep and let me know we'd had nesting material in there, and that our chimney and two exhaust pipes were not capped. He suggested we cap them, and we agreed (boy, mfrs get you on the price of those caps - $310 for three). When he returned with parts a few days later, he installed them, and he and his co-worker, Provider name locked. , cleaned and scrubbed our vents. Apparently, this had NEVER been done (house was built in 1951). You should've seen what they removed - wow - it should've been featured on The Discovery Channel.
Even with the scheduling snafu, everyone I dealt with was on top of things and very personable. I'll use them again when the time comes.

  • Provider name locked. and his associate arrive right on time. Began the cleaning and inspection of our fireplace immediately. Provider name locked. noticed there wasn't a cap on our furnace vent, and offered to install one. His associate cleaned the fireplace and flue, and was done in about 20 minutes time. Provider name locked. came off the roof and said that they don't make caps for our furnace exhaust anymore, though he could cut a new one and install it right then. I thought that the price he quoted me was reasonable, especially since he said he could do it right then. While he was doing that, his partner made sure I knew how to operate the fireplace, and gave pointers on the best way to do it, as we had just moved into the house and hadn't used the fireplace yet. They were both very clean, couldn't even tell they were here after they left. Will definitely use them again.
