    Garys Towing and Recovery LLC
We felt very misinformed. Gary said one thing to my husband and another to me. An employee of his told us not to worry about the storage fees, that if the insurance company didn't take care of the car, then Gary would take the car and forgive the fees. Gary denied knowing this was said to us or that this was his policy. The insurance company went out to see the car last week but we didn't hear final word on the subject until this morning. By this time, Gary has charged us over $735 in storage fees and wasn't interested in forgiving fees or keeping the car. I learned to get things in writing and clarify understanding and never ever wait for an insurance company. Boo to Gary's Towing & Recovery and Boo to State Farm. Terrible experience.

    LaMettry's Collision
LaMettry's did an excellent job. They felt that one of the rebuilt components that they had ordered to replace the broken one was flawed and would not function reliably. They took the initiative to go back to the insurance company who then agreed to cover the costs of a brand new part. They apologized that my repair job had taken longer than expected, but they wanted to make sure the job was done right.

    Lancer Service Auto Care
I've been using Lancer for about 3 years now, as I live in Downtown St. Paul.  I cannot say enough great things about them.

Their pricing for services is fair and competitive (my pricing for this review is just a number - I've had them do work both major and minor/routine), if you need a tow, they are very responsive, and their truck is small enough to maneuver inside various parking garages. They also explain everything to you, which I always like - there's no mystery repairs here.  I have not had a bad experience with them in 3 years, and I am so happy they are within walking distance to my home.

If you live in or near Downtown St. Paul or just have automotive trouble while visiting, you should not hesitate to give them a call.

    Gregg's Autobody
Work was done well and at less than the estimate. They gave me a ride to work while my car was being worked on and picked me up at work to retrieve my car. Warmed up my car for me while I was waiting which is appreciated in February in MN.

I was very impressed with the service I got from them. They went above and beyond. My mother-in-law has been a long time customer of theirs and they discounted the prices I think out of respect for her. They have been over backwards for us. My mother-in-law really appreciates it because she’s just a little old lady who needs help.

    Carver General Repair Inc
Recently while changing the oil in my daugther's car we had a "car jack mishap" that caused extensive damage to her Saturn Ion's radiator. Called Carver (having used them in the past when my son had a ruptured brake line in his Jeep Wranger which they repaired quickly and at a fair price) and after towing in the Saturn for them to look at it, recieved a quote to replace the radiator and repair the damaged area around the radiator.
Work was performed quickly and vehicle was available when they said it would be.  No additional or hidden costs or charges. We appreciate the quick, quality work and the fair treatment.

At first it still would start even with the jump pack applied. But Jim knew that it was because the car's computer had to reboot so we waited and it started a few minutes later. He stayed while I turned the car off and started it again to be sure it would start after he left. He was polite and carefully explained everything to me. Jim also reminded me to see if my auto insurance would reimburse me for his fee.

    All Seasons Towing
Cars never break down at convenient times or places, and this was no exception.  Thanksgiving weekend, Sunday evening, 35 miles from home on a rural highway.  My son's car lost all electrical power and stopped running.  Checking with Angie's List, I found All Seasons Towing and gave them a call.  Mark answered right away, and agreed to go pick up the car, and bring my son and the car to our regular shop for repair.  When he learned where we lived, he offered to drop my son off en route to the repair shop, which he did.  After that, he took the car to the shop and dropped the keys in the night slot.  He was on time, friendly, professional, reasonably priced, with good equipment.  I highly recommend him.

    Stillwater Towing
I have AAA and my car wouldn't start in my own driveway. I thought it was the starter or something b/c the battery is brand new. AAA got me to Stillwater Motors. The gentleman was out at my house within 30 min (this was even during rush hour) and asked if he could jump start the vehicle - even though I said I don't think that's the issue. Well, it was b/c he got it going. He was so nice and knowledgeable and saved me money as he didn't have to tow it to the dealership now. He was in/out of my place within 20 min. Great!

    Jim's Towing
Jim arrived promptly within hour of call. Knew what kind of rig to bring for towing from our phone conversation. Got system set up efficiently, towed with back wheels up and front wheels on dollies. Took best route to repair shop in Burnsville. Backed car into tight space at repair shop with no problems. Handled credit card payment easily on site. Knew to give me a paper receipt, not just electronic, which many insurance companies require. Price was fair given tow from St. Paul to Burnsville.
The towing went very well. Jim's Towing is now our go-to towing company in Twin Cities. Will recommend Jim's Towing to neighbors know if they ask about a towing company. Will definitely use Jim's Towing again.
