It took one visit to diagnose, and a return to install the special ordered part. I watched the tech work, and he was thorough and efficient. The repair on the 10 yr old dryer was as much as 1/3 it would have cost to replace the unit. Borderline cost-benefit.

    Crews Appliance Repair
Mike, the repairman was very professional and timely. He calls before appointments to coordinate with a working schedule. He had ample tools for the repair and was very familiar with apartment size washer units. He was able to fix the electrical unit easily which was preventing the water to drain and even checked belts, etc before finishing the job. I highly recommend working with Crews Appliance repair and Mike, the main repair man. And he guaranteed his work for 30 days! I will definitely call them again.

They're excellent. They're very good. They're very good when they have done more complicated procedures. They seem to be very honest, they give you a lot of good opinions, and they're very dependable. I was very satisfied. I think if you get work done, then you don't have to pay a service call or something like that, which is good. On their overall service, I'd give them an A; they're good. For punctuality, they give you a time frame like they all do, and if you're on the later end, that's just the way it is. Nobody likes to wait till the 5:00, which is the last one, but sometimes it happens. I think they're good at diagnosing problems and they're good at giving you opinions on what needs to be done, and honest about it. They're not trying to sell you anything more or do more work than they need to or anything. I think if my dryer was gone, if it wasn't good, they would let me know that too; if it wasn't worth repairing.

Repairman showed up on time said he thought it was a timer problem. Did not have the part but said this fix should temporarily fix the problem. Call him in four hours and let him know if the refrigerator was cooling. Called in four hours and said refrigerator was not cooling. Said thatmeans the compressor is shot cost to repair would be$600.00 plus. Do not believe he ever checked the compressor

Andy's Home and Business Repair Inc
The master john was always skidding and not easy to use. He found a crack in the base and went out and purchased a new toilet and how he hefted it to my home was a feat in itself. He fixed light fixtures, put in a new Sunbrella on my deck, power washed my deck and completely rearranged the outdoor rug. He fixed a leak in the basement bathroom wall, that had to be smoothed over with primer and paint. There are many more things he was able to smooth over, and too numerous to list. He had a journeyman helping him, and their exchanges were always pleasant, as the new man was eager to learn from Andy. Again, I will always be his client, and was so happy with the way he talked and explained to me

One thing I always appreciate is dealing with a company that, rather than requiring you to sit at home in a specified four hour block of time will instead agree to call you at your work when he is on his way. That is how both visits were arranged. One week after the initial appointment, he called me at my office to tell me he was on his way to my home. Once I arrived, it took less than 30 minutes to complete. The total charge on the second visit to actually replace the garbage disposal was $250. All in all I was happy with the convenience, the price and the service and I would use the company again.

Monday came and went. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday we attempted to contact him (Jason) numerous times with no success. We finally managed to contact Walt who advised that his partner, Jason, was not responding to calls and that he (Walt) had no idea if the part to fix our ice maker had been procured. He advised that he would order it (Jason informed us he would need to get it from their warehouse) and contact us when the part arrived. The following Monday (June 23rd), Jason contacted my husband to say that he was on vacation the previous week and that the part had to be ordered and he would contact us when it arrived to set up installation. Sometime shortly thereafter, when no one contacted us, we attempted to contact the company numerous times. My husband advised Jason that it was obvious they had no plan to come back out to our house to install the part, and therefore, because we had already paid for the part (valve) we wanted it so that we can hire a different company to install it. Jason stated that he would mail the part to us. To date, the part has not been received. We have attempted to contact this company numerous times to no avail. In summary, we paid $175 for services and a part that we never received.

We called one day and he came the next day.  He found part of a steamer we use and some broken glass which were apparently causing the problem.  He was very honest and did not try to sell us something we didn't need.  The whole job took about 30 minutes and he cleaned up when he was finished.  His charges are very competitive with other companies in this area.

    "Honey Do" Handyman Services
Ron Dunker is a true professional and more importantly a trustworthy guy.  He assesses what you need when you discuss the issues at hand and comes prepared to work unlike a lot of folks who then need to go grab a part or finish the job next time, etc.  Ron gets more done in an hour than most guys I know that perform handyman jobs.  He installed a farm/utility sink in our basement and made sure all connections were solid, all was level and caulked it neatly once all was complete.  This was no easy task because the floor near our washer/dryer has a slope of almost 2" down to a drain within a 6 foot span.  He also installed a custom made blind i had made for a small basement window paying attention to the finish so it would not be visible when not in use.  It's the small details that Ron pays attention to and his work shows it.  I also had a custom made drink shelf that he installed on the wall by our pool table.  It was a tough task because we have an older STL home and the walls were not true or deep enough with the drywall in this case, so it was difficult to get a good hold until Ron came up with a solid solution going into the shallow studs without damaging the shelf.  The new shelf looks amazing and compliments another one he installed a previous trip over.  I have a few other items to complete and Ron will be helping me with these as well - installation & frame-up of a pocket door, installing/caulking, painting baseboards around our basement area (100 ft.), and putting up some various shelves/bins for our laundry room.  I've had Ron install a laminate floor on a previous occasion which turned out great.  One of the best qualities about Ron is that he will figure it out and make it right, just about whatever task you have to complete -- and discusses the issues on the front end versus after the fact.  He values your time and $$ like his own and I will be using him again.

Crestwood appliance cost me an unnecessary service visit and $225 bill because they rudely and incorrectly told me I was wrong in my oven Diagnosis. I thought I needed an oven igniter, brought the part in and stated I needed a new one. The clerk told me it had continuity, refused to sell me the part, dismissed me and helped the next person. I left, reconsidered the incomplete answer, went back, asked again if I could buy the part. He said no; the old one worked. I apologized, asked if he could think of something else that caused the problem, and was told I was wrong and dismissed again. I called a repairman who came and told me of course it was the oven igniter (he immediately came to this conclusion after a one sentence description of the problem), told me continuity of the part meant nothing in this context, put a new one in (fewer than 5 minutes) and reassembled what I had already dismantled to get to the igniter, and charged me $70 for the part and $155 for labor and visit.
