    All American Appliance Service Inc
I have used them wice in the last four years to fix my washing machine. Both times it was an urgent situation in which they came out promptly to fix. The same person came out both times over a year apart and was great (I wish I could adopt him). Both times it was a switch that we apparently were breaking by dropping the lid down too hard, mixing light and heavy fabrics and letting the machine run unbalanced (yes, I have now learned my lesson and no problems since). They have evening hours which is a huge bonus.

    Crews Appliance Repair
Outstanding repair service in all aspects. Our KitchenAid dishwasher is only about 3 years old, and we were very concerned about being able to get it fixed for reasonable price and in a reasonable timeframe.... Then we found Crews Appliance Repair! I contacted them on a Thursday, and Mike was able to make it here on the following Monday. He was quickly able to troubleshoot our problem, which turned out to be a bad pump assembly. He able was to procure the replacement pump assembly in a couple days, and got our dishwasher fixed up as good a new. The repair price was completely acceptable and Mike is a true professional. Next time we need an appliance repaired, we will be calling on Crews Appliance Repair to do the job!

DO NOT PATRONIZE!! All of the workers are sub contractors. This is a phone service that provides work for appliance "repair" people. He pulled a hose off of our machine and water went everywhere, causing damage to our basement ceiling. We had to turn off the main!! Took hours to clean up. They did refund our money, but we now need to hire a plumber, get a NEW washer and repair our ceiling. The fact is the valve behind the machine was bad, but a true repair person would have realized that not only was the washer leaking, but also the valve was bad before pulling off the hose. At that point, tell the customer to call plumber and let me know when you have this completed come back and finish the washing machine repair. Affton Appliance took absolutely no responsibility in this, kept saying that the repair people are sub contractors, which I did not know until it was too late. Never could talk to a supervisor or owner, just the CALL CENTER. That is all they are is a CALL CENTER. They do not have certificates of insurance. So we are moving on, but this could have been way worse. Also, side note, they rescheduled once, tried to reschedule twice, because he came a second time to fix what he thought he fixed the first time! He left the first time, all good, took my money and 20 minutes later leaking again. At least getting our money back will help with the plumber and new washer.

The service technician was friendly and professional. He discovered the problem and repaired it quickly. The price was reasonable and the problem has not returned. I would definitely recommend this company.

I called to set up an appointment, and as it was explained to me, I was under the impression that $50 was the cost to get a technician to come over and diagnose the issue. After the technician, who was unfamiliar with my dryer had to call other technicians to get their expertise, and an hour later - i was charged over $100 for them to tell me the electronics was "most likely" the issue and would cost more money to fix than would make sense, and better to replace. So they charged me for "labor" on top of the fee to get them to my house? $50 just to get to my house? I don't care what your overhead is, that is upsurd! If it was clearly explained to me that it would be $50 + a variable amount for the time, I would have told them I was not interested and would have just replaced the dryer. Also, they showed up hours before the agreed upon window - which made me reschedule work and hustle home. This is not how you do business - explain the costs CLEARLY up front and let the customer decide if its worth it.

The workman did the necessary diagnostics on the washer and concluded that he couldn't fix it for a price that would be less than the cost of a new machine. I really appreciated his giving me an honest assessment. He also gave me advice about the sort of new machine to purchase. I plan to contact this company about other work that we need to have done at our house.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Not good! Paid a plumber for 1st call and he advised I needed an appliance repair. Called Sears and they came out and said I needed a plumber and charged for the Service call. Called another Master Plumber who did everything Sears asked to be done--replacement of the water valve and connection to fridge while saying that he thought it was an appliance issue. After the repair, the icemaker and water still did not work. Called Sears and they wanted to charge me a discounted rate to come out again( the rates had gone up in the meantime and the discount was no discount since it was the same call charge as before and did not include the part needed. I mentally came unglued and filed an Attorney General Complaint with Missouri. At the end of the day, they came out and did not charge a new call charge but did charge me for the part( approximately $250) and reimbursed the 2nd plumber bill for $132. I wish that was the end but the Sears check bounced. I re-contacted Sears with copies of the bounced check and letter from the bank and was told they would need to investigate. In the interim I filed a 2nd Attorney General Complaint. I am now in possession of a $144 check($132 reimbursement and $12 bounce charge) and hope it will be good. I have also received paperwork that Sears is going thru bankruptcy and considers me one of the debtors($132) so I am nervous that the check will not be good. At the end of the day I received bad appliance service, bad customer service, and a bad check.

    Sears Appliance Repair
The compressor on my 2 years old Kenmore fridge stopped working. So far it has been 9 days and it is not fixed and won't be fixed for another 8 days. Sears home services has changed the time and date of the scheduled repair 4 times without telling me, then blamed me for not being home at the designated time. When I called to try and figure out why they keep changing the appointment and to see if I could get an earlier appointment I had the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Once my fridge is fixed I will never have anything to do with Sears services again.

    Mehlville Appliance Repair
I had these folks out 3 times to repair various items, all which went fine, until the 4th time I called. Techs were always fine, but the woman who answers the phone was a looney. Stated she recalled that I was a no show for an AC call, which I had cancelled because their only AC person was on vacation, and the scheduled date was over a week out. She actually criticized me for being a bad person that would con her tech out of money and stated they would not return to my house. After all that business, she punished me rather rudely because she neglected to do her job and cancel the appt. Horrible experience.

Cole from Hoffman Brothers came out, ran a few tests on the refrigerator, and determined quickly that the control board had gone bad. The refrigerator was freezing up as the defroster was not working. He ordered a new control board, and when it cam in several days later, he came back and installed it. Cole did a great job on this repair, and I hope the next time I need help, they send someone like him again, he was a pleasure to work with.
