    Jenkins Restorations
This company is a train wreck! Dont subject yourself to the endless frustrations. Jenkins rebuilt our carport on an insurance job last year after a fire. Initially, we had good interactions with them and thought they were all really nice guys. But it wasn't long before the big problems started. The biggest was the architectural drawings of the carport, which we had asked to see before they were submitted to the city for approval. That didnt happen they were submitted and approved before we even saw them. When we insisted on seeing them before the framing started, we found that they were wrong! The architects (who sit on the east coast somewhere) had badly missed the mark, despite having photos of the old structure to duplicate. They had designed something weird looking and no one had noticed. We made changes to the plans in a meeting with the GC, Stan, assuming he would have the plans correctly redrawn, but he didnt. The framers showed up with revised, but still incorrect measurements! We had to stop work to revise the plans again and still ended up with a weird looking structure that we would have modified had we been able to envision it at the beginning. Smaller problems like this occurred repeatedly over the 9-month rebuild (for a carport that was, by their own estimate, supposed to take 3 months!). Jenkins (mostly Stans) communications with us and their subcontractors were terrible. Despite repeatedly asking Stan to let us know when work was scheduled and people would be coming to the house, he rarely did. We were promised weekly updates before we signed a contract, but over the 9 months, we received about five without having to repeatedly ask. Worse was that subcontractors were given incorrect or incomplete instructions, then Stan wouldnt check in until after big mistakes were made. For example, siders put on the wrong siding, painters didnt complete the job, electricians mis-wired the whole structure, Stans own guys messed up some framing! Tons of miscommunications! We finished several details ourselves because we got tired of asking them to send someone back to get it right. There were also large time gaps between components, which we assume was due to poor planning on Stans part (and its hard to get subs in Seattle), including a many month delay getting the final concrete resurfacing done because Stan didnt have the connections and didnt seem to put in serious effort to complete it until we were being very vocal to our insurance company about the delays. The project dragged on seemingly forever. On top of this, Jenkins had vastly underestimated the cost of the rebuild. That didnt affect us once we had paid our deductible, but I wouldnt trust them to do quality work on their initial bid, even if they did do quality work.

    Fine Lines NW Inc
very well. We had two major family issues that required great understanding on the owner and crew's part. They never failed to be courteous and supportive and to work around our concerns. I will always appreciate this kindness. Plus, they listened to me. Our walls had unexpected issues. Now, they look beautiful and I am filled with joy by the efforts of Joe, Sharon and Marcos.

These people, especially Ben, were so professional, so kind and made me feel like they were in their own home. Concerned that I understand everything they were doing. They took away my stress because they handled it so well. This has been such a wonderful experience. I would recommend this company highly.

    European Hardwood Flooring
Daniel is an honest and hard-working flooring contractor, who clearly understands hard wood floors and wants his customers to be satisfied. He has a truly amazing and exceptionally hard-working crew. I've been screening and hiring contractors for various projects in 3 different homes now for over 12 years now, and "honest" is a word I can use only for one other contractor. I am also pretty critical and have very high standards and don't usually praise contractors. But Daniel and his team are truly extraordinary and his is truly a case of a completely well-deserved Angie's List Super-service Award. Daniel was quick not only with the bid, but also with getting his crew on site to start the project. There was no low-balling to land the job, and the price was extremely competitive and fair. There were no surprises in the price, even after the carpet was removed and there was an unforeseeable amount of gashes to the floor done by the carpet installers. The final price was completely consistent with the estimate for removing the damaged wood boards in areas not covered by carpet. Another reviewer was disappointed that Daniel was not on site when the project started, but if you have an issue or question, you should just contact him. He is very responsive and will come on site, if you need him there. His crew, Jose and his son. removed individual boards that were too damaged to be sanded down and replaced each one. The end result is a seamlessly integrated and beautiful floor! They were also able to correct a shoddy patchwork board-swapping job done by previous contractor. You can't tell that there was ever a problem there. Finally, we were told by some contractors that they couldn't save our baseboards (which was important to us because it matched all the other door trim in the house) and Daniel saw that without being told and his crew was able to remove baseboard without damaging anything! Our floors after lifting the carpets were in shocking shape, nails in the boards everywhere, gashes across the middle of the floor from the carpet installers, pet stains, water damage-- but after 8 days of really hard work (and they came in to work on Saturday, too, as well as stay until 8), our floors look spectacular! We are extremely pleased and would hire again! I am truly impressed by the dedication and hard work of the entire team!

    24/7 Flood & Fire
D'Ayres arrived on time for the appointment. He explained what signs he was looking for and what he planned to do with the ceiling, and did a very thorough job removing all of the moldy drywall and insulation. He even went out of his way to test places apart from the ceiling to look for hidden, potentially water damaged areas. If I ever need help dealing with water damage in the future, I would definitely hire 24/7 again.

    24/7 Flood & Fire
We had a challenging time figuring out where water was coming from in our basement. 24/7 helped us find the plumbing problem which solved 95% of the water coming into our basement. They we're patient as we had to trench the outside of the house. Once we we're finally able to rebuild 24/7 came out for an updated bid. Work was done quickly and efficiently.

    Washington Restorer LLC
we needed help when kitchen leak happened (with damaged hardwood floors, cabinets, walls, and more). our plumber referred Alex and Washington Restorers. WR turned out to be fantastic an helped us to meet all the steps in a kind and professional way. first: very fast and professional in mitigating water leak and stopping mold or further damage. second: helpful with the insurance and estimates and keeping everything documented and on track. third: thorough in removing all damaged areas. fourth: much attention to detail in the reinstallation of new materials by skilled craftsmen (floor, cabinetry, tile, counters, painting, woodwork, etc.) using quality materials: WOW!!! some delays along the way, but ours was a pretty big project, so we were actually glad that WR does each part of the work right instead of sacrificing quality. very pleased to have end of the damage, and gorgeous new floors, counters, tile-work, and more all installed to make our place all better. we were completely impressed because Alex and his team are reliable, trustworthy, polite, and especially the quality of workmanship. Alex promised the Wow factor and he and the WR team deliveredthanks very much, guys!

    Signature Restoration LLC
Andrew is a real professional and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We initially hired him as a water mitigation company to dry out our flooded kitchen. Andrew did a great job and came to our house every day to ensure the entire house was completely dry. Due to severe damage caused by the flooding, we now needed a full kitchen remodel. And, luckily, decided to go with Signature Restoration LLC. Andrew and his team handled everything and our new kitchen came out great! Andrew, worked with our insurance company and ensured that we get a fair compensation for repair work. His 20+ years of working with insurance companies definitely helped! Andrew handled all contractor work, provided recommendations for kitchen cabinet companies, granite, tile, flooring and electrical work and was always available and willing to help when we had questions. Andrew's team's time estimates were spot on. The repairs and remodel was completed in the time frame that was initially communicated to us. We found Andrew and Signature Restoration to be extremely knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy and fairly priced. I would highly recommend their services!!

    The Flood Guys
Our kitchen ceiling started leaking on a very rainy Sunday night, and I found The Flood Guys' number on Angie's List. Joey answered immediately and was at our W. Seattle house within the hour. We couldn't believe how fast he responded. He took a sample of the ceiling, set up a HEPA filter and dehumidifier, and helped facilitate next steps to fix the damage to our kitchen. Sean, Jaden and Bernard were at our house a couple of days later to open up part of the ceiling and a wall to expedite the drying process. We appreciated that whatever mess was made from the demo was cleaned up very well. They contained the area with plastic and blasted it with high-powered fans. Within a few days, they were back to retrieve their equipment and tape up the exposed areas just in time for me to make Thanksgiving dinner for my family. We were so pleased with their work, expertise, professionalism and sense of urgency. If you are in need of mitigating water damage fast and competently, this is the company to call. Thanks, Flood Guys, for the awesome work!
