Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • We have experience in building or remodeling a total of 10 times. Because of our past building experience (as owners, not builders) we tend to be the picky, hovering types with lots of questions & suggestions. Additionally we lived on site in a tiny area during 80% of the work. This was the most complicated & expensive project per square foot and yet one of the smoothest. One of the remarkable things about CCH is how good their employees are -- both at their craft and in dealing with the client. Rob, the principal, was involved with initial discussion / negotiations, but once the nails started to fly, he turned it all over to his capable staff. Offsite supervisor and onsite crew were consistent, considerate, capable, approachable, reachable... They took everything we threw their way seriously - and with a sense of humor when appropriate - and never missed a beat! Pretty much the same for most of their subs as well. A total of 8 months was needed to complete the project. They started on schedule and finished a mere 1 week behind schedule despite a few unforeseen things. That too is remarkable considering this was done during the summer of 2017 when contractors were deluged with work. It has been a 11 months since completion and the only call back we have needed was for some paint touch up and skylight leak, all which was covered under warranty. CCH was not the least expensive, but we feel like we got our money's worth. Thanks Rob & crew for a great job!

  • My idea of a great company is one that provides excellent service, on time, within budget ---working in partnership with the customer at all times. Carlisle is just this type of company.... high standards, great communication, doing it right and making it right, standing behind their work, and developing a partnership and relationship that stands the test of time. We genuinely like the folks who work at Carlisle, respect the culture of the company (great community citizenship), admire their professionalism, and actually enjoy having them around despite the disruption of any home project. How did it go? Great - over and over again... Thank you, Carlisle!

  • Still not done. Communication with the office and person won does the estimate and ordering is terrible. He has twice ordered the wrong replacement skylight after much detailed discussion. Waiting for the third try with the roof tarped. The people who have come out to perform the work have very nice and professional. The guy who coordinates all this in the office is awful

  • Very well. They quoted a reasonable price, showed up on time, laid out drop cloths and kept things very clean. The repaired wall matches the original wall perfectly. The company is very professional, straight-forward, and easy to communicate with.

  • After the work was completed, quite a few gutters and the roof that's visible from my back yard still had debris on them. It also appeared that less easily visible gutters and roof areas had similar issues. Additionally, the clean-up resulted in a lot of the debris being blown into basement window wells as opposed to being collected and removed. One of the tools used to clean the skylights was left behind (the skylights were cleaned well). Finally, we had agreed that this work would cost $250, but the invoice that was left was made out for $275. I called the company the next day and they apologized and sent someone out to re-do the work items that weren't completed properly, which yielded a better result than the first visit (hence, my overall rating was "Fair"). Overall, the experience was disappointing esp. in the light of the company's favorable ratings.

  • Starting with Karlee in the office, to Eric the owner ... and everyone in between, the Gafco team was professional, quick and reliable. My husband and I are both busy professionals and the team worked to ensure that appointments were set to meet our schedules, leaving us with a sense that we were their priority. Their work is superb and we went from having the worst roof on the street to now having the nicest roof in our neighborhood!

  • Some of the finest workmanship I've seen. Beyond perfect, if that's possible. The three impressive things that stood out working with them were: 1.) When the weather forecast changed to heavy rain a day earlier than expected, they had the entire crew with flood lights working frantically until 10pm, getting everything ready for the deluge, finishing just as light rain turned into torrent. Not a problem, and when it stopped, they were back finishing the job perfectly. 2.) They came back 8 months after the job was completed and paid for; the manufacture had increased the flashing depth recommendation. I would have never known, but they where here for a day retrofitting the flashing to current manufacture specs. Many companies would have applied those changes only to new roofs. The guys from Pinnacle Roofing upgrading my roof when I wouldn't have known had they not, increased my extremely high trust in them to nearly complete. 3.) Lifetime warranty. I have and will use them again whenever I need roofing.

  • The bidding process was straight forward. The office manager/scheduler was courteous, prompt and attentive to the requirements of my specific job. The crew was polite, worked well together and worked hard to finished the job quickly. I will recommend them to family and friends.

  • Great. I contacted them on a Thursday and they came out and did the repair the next week. The repair was done on Monday. They came back after the filler dried and finished and painted. The repair looks good and matches the existing texture and color. I was pleased with the sheets they laid down from the front door up the stairs and down the hall to the bathroom where the work was done and the plastic that was put up in the bathroom to keep other surfaces clean.

  • They promised a ~3 week turnaround, but after 2 months of waiting I still had a leaky roof with no work done. Scheduling was a nightmare, and several times crews would show up to my house only to disappear I suppose because they went off to do another job. It's now 3 months after signing the contact, and the work is finally done. Reve subcontracted my job to another company, and for the most part they were fine. The sales team also promised I could request an inspection after the job was done, and when I went to do that the company told me "no sorry we don't do that we're all good." Okay... so in the end I felt pressured and even misled by the high-pressure sales tactics. Reve puts on an air of being so dreamy and high quality, but what they're really doing is sending sales teams around, pressuring people into signing contracts, and then turning around and hiring someone else to do the job. One of my skylights was not done by the end of the roof job because a honest mistake happened ordering the part. They promised it fixed a week after the roof was done, but it was 3 weeks after when they finally got it done. In fact, no one called me to give me a heads up the work would occur, so I awoke pretty afraid when loud banging began, ripping plywood off the roof and replacing the skylight. I'm glad it's done, but I don't like the way it was handled. It seems like the roof is good to me, but time will tell. Given the sales tactics and the way I was treated as a customer, I won't be doing business with Reve again.
