Piano Moving reviews in Seattle

Provider name locked. was hired by a neighbor of mine to move a piano from her house into mine. Before the move she described where the piano was to go in my house (the basement) and the difficulty in getting around the side of the house into the basement. She was told that this would not be a problem. She asked them to come and look at my house and the access to make sure, but was told that was not necessary. Provider name locked. showed up at my house with the piano and the movers told me that they could not get the piano into my basement since access on one side was too steep and on the other side too narrow. We talked about going through my neighbors yard, but the movers seemed rushed and did not want to consider that option. Instead they moved the piano upstairs. I did not want it upstairs since I have very little room and I had already moved furniture in the basement to make room for the piano downstairs. My friend could not take the piano back as she was getting ready for a move.
If we had known in advance that Provider name locked. could not move it into the basement, then we could have made other plans for the piano or hired someone else. Instead we were reassured that it would not be a problem. It was a problem and Provider name locked. could not help us come up with a solution. Instead they gave us two choices: move the piano into my upstairs or move it back to my neighbors house (and it would cost more to move it back). So now the piano is upstairs and I have to find (and pay) another piano mover to move it downstairs. The Provider name locked. movers seemed rushed and were not at all apologetic about the fact that they did not do what they were hired to. I would not recommend them.

Because of a conflict with a neighborhood event, we had to change our piano move date -- we called about 8 days before the original date and had no problem delaying the move by a week. Although it was a very rainy day, Provider name locked. arrived on time and set up a series of ramps to move the piano down 8 steps of our porch, another step to a steep driveway, and then down the driveway to their truck. Although it had stopped raining, they provided protection for the piano. The whole move out of our house took less than ten minutes -- it was very obvious that the movers knew what they were doing. The work at the other end of the move went smoothly as well. We were very pleased with the move. We were initially given a price estimate of $200-$240, and with our Angie's List 5% off coupon, the final price of $190 was exactly at the low end of their estimate.

Provider name locked. Moving picked up our two pianos from different locations in Kitsap County
and delivered both to our new home in West Seattle. They were excellent from the
scheduling to the actual movers. The scheduling folks worked around our
timing and made everything work seamlessly. They actual movers were
extremely polite and very careful with our pianos; moving them through
very tight spaces without any damage to the pianos or our house. They
were the best.
