  • He is outstanding. Mike started out on a 73 year old piano, that had not been tuned since 1962, that had broken strings. In less than two hours, it was fixed, tuned, and it sounds superb!! There is a reason that Mike has been so successful, and that  reason is, he is the best that there is. I will use him again!! A friend, who has played my piano before Mike, can hardly believe how good it sounds, and has decided to have him tune her piano.

  • My piano had not been tuned since 1986.  It was moved from Pennsylvania to Seattle in 2007.  My daughter started playing on it in 2012.  Finally, I got around to having it tuned in 2014.  I was worried that the tuning would cost much more, because there would be all kinds of things wrong with it.  But Josh was very helpful, understanding, and efficient.  He tuned the whole thing for the regular rate, and just recommended a follow-up tuning several months later (which other piano tuners had also recommended).  He let us watch, and explained the insides of the piano to the kids.  Super nice guy.

  • Josh was very friendly and professional. He seemed knowledgeable and eager to do the job well. Because our piano had been out of tune for so long, he recommended more frequent tuning for the next year or two before we ease into an annual schedule. The piano sounds much better, and I trusted his opinion and work enough to schedule another appointment.

  • The provider called right before the appointment and said he would be late. And then, It was only minutes, so I thought it was very thoughtful . As he tuned my piano, I could hear that it was to pitch and therefore I was thoroughly satisfied with the result. Very good experience.

  • I had an old piano that I had been given by a friend.  It was left outside for a short time and was way out of tune and quite a few keys were not working.  Mike and Mateo put it back in working order and and put a big smile on my face.  They were professional, punctual, knowledgeable (they were able to date my piano), and just super friendly.  I will definitely be calling them every year to keep my piano in tune and ready to play.

  • I appreciated the tuning done for my piano by Artisan. The tuner got it sounding much better, and took the time to explain other issues with the piano and what additional work would be needed to fix problems (like the felt on some of the hammers being worn and grooved). I would use them again.

  • Artisan Piano Services did an excellent job tuning our piano. They were prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. The technician did a great job and he even had to put up with our cat, who wanted to "help." We would highly recommend them for any required piano service.

  • Technician (Josh Mayfield) was professional, personable and punctual. Easy and quick to schedule an appointment (critical when you are eager to play an instrument that is terribly out of tune)--he was working on the piano 2 days after my call! It had not been turned or played in many years so Josh had his work cut out for him--the sound it made before he started would make even a non-musician cringe. He spent nearly 2 hours working and when he was done it sounded once again like a piano. Although quite old and no longer being made (a Weaver piano), he was familiar with it, knew all of its quirks and readily prepared it for tuning. He handled the piano with great care and even vacuumed all the dusty bits before putting it back together.

  • WE'VE USED OBERLOH FOR SEVERAL YEARS FOR OUR SON'S CLARINET SERVICE AND REPAIR. WE ALSO PURCHASED A USED CLARINET FROM THEM. THE LATEST EXPERIENCE WAS THEIR MIRACULOUS REPAIR OF HIS 'A' CLARINET. WE FIND THAT THEY GIVE US THE SERVICE WE NEED -- AND NO MORE -- AT A FAIR PRICE. THEY TAKE THEIR TIME, BUT THEY'RE WORTH THE WAIT.

  • VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, EXPERIENCED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF. ONE TIME WHEN THE REPAIR TOOK LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED, THEY DIDN'T END UP CHARGING US. THEY HAVE DONE QUICK REPAIRS ON STUCK KEYS FOR US SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT CHARGING, KNOWING THAT WE ARE RETURNING CUSTOMERS. THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT YOU RIGHT!
