Thank you to Bryan and his crew for being professional and no-nonsense. Bryan came over to look at my tree and told me what needed to be done and how much it cost. We scheduled a date and his crew got it all done, and they even cleaned up all the pine needles in the yard, thank you! It was about a ~70 year old pine tree that I guess is about 50-75 feet tall. It was shedding tons (almost literally) of dead needles and was losing branches. Now it's cleaned up and should be good for a long time.

    Cascadia Landscaping
It pains me to give Cascadia such a low rating because Dana (the owner) is a nice person and genuinely wants to please his customer. However, the bottom line is that hes simply not very good at his job. After six months of frustration with the appearance of my yard I finally just had to let him go. To put it gently, after 6 months of Danas work my yard looks like it got a really bad haircut. I was referred to Dana because I was looking for a certified arborist who could not only straighten up the yard, but properly prune it throughout the year. His pruning job looks simply atrocious. Awful. Ridiculous. Just plain bad. Now, Im sure Dana will come back and claim that I didnt give him enough direction. Sorry, no. How many times does a professional landscaper need to be told to: a) mow and edge the lawn; b) weed the yard; c) prune the bushes; and d) blow the patio? At least five times, obviously, because I can name four and it never happened. The man clearly hates to weed and only pulled the largest, easiest weeds to grab. Multiple times he showed up without a lawnmower and mowed with his weed whacker...that was a waste of time. The edging lacked any semblance of a straight line and looked like it was performed after a couple of cocktails. The pruning? Truly, words dont do it justice...I have pictures to rebut anything Dana would claim otherwise. In my opinion, Dana would be best served to work for a landscaping service where he did one job for them and did it well. Hes way, way, WAAAAYYYY over his head trying to do it all.

    Tuxedo Turf & Tree
Ive used hem for years (over 10) on a twice monthly schedule. For the past few years theyve been coming less frequently. I asked once and they came the next day, but now its been over six weeks! And theyve said they dont have anyone to come soon.

    Altaview Tree Service, LLC
Hire Altaview Tree Service if you want the work completed on-time and with expertise. Brenda and her crew are on spot when it come to knowing their business. Our latest job included removing a large conifer some knot-head thought would go well on the property line between houses: Altaview made a perfect drop! The crew removed trees, thinned, and cleaned up not only their work, they chipped all the branches that fell during last years snows. A plus is they are cool too.

    Reyes Landscaping
Abel does excellent work. He follows through with everything agreed upon and more. Very conscientious, hard worker and prices his projects reasonably. He is an especially knowledgeable and skilled rock wall builder, as well as other landscaping work. Highly recommended!

    Island Details Landscaping & Maintenance
Good workers, mean manager Most of the front-line people do excellent work, but be warned. If they do anything wrong, management wont accept responsibility. After a worker left an irrigation valve on full earlier this year, I got a huge water bill, but the boss refused to reimburse me, although that worker has been fired. After blaming the City and asking them to replace the water meter, I did get a refund from the City, but nothing from Island Details.

    Mount Olive Landscape & Construction
Norberto is an extremely hard working and conscientious young man. He removed a 35 year old lawn and put in a new lawn last May. He also fixed the existing sprinkler system. Norberto is extremely friendly and easy to work with. He checked back several times during the summer and returned to re-seed a few problem areas and fertilize. Lawn looks great and I wish I could post a photo.

    Seattle Pros
It's been a couple of months since working with Seattle Pros, and I'm still in stunned disbelief. I've had a lot of experience hiring contractors for my condo and our association, and this is the first time I had a wholly positive experience. Seattle Pros is the real deal, staffed by actual human beings who know what they're doing and sincerely care about honorably doing the job right. After emailing dozens of contractors and having SEVEN site visits to get bids to satisfy our insurance company's requirements of leveling a sunken walkway and replacing an open stair rail, Maury at Seattle Pros was LITERALLY the only person who wondered why the walkway sank and performed a general inspection of how things were draining to insure the walkway wouldn't sink again. Maury also pointed out potential future problems with our retaining wall that a layperson would not have noticed...and that none of the other contractors did, either. I can't emphasize how spectacularly rare and awesome Maury is - not even the ultra premium "luxury" contractor (who bid three times as much Seattle Pros) noticed any of the issues Maury pointed out to me. Maury was totally transparent about what his company could and couldn't do, and how urgent several of the other issues were, and what I should watch out for. And of course, the project itself went smoothly. The work crew kept me updated on what was going on, cleaned up every day, were respectful of the space, and did great work. I advise that if you're looking for outdoor contracting services, talk to Seattle Pros first.

    Pinewood Landscaping
Noel just finished up his third job for me. Last year after a large construction project wrecked my entire backyard, Noel put in a beautiful lawn and patio. This spring he came back and planted some wonderful plants around the perimeter. This week he helped with a small patio on the side of our house, took down a dying tree in the front yard, and removed some older plants and replaced them with some new ones. Our yard is beautiful now and we always get compliments on how nice it is. Noel is very prompt for appointments and for his jobs. He is meticulous and always leaves the worksite clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend him!

    System Pavers
Huge thanks to the team at System Pavers that did our beautiful back yard patio. From the initial meeting to the final walkthrough we couldn't be happier. The project manager was super attentive and did everything he said he would and then some. The subs that did the paver work were super easy to work with and also did a fantastic job. Even after we threw a few change orders at them at the last minute, they took them on effortlessly and still finished the job on-time. So happy with our new patio and will definitely recommend System Pavers in the future.
