Mudjacking reviews in Seattle

Craig with Slabjack did a great job. I wasnt sure this service would make a difference as the driveway really needs to be replaced. Grinding made a huge difference and hopefully with some patching it will be salvageable. Slabjack was very responsive and did an impressive job. I highly recommend their service!!

    E.C. Flooring
The result was excellent. We've had a challenging project due to the concrete subfloor being very uneven and cracked in many places. In the beginning when George accepted the job I had doubts because so many contractors turned down the job. However, from an initial short meeting with George he came across very experienced, professional and trustworthy. In addition, his pricing was competitive compared to commercial type of contractors whom I considered on hiring. George was as good as his words and delivered every promise as scheduled. The concrete floor was leveled with cement and the laminated wood were laid down beautifully. He took great pride in his work as his focus was on satisfied customers to return to him on future projects and to refer him to other customers. His staff were all experienced and every reference he provided was equally as good. All of these great reviews written on him not taking on too many projects at the same time, delivering on time and doing beautiful quality work are ALL true. Hire George for hard surface flooring and you will not regret it.

    SlabJack Geotechnical
They arrived at the agreed time and started the repair work. The lower floor work was started first and was completed very quickly. The outdoor slab was raised up to correct position and the correct filled was positioned. The upper sundeck was checked from every angle to make sure it was now level. Because not all of the lower slab did not fit back into place, a filler was injected into the slab making it smooth.

The Slabjack NW crew was very efficient and professional. They took a look at the job when they got on site, described what they could and could not do, and got right to work. Once they were done, everything was cleaned up and the holes we patched. Only way I can tell they were even there is that my concrete patio slabs are now level with one another!

A mountain beaver had burrowed under my garage slab and proceeded to build its underground world. Slabjack NW came and force filled the hole and underground world with slurry from the hole's origin and then again through two holes bored through the garage floor. Everyone I dealt with at Slabjack NW, from Brian Lass who came out to do the original evaluation to the workers who actually filled the holes, was very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this company,

    Griffin Foundation Repair LLC
Awful. They never completed the job. Never showed up on time. When the did, the work was done very, very poorly. I told him to leave the job when it became apparent that he did not have the skill set to properly complete the job. He claimed that he was entitled to work on it whenever the mood struck him because there was no schedule set in the contract. His lawyer filed a lien on my property the day before new years to try to extort money from me.

It took them several weeks for them to get to this very, very small job. They did show up when scheduled and did a good job of raising the section and repairing a few corner pieces that had separated from the main slab. Unfortunately (and understandably) they have a minimum charge which presumably covers the cost of sending a crew but it was a pretty steep cost from our perspective because it was such a small job. But it was worth it to us to make the sidewalk safe as it was a trip hazard before the repair.

    Matvey Foundation Repair
We did not hire Matvey and based on our experience with them would never hire them to do work on our house. They were extremely unprofessional and inconsistent during the bidding process and were basically a waste of time to deal with. We originally got a quote from Matvey for a number of related projects but frankly felt the quote was much more based on what they wanted to sell (specific products and services) than what was actually appropriate for the project. This was based on assessments from multiple other contractors who passed on the project due to scheduling, scope, and other practical issues. Not being able to find another contractor interested in the job we got back in touch with Matvey to do what seemed the most appropriate parts of the work, but they said since so much time had elapsed they would need to meet at the site again to reassess the project. I arranged to be home from work to meet them, only to get an email (not even a phone call) at 10pm the night before from Matvey asking to reschedule the meeting. When I told them that was not possible they found another person to come, who within 10 minutes of arriving told us they couldn't do any of the project because they had changed the scope of the work they do as a company. This was despite having a full quote that they had prepared covering all the work and me having provided a detailed description of what portion of that work I was interested in having them do. The representative did offer to see if they knew of any other contractors who might be able to help and promised to get back to me in the next few days either with recommendations or just to let me know what he could or couldn't find. Needless to say I never heard from that person again. So trying to work with them was a colossal waste of time but to top things off about 2 months after that last meeting (when they told me they had completely changed the scope of work their company did) I get a large packet of materials from Matvey in the mail, inviting me to sign the contract they originally prepared for all the work and even offering me a discount if I "Act Now!". This echoed the constant stream of "special offer" and "limited time discount" offers I got when I originally spoke to them (but which apparently disappeared when I actually asked them to do the work and they said they wouldn't do it at all). So in summary Matvey is a great company if you want to get a time wasting, high-pressure sales pitch for a lot of work your house may or may not need, and which they may or may not be willing to do. I can only imagine what they would be like trying to deal with during a project or god forbid trying to get any sort of follow-up on work they did. The only bright side of this is it prompted me to do another round of contractor inquiries and we ended up finding people to get the work done by breaking it into smaller, more focused projects. While it was a little more work I am extremely glad I was able to find an alternative to Matvey.

    First Choice Grout & Tile
The guy who gave me the quote was nice and said for an extra $200 he could level the floor in my master bath and replace all the tiles. He said to level the master bedroom floor with leveler would be $900. Once the project work began, the main guy started mentioning how much extra work would be involved and began planting seeds to adjust the price higher beyond what the quote was. "oh this is gonna be a lot more work than we thought it would be".... I wouldn't trust anything the quote person says and get adrian to inspect everything before starting with him. The master bedroom floor isn't level. They put down 8 bags of leverler which wasn't enough. To do any more would cost more. The quotes they give you covers time and materials, but whether or not it covers ALL the time and ALL the materials NEEDED to get the job done correctly wasn't known until mid way thru. Since I was hitting my budget (and felt like I could finish it myself for less) I let it go unfinished and decided to cut my losses short. They did improve it but it is in no way level. This is a result of the quote person not communicating the need well. Adrian acknowledged the quote person will say whatever it takes to secure the job. The tile in the bathroom all got replaced. Adrian did a nice job with the tiles and I'm happy with how they look. I had to pay a lot though, much more than what I had wanted to. He did some nice add on caulking around the house and cleaned the shower pan. The quality of his tile work is good, probably an A, but his leveling work is F, so my quality score below is a C. He left the worksite pretty messy. I'm gonna need to order a pressure washer service to clean all the tile cutting residue off my back deck. I gave him numerous opportunities to have it cleaned and he flaked on all occasions. When it comes time to pay the bill, adrian reminds you all the extra work they had to do (stuff they should have foresaw during the quote process) and makes you feel guilty for being able to afford his service so that you give in to his request.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with how great our patio Slabjack job turned out! It was a pleasure to have those three hard-working men come to our home to improve the condition of our patio; it was a challenging job. The crew was outstanding, very meticulous, professional and, well . . . artistic! The patio no longer has trip hazards or doggie paw traps and we're ready to get it resurfaced, once it settles a bit (per Chris' recommendation) over the next six months, or so. We'll be sure to call Slabjack if the patio drops again during that period, although the crew was optimistic that the polyurethane would help to keep the patio more stable this time. The price was more than fair and the company treated us great. Thanks Slabjack!
