    The movers came in swiftly and efficiently. They made my idea of being overtly stressed out go away. I just watched a group of 4 men disperse in my house and conquer a room to disassemble a bedroom or trolley out boxes to their moving truck. I will be calling them if their is another move for my family. Thank you.

    Out Of The Box Moving Solution
    These people are unbelievable. They scheduled my delivery for Wednesday between 3pm-7pm window. Two guys arrived at 6:30pm. One guy was not doing much work and left really early. The other guy (let���s call him boo), soon after he started the work, he said he lived in the hotel down the street and would stay until Saturday, can he come back tomorrow or later to finish the work. I said no. He kept working slowly while talking on the phone to a woman all the time. Because he was unpacking in the hallway, many of my neighbors complained about the noise he made (including his talking). At around 9pm, he hadn���t even finished half of the work. He brought in my furniture to my apartment and removed the wraps, but hadn���t resembled any of my furniture or put them in position. (You will see the pictures.) He kept saying that he would stay until Saturday and asking if he can come back later with more guys. I agreed. I told him to come back Friday 2pm. He happily agreed. I told him to at least resemble my bed and working desk before he leave. He agreed too, but just wasting time around while not doing work. After a little while, he left and called me from his phone saying that he was in the truck and the neighbor said he is going to call the police if he continued the noise, so he said he had to leave right away, and he would come back Friday afternoon. On Friday, I called him around 12pm said I am available for him to come finish resembling my furniture. He said he is in a small move for a studio right now and will call me after and come. I didn���t receive any call from him, so I called him back many times, he didn���t pick up the phone anymore. So I called the out of box company manager, the manager said in record I asked the mover to leave at that day, so I need to pay extra money for that. Total BS!!! And I told him what happened and also I told him I cannot live like this with every piece of furniture lying around in my floor with no place to sleep. I said I talked to boo just a few hours ago, boo agreed to come later this afternoon, but I cannot reach boo any more by phone. The manager then said boo is not the company employee, and he doesn���t know why boo said he is coming back. I have to wait till Monday for another manager to come in to solve my problem. I insist on getting an answer today. He said he will call boo and find out what happened, and call me back in 5 minutes. Then he just disappeared, no call at all. This is Friday, I will continue the post with what happen next with this ridiculous company. One thing I regret most is that I prepaid the delivery money. They said if one wants to use credit card, they have to prepay the money before delivery. What a trap!! Never prepay your money before you get the service. And what is more important, never use this company Out of Box moving solutions. If you use it, after your delivery, your apartment will look like this (see pictures).

    Moovers has now filed for bankruptcy and all of our belongings are being held. They never turned paperwork over to National so National won't help. We have found 5 other affected customers so far on yelp.

    Both crews were nice enough, but, belongings weren't properly protected in storage and were packed too haphazardly in the space. Between that and retrieval several high-value items were damaged, but with the exception of my brand new custom bicycle, which was banged up because it wasn't properly secured in the truck, I didn't see the problems until well after everyone had left. The process of filing a claim for damages for the one thing that could be repaired (treadmill) was too challenging post-move, so I was never able to complete it. Simply decided would never use this service again.

    Estimator was very responsive.  Worked me in to meet my request even though he had to juggle some other appointments.  He was exactly on time and very personable.  He was VERY professional,  very knowledgeable on moves and a very good eye for what things might weigh.  Gave lots of helpful packing tips during the estimate.  I had had 4 other estimates done already and he was by far the most thorough.  Noting several things that I had forgotten to mention.  At the end of the estimate he gave me a written estimate right then which I thought was by far the most accurate. My estimated weight was 13,800 Lb. and 1950 cu ft. 
    The estimator recommended that I go with a binding estimate which is a flat fee for the move. I did since I had already packed some things and had moved before and knew that I had some very heavy Items.  I knew the maximum outlay would be fixed if I went over, and they gave a $0.15 / Lb. refund if I was less.  As it turned out I was significantly over on the weight even though I was under on the cu ft.  Even though their quote was essentially the same as the next  bid, when averaged over the actual weight they were near the middle of the pack. Even with the binding estimate, I was able to add and take off some large items from the list up until 4 days before the move and the quote was adjusted accordingly.
    One thing I found very helpful was that they accepted credit cards without any additional charges.  Many of the others did not take credit cards or charged to do so.  They billed my account for the agreed amount the day after pickup. This, and the binding estimate, prevented me from having to have a very large cashiers check and/or cash at the unload.
    The driver called me the day before the move to let me know when he would be there, and he was exactly on time.  He was very pleasant and informed.  He told me that he had been moving people for 31 years.  The pick up was very fast and efficient.  Rug protection was put down in all the rooms and halls.  Furniture was well wrapped in blankets and everything handled with care.  The leaded glass doors to my living room furniture was protected with cardboard before the wrapping.  They were completely loaded in 4 1/2 hours.  Did a complete sweep of the house to make sure everything was gotten, and picked up any debris left from the packing and move.  At the end the driver told me that he was picking up two more moves but would be at my location 5 days later at 8-9 in the morning.
    The truck pulled up at 8:45 on the specified day.  The crew on the unload end were just as careful and efficient as the load.  Unloading was done in 4 hours. Papers signed and they were on their way.
    Have some odds and ends left to unpack, but nothing so far has been broken or lost.  There were a couple of minor scuffs on some furniture, but nothing that was significant.  Definitely nothing that would be worth the effort of a claim.
    Highly recommend them as a mover.  Don't know how they would pack since I did my own, but if it's how they did the furniture, I'm sure they would be fine. Hard to see how anyone would be disappointed with them.

    PODS Moving and Storage
    We got a quote from PODS and they delivered the pod to my previous storage location, I moved my stuff into the pod, gave them a call, they came and picked it up and moved it to the storage unit. When I need to go and access it, I go online or call in and book an appointment and they pull out the pods and bring them out to me and put in stuff or take stuff out and they put it back in the next day and I have been with them for 2 years now and I have only had one small incident. When I was moving from my old apartment to the new apartment, I had to go there and take stuff out of the pod and put new stuff in it and the so I went and pulled the pod and I confirmed with the guy that I would need the pod the next day so he said he wouldn't put it back but when I went the next day, they had already put the pod back in but they were very accommodating and they had the pod back out within 20 minutes. They bill my credit card directly so I have no issues with them.

    SECURE IT SAFE
    I was looking for a service to scan a few thousand pages of documents, and Secure-it Safe was great!
    I had pages and pages (like about 4,000) of business notes from the past 10 years that needed to be thrown out. However, I really wanted to retain the notes AND securely destroy the notebooks. Putting my home scanner & shredder to that test would surely break them both (and be a huge pain.)
    Although consumer document scanning is not Secure-it Safe's primary business, they have very good equipment, and are happy to handle small personal jobs like mine. Abhey, the owner & president, was extremely personable and helpful. Within a few days I had a nice DVD with all the documents scanned very well into PDF files.
    Don't be put off by their somewhat odd location -- they are tucked inside a big warehouse off Bering Drive -- just call Abhey and he'll help you out.
    When I get to the next boxes, I'll be back to Secure-it Safe again!

    TRUSTED VAN LINES
    WOW!!  I never knew moving could be so easy!!   The whole moving process seemed so overwhelming, until I contacted Trusted Van Lines.  I could tell I was in good hands right from the start.  Because I wanted some of my things to be professionally packed and some of my things would not be coming at all, leaving me really unsure of what my quote should or would be based on.  I was offered to have an estimator come to my home to assess the contents of my move and my packing requirements, in order to provide me a more accurate estimate;  all at no additional cost!  The estimate was spot on!    The crew was outstanding too.  Very polite professional, clean & informative.  I felt very safe knowing my belongings were in their care,  They did such a good job on the packing;  nothing was damaged and everything was easily unpacked and re-assembled, as promised and without delay.  I mean these guys are quick, but GOOD!!  When I moved out, I had intended to move to San Jose directly from Livermore, however I hit a snag on the delivery and was unable to have anything delivered for another 3 weeks.  I was so relieved to learn that they offer 30 days free storage on every move!! When my waiting period was complete, I let them know and they scheduled my delivery for the following day.  Once again, they were on time, professional, efficient & personable.  All in all, you would be hard pressed to find a better moving company than the folks at Trusted Van Lines offer.  They took care of my belongings, kept my costs down, stayed in constant communication with me throughout the entire process and even called me after everything was done just to make sure I didn't have any delivery issues, which of course I did not.

    PODS IS A GREAT FIND! IT IS ABOUT TIME THAT A SERVICE LIKE THIS APPEARED. THEY ARE AFFORDABLE - BETTER AND EASIER THAN STORAGE. THEY DROP OFF A POD IN YOUR DRIVEWAY - YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO PACK ACCORDING TO YOUR TIMETABLE, AND THEY WILL USUALLY PICK UP THE POD WITH AS LITTLE AS 24 HOURS NOTICE. THE TOP IS SEMI-TRANSPARENT SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THERE IS A BUILT IN CLOTHES HANGER AND AREAS TO TIE DOWN FURNITURE. TRY THEM - YOU WON'T BE SORRY.
