  • When my gutters were cleaned, that person told me I should have my roof looked at - especially in the front of the house since the fiber glass was showing . Michael came out and looked at my roof and told me it was in great shape . I did not have to worry and my roof should last another 15 years . He would not accept any payment. I truly appreciate his expertise and professionalism. thank you!

  • I could not recommend Los Gatos Roofing MORE HIGHLY! They COMPLETELY exceeded all of my expectations, and I have tendency to be pretty finicky! Dan was the supervisor on the project and could not have been more professional, while also being very attentive and caring in terms of making sure that the job was done to perfection, and his crew was meticulous!! On a scale of one to five stars, they are a solid six!

  • Joe and his team were amazing and gave us excellent service from the kitchen to the foundation. The quality of the work was exceptional and it was a pleasure to work with all of them. Their success at finishing on time was because of a solid work ethic that sometimes had them staying 3-4 hours extra and coming on weekends when necessary. Joe’s detailed knowledge of current code was very helpful in some of our complex decisions. He even recommended a cheaper option to the intended design and we are thrilled with the outcome. I would (and have) recommend them to anyone with a major or minor construction project.

  • Contract was signed 7/7/17 and work started 10/12/17. First day went ok. Workers (2) arrived on time and they removed the old tile into a large truck that hauled it away. Another truck arrived with the plywood, tar paper, and new vent material. They proceeded to unload the material onto the roof. Second day not much done. The workers (2) arrived on time but had to leave after an hour or so and came back 6 hours later and proceeded to install some of the plywood on the back side of the roof. Third day better. Workers (2) arrived on time and proceeded to install most of the plywood to the roof. Another crew (different company) arrived in the afternoon and they installed the new rain gutters. They completed the work in a couple of hours and did a nice job. Forth day good. Workers (2) arrived on time and finished installing the plywood, covered the roof with 2 layers of tar paper, and installed the rows of wood for the tiles. In the afternoon a large truck arrived with the tile and they unloaded the tile onto the roof. Fifth day ok. Worker (2) arrived in the morning and started laying the tiles in rows. Sixth day ok. Worker (1) arrived and continued laying the tiles. Seventh Day ok. Workers (2) arrived and installed new fascia boards that I requested as part of the new roof. After that they laid more tiles. Eighth day slow. Worker (1) came late and started laying more tile and the end caps on the edge of the back part of the roof. Ninth day slow. Worker (1) arrived and finished more end caps and parts of the ridges. Not much done on this day. Tenth Day (actually 9 days later) better. Workers (1) arrived and tried to finish the project. All of the rest of the end caps were installed, ridge caps, and vent covers. This pretty much finished the installation. During the nine day gap in day 9 and 10, there was one day that rained pretty good. I talked with the owner about my concern that the roof was not finished and he assured me that the roof is sealed and would not leak. The day after it rained, I checked inside the house and there was a large water spot on one of the bedroom ceilings. I called the owner of he came out and looked at the roof above where the leak occurred and he told me he could see why the roof leaked and he would come back and fix the problem. While he was at my house I showed him many places where the work was not finished properly. I also pointed out where defective tiles had been used and needed to be replaced. The 2 owners came back about 3 weeks later and fixed what they could in a few hours but still left a few defective ridge covers on my roof. I also pointed a few spots where you could see material sticking out from underneath the ridge tiles. They told me that was "normal". I told them it doesn't look ok to me. After that they needed to leave. While they were here, I asked the other owner how big a crew should be for a house like mine? He told me 4 workers. The whole time I had 1 or 2. From start to "finish" it took 40 calendar days to complete. Still some eyesores up on the roof. Maybe small to the company but not to me.

  • It took longer than I'd expected--8 working days--but worthwhile. Jose communicated about the roof progress well, arrived early and left late. He even worked by himself all day on Saturday in order to stay on schedule. Jose also cleaned the area around the house at the end of every day, which I really appreciated.

  • Work was completed on time with no hiccups and I'm VERY pleased with the results. Tip Top Roofing didn't come with the nice booklet or a store front, but in exchange, the price was very competitive. Nijaz, the business owner answered my emails and phone calls patiently. He is honest and explained to me when there were any new discoveries or recommendations he had during the construction process. He was never pushy and explained why people may prefer to get it done or not get it done. No surprise costs. There were some things Tip Top Roofing needed to spend extra money on to fix, but they spent it out of their own pocket. If it was significant, they asked me for permission and prices were very fair. Thank you! - Estimate Process - Straight forward. It's a relatively smaller operation so Nijaz arrived, asked some basic questions and went up on the roof. A week later, I had an estimate in my email. Many other contractors tried hard to sell their business image. - Contract Signed - Other contractors were pushing me to a year later. I told Nijaz that I needed to have it done during a certain period and he was busy but worked his schedule around for me. I really really appreciate this. - Construction - This went SMOOTHLY. Exactly as per contract. Showed up exactly 30 mins before stated time. Nijaz always came around at the beginning of the day, helped out where needed and the end of the day to monitor the progress and to update me on everything. I feel they have done everything they could to make it pleasant for the homeowner. They always cleaned up everything before they left at 5pm. - After Construction - Nijaz cleaned around the house with a magnet to pickup any nails that may have fallen. Gave tips on how I should paint the trim pieces. City came to inspect and everything passed with no issues!

  • All About Gutters did a fantastic job replacing our gutters. They were professional and courteous while on the property and completed the work on schedule even though we had a few rainy days during the installation. The gutters were custom cut and fitted on the premises and the property was left spotless at the end of each day. Great attention to detail in both the labor and customer service. I know we won't need gutters again for a while, but we'll definitely rely on All About Gutters for our annual cleaning and inspection. It's a pleasure to work with a company that takes pride in their work and cares about their customers.

  • Fantastic. I wish all my projects were handled like the gutters. Carolyn just does an awesome job and is so easy to work with. Nothing is too much trouble and we appreciate everything she has done for us.

  • Pricing of roof: I had four pricing quotes and they came to be the second lowest. However the delta between the highest, and the lowest was not much in any case. Thus I could go with any one of the four. Pricing of the solar: I had a several quotes including Solar City, and they were in the lowest pack (compared $/kw of the system with all the incentives). Roof Work: The quality of the work is superb. They did exactly what they promised on the quote. Solar work: Solar panels on the roof looks nice; Even though I have a relatively large system due to the pond operation, the panels are arranged well and all the wiring is hidden inside either under the panel or the roof attic through conduit. Clean up: They cleaned all the mess around the house after the work is done, which makes my wife (and in turn myself) happy. Shadowfax gave me an additional discount for doing the roof and the solar together. This is good because it helps me not only the finance side but also dealing with any potential defects once the work is done. I did not deal with two different installers for any roof related issues. The roof is tested well during this winter as we had an unusual heavy rainy season. No leak is found up to now, and the new gutters route the water the way supposed to be. The solar production is too early to say (we need at least one year to see), however, it looks like producing as promised. In the month of March, the production is slightly less than the yearly average (total system capacity/12).

  • The gutter replacement went well, but they left nails, sharp scraps of cut aluminum, and broken plant pots in their wake. Outdoor furniture was moved for the installation but not returned to their original location afterward. I have two small children, so the nails and sharp metal scraps were the most disconcerting. I felt the installers rushed and didn't think ahead. The owner did the estimates and was very responsive.
