  • The automatic transmission in my 4Runner had stopped shifting. My mechanic said he didn't think it was the transmission but a problem with the computer and told me to take it to the dealer. The dealer said there was no error codes on the computer so the only thing it could be was an internal transmission problem. They said the transmission would have to be rebuilt When I asked if the engine and undercarriage steam cleaning I had done 2 days earlier might have something to do with the problem he got a huge attitude and was pretty rude telling me I should hurry up and order the rebuilt transmission before it's gone. So that's when I got on Angies List and decided on Provider name locked. . I called on Tues around 2pm and by 3pm they had a tow truck at my house!!! Wed I got a call from Provider name locked. saying he would like to run an electrical diagonist because the transmission was ok. A few hours later I got the GOOD news that it was the Throttle Position Sensor that failed and the total price would be $375. And that's for the tow, electrical diag., parts, labor AND tax!!! Toyota wanted almost $5,000. to replace a part that was woroking just fine and it cost me $150 for them just to hook it up to the computer. Thurs at 9am Provider name locked. called and said it was done Provider name locked. was friendly, courteous , polite, they kept me informed, they were very timley,their pricing is the best as is the quality of their work. I was extremly impressed with everything about my experience with Provider name locked. but most of all I have to commend them on their HONESTY and INTEGRITY. I HIGHLY recommend them and will be a returning customer myself. THANKS for a job well done Provider name locked. and crew

  • I normally do not like to write bad reviews. However, I had such a negative experience with this company when I needed to get my two front tires replaced. Not only did I have to wait such a long time just to talk to someone, but the gentleman tried to up sell me on more expensive tires stating that they did not carry the same ones that I had. I know that they have been around a long time so maybe I just came at a bad day, but the employee I spoke to just seemed too stressed out to really care. 
    Needless to say, I ended up saving a bunch of money by ordering online at instead.

  • I was hit in a parking lot.  It did not look too serious so I called the person that hit me.  They wanted to avoid going to their insurance company if possible.  I told him I would ask Provider name locked. to look at the damage.  He asked if I could get them an estimate for the repair.     I sent a picture of the damage to the owner of Provider name locked. .  He estimated it would cost $295 to repair.  I told the person responsible what the estimate was and he was okay with it, so I agreed to the price and set up an appointment.

    The owner of Provider name locked. came on time and seemed professional.  Said he had been doing this work for 18 years.  He proceeded to do the work--and prepared an invoice.  I had already prepared a check for amount he had estimated.  However, when I looked at the job he had done I noticed that there was a  scratch showing on the repair site that had not been removed.  When I asked why it had not been fixed he said it was a fine crack that he could not fix.  He said that obviously when my car was damaged the impact caused hairline cracks in the fender.  When I looked closely I could see that there were a number for fine cracks eminating from the scratch I had seen.  He said that if he tried to fix it that it would show up even more that it already did.  When I asked what it would take to fix it he said that it would be necessary to take the paint off down to the frame--repair and repaint the entire fender.  He does not do that kind of work. 

    When I hired him I assumed the work I paid for would do the job.  If he (with 18 years of experience) knew there were cracks in the fender that required additional work to complete the job--he should have told me.   He then handed me the invoice for $315.  He said there was additional taxes he had not mentioned in the estimate.  He could see I was not happy with his work--so he said he would accept $295.  Now I have to go to a body shop and get another estimate.  I am afraid I might have to eat the Provider name locked. expense--even though the work was of no value to me.

    I learned some things.  (1) Notify your insurance company when you have a possible claim.  (2) Get and estimate for damage repair from to a reputable auto body shop (preferably one recommended by your insurance agent)--don't go to a Provider name locked. .
