"I asked that no anchor points - holes - be put into the hardwood floor and this request was disregarded. In all other respects the job was coming along well and the build is exceptionally sturdy. I last heard from the provider on the night of 10/13/13 that he'd be in the following morning, Monday, at 11:30, after picking up the remaining building supplies (closet doors, rods, and trim) and that's all I've heard from him. I'd be glad to know what happened to him and if he were to arrive and finish the job I'd be more than willing to reassess his work, but simply disappearing is clearly unacceptable.

San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is the best! He responded to my inquiry quickly and requested pictures of the damaged door to be sure he could fix it. He arrived on schedule with an assistant and they did beautiful work. The door looks like new.
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
also trimmed the floor molding by the door so that it will close properly and hung drapes in another room. I will definitely use

again for other projects. I highly recommend him.

"I must say I am so glad that it worked out, because he did a great job. I had a front and back door that were not sitting right in the frames, the doors were damaged and I felt they needed to be replaced. Well, doors are expensive, these would have been even more so since they are not a standard size. I shopped around and the price for two exterior doors in the dimensions I needed were going to cost me nearly $4000.00.
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
had a better idea. He suggested that he work on the door, replacing parts, even portions of wood, hinges and hardware. He felt they would be as good as new. I was skeptical, but I figured if it didn't work I'd be ordering doors anyway..so I gave it a try. Am I glad I did. The doors look great, & they FUNCTION perfectly! I would highly recommend
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
to anyone and I plan on using him for many more jobs I have around my very old house.

"I rehired
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
Construction once again after they completed my interior remodel. I had concerns regarding dry rot on the back of my house and it needed painting. This also involved painting the portion of my house which was in a neighbor’s back yard. They completed the work on my neighbor’s side first as I had requested, and cleaned up to my neighbor’s satisfaction. This was important to me as I wanted to continue to have a good relationship with my neighbor. Three pieces of dry rotted board were discovered and replaced. The house was painted and now looks great. They cleaned up the area and finished within the time line. Very professional and excellent work as always."

"If you do not want to give your business and money to an unreliable, rude, and disrespectful person, you should avoid this man. Below is a description of the events that took place- all facts- so you can draw your own conclusions. I called this "company" (which really is a single man operation) on Wednesday, June 27th. Nobody answered and I left a message. He called me back the next day. I told him the situation with our stairs and that we needed to get this job done as quickly as possible (we had painters scheduled to paint the whole house and I didn't want the new paint to be damaged when the stairs were getting fixed). He offered to come take a look at 10 AM that Saturday. Well, 10 AM came and went, nobody showed up or called, so I called. He answered, but offered no apology or excuse for not showing up at the scheduled time. Fine, I won't make a big deal. He offered to come at 3 PM and did show up this time. He gave us his opinion on our stairwell. The plan was for him to replace the top 4 steps and then some hardwood floor guy he knew would refinish the rest. He told us that we should think twice about hiring just anyone who would come in with large machines and damage our stairs and that this guy he knows is the right guy for the job. We trusted his opinion and said "Good, let's schedule". He then said he has some family things and another job to take care of, but that he would call us in about 2, maybe 3, weeks. (Meanwhile, the painting will have to get done as scheduled and we'll have to pay for additional touch up paint later on). Two weeks passed, three weeks passed, no call... So I called him at the beginning of week #4, nobody answered. (By the way, he has no cell phone or email.) I left a message along the lines of "Hi, you came by and looked at our stairs at the end of June. You had said you'd call us in a few weeks, but we haven't heard back. We really want to get this done as soon as possible, so please give me a call back. Thanks." He called back 2 DAYS later. Again, no explanation or apology as to why he didn't call us when he said he would. On top of that, he said "I took another job after I saw yours. I should be done with this next Monday. I'll call you on Tuesday or Wednesday next week". Fine... we've waited this long, I can wait another week. I called back Wednesday late afternoon, anxious to get things rolling. Nobody answered. I left a message. He called back 2 DAYS later. Again, no apology. He said he just got done with the other job and asked what my availability is for the following week. I said I'll be out of town, but my husband will be available and asked if he could call my husband to schedule. He said "Ok, I'll give him a call on Monday". At this point I had had it. Why doesn't he just hang up and call my husband right away? Why is it that he says he will call and then never calls? Why is it that when I leave a message it takes him 2 days to get back to me only to say he'll call later? To top it all off, he actually said he hadn't talked to that guy he was recommending. It's been 5 weeks and he didn't get a
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
to call this guy! At this point, I was so disappointed, that I actually started crying and I asked him if he could please call my husband now. Our stairs look like a construction zone and I really want things to be done sooner than later. I asked him if he could maybe give me the number of the other guy he's recommending, so I can call him since he hasn't had the time to do it. You know what he says? "You're so difficult to work with. I don't even know I have a job here". Excuse me? How am I difficult to work with? He is either extremely forgetful or he doesn't care. I really don't mind people forgetting things as long as there is a sincere apology followed by some action to make things right. Apparently, nobody taught this man any manners. He said "I'll call your husband" and hung up on me. He called my husband the next day to say he can't do the job because I'm difficult to work with. There is nothing more to what has happened than what I just wrote here, so I'm not sure how he came to conclude I'm difficult to work with. So here we are almost 6 weeks out when we could have found somebody else to fix our stairs if he had been decent enough to turn down the job if he had too many other things going on in his life. Anyway, I can't say if this man does a good job or a bad job when he actually delivers on his promise to do the job, but I just don't think rude people should be rewarded with jobs, so I hope you find somebody else to work on your stairs- somebody who will actually be happy that you're giving him/her business.

"WOW! Where to begin?
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his partner
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
are AMAZING. We are a boutique
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
agency with a beautiful office in
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
Hills, and just opened up shop in San
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. We rented out a unit on Chestnut Street in the heart of the
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
that was completely run down, but got a great deal on rent so knew it would be worth it to clean the place up. The floors were trashed, there was piping lining two of the main interior walls, the bathroom was filthy (everything needed to be gutted - tile, toilet, sink, etc). Basically, the place was a MESS and we needed someone who not only had the skills and abilities to clean the place up, but who also truly understood what 'classy' looked like. Per his other great reviews, we contacted
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
for an interview. First and foremost, he showed up EARLIER than scheduled by about 10 minutes, in clean
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and a
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
shirt with his company name/logo on it. Never in my years have I met a contractor who was so professional (in timeliness, demeanor and appearance), and I grew up in a family of contractors!
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
came in, took a thorough look at the place, took some measurements, and gave us a very appropriate and reasonable estimate for the work - he came in right around where we expected. We hired him two hours later, after meeting a couple other contractors who were no where near as charming, professional, and reasonable as
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
!
He began a few days later and brought along
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, his handy partner.
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is equally professional and talented. Again, they showed up about 10 minutes early on the first day of the job. I was already in love with these guys!
They DID IT ALL. Seriously. From installing flooring to gutting the bathroom and building a great shelf, to the paint job and crown molding. They have all the tools they need and their skills are on fire!!!
They BUSTED through the work. I actually had to speed up orders for furniture, etc, because they worked so diligently. They had quoted us two weeks to complete the job, and based on previous remodel experience, I figured that meant a month. They got the job done in 12 days!!!!!
Now, I am a total perfectionist. I want everything done in a certain way (I know, annoying) but
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
totally kept up and took what I said and made it perfect. Some contractors want to push their opinions and philosophies, but he was totally comfortable with how I wanted things, which was really, really nice!
I'd also like to touch on how personable and charming
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is. His English is very strong and his communication skills are great. He is funny, polite, and a pleasure to be around.
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is lovely, too, but very quiet and an extremely serious worker (loved it)!
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
made me feel totally safe at all times, particularly being a younger woman alone in an office space. There are lots of taboos about contractors, but he was always professional towards me. In fact, I came to really enjoy him and got to know about his family, how he got into the business, etc, all without distracting him from his work.
When
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
completed the job, we all knew they had to return for 'final touches' down the road. This include the installation of two interior doors that had to be specially ordered, as well as some final cosmetic touches. In previous experiences, I have had to worry about whether or not my contractor would keep his word and return to finish the job. I called
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
when our doors arrived, and knew he had to finish another project. He said he would be available on Thursday, June 14th an would call me several days prior to confirm. And guess what? He did JUST that. He showed up this morning, again 10 minutes early, and ready to bang out the last few things. I was actually EXCITED to revisit with he and
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
!
This man is AMAZING. I would refer him in a heartbeat not just for his professionalism, but also his ability. The office looks incredible and very high-end. He knew how to do everything from installing laminate flooring to hanging our drapes precisely. He tiled our bathroom, installed a large set of Ikea cabinetry (which is no joke) and painted the interior and exterior. He was always on time, clean, and communicated well. He was just a joy to be around and was talented and skilled to boot. LOOK NO FURTHER!
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is your guy!!!!

San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
looked at the pics I sent him, discussed the problem thoroughly, answered all my questions, recommended a
San Francisco Carpenters Provider Name Locked
solution with a quote on the spot. Completed the job efficiently and stuck to the quote, even though there were opportunities to increase it. Although I wasn't there for the repair he took a picture of the repaired frame before installing the metal, to show that he actually did the repair (instead of just covering up the damage or a sub-par repair with metal). He even put a coat of primer on for me. Work area was left clean. Repair was well done, and I appreciated his responsiveness, skill, efficiency, and honesty. Will definitely hire again should the need arise.
