Fitness Center reviews in San Francisco

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I love this gym. It has everything I want and is perfect if you live or work downtown or near downtown. The cost is affordable, there's absolutely no hard sell (a list of prices is provided to you up front, no tricks!), and you can quit at any time with no obligation. Staff is really friendly and helpful and a coaching program is available for free that involves setting fitness goals and several appointments with a trainer over a 6 month of so interval. Other than at the peak times lunch hour and 5-7, you almost never have to wait for aerobics equipment (there are fewer weight machines, so you may have to wait for those, but something is usually free if you're willing to work flexibly). Equipment is mostly new and well maintained, including many machines with built-in TVs. Ongoing renovations can be a bit of an inconvenience, but it's minor and worth it if you like your gym crisp and clean, which this definitely is. Cleanliness is not a problem.

  • Not a bad price for a membership, but during the initial sale I always got this cheesy feeling since the prices are not posted anywhere and the "special" price was only good for a limited time. Blah blah blah. Otherwise, they have a good workout facility and the staff is friendly.

  • Went just fine. This location isn't fancy or big. Has all the standard equipment just like any other Provider name locked. location. Downside is no pool or courts or anything. If you're looking for a super nice place, this probably isn't it, but it is cheap and does the job.
