Setter was fantastic! I didn't know what to expect because I had never heard of them before but I was super impressed by how professional they were and quickly they were able to find somebody for me. All I needed to do was upload a few photos to their app and before I knew they sent me several quotes which were competitive with a few other handymen I had spoken to in the area. The main difference was that they took the hassling of scheduling and finding the best person for the job away and handled everything end to end for me. Will definitely try again.

    Color Creations Painting Co.
Professional, clean and punctual. Ricardo was honest from the beginning. He informed me of what it will take to get the job done quickly and efficiently. His crew was on time each day, and cleaned up as discussed. I have used Ricardo's services on a number of jobs over the past 7 years, and I will continue to use/refer his services for many more years to come.

    Milan Construction Inc
The project went excellently! The work exceeded expectations and it was on budget and within schedule. Milan made several recommendations that greatly improved the final product (e.g., open concept, structural suggestions, etc.).

    Everlast Construction
The project was not easy. It had to be built to exact specifications. It had to pass a number of inspections. The whole job cost 150,000.00.. Tha'ts alot of money but it was worth it because everything was done right the first time. The hardwood flooring the bathroom , the kitchen all were perfect and completed without any problems which resulted in my family being able to rent the property even before it was completed. Its hard to find competent companies today. Everlast has stood up to its name

    Gabriel Mena Construction
I had a very strange experience with Gabriel Mena. For the vast majority of my interactions with him, I would rate him as professional, helpful and competent. However, when I asked for a small document several months after the work, he completely and willfully ignored me. This was incredibly aggravating, unprofessional, and I warn all potential clients to be aware that he may ignore you entirely after the work of a project is over. The full story is below: I had a water leak from my washing machine on my condo on the fourth floor. After a very poor experience with the mold remediation/air testing teams, I need a contractor to re-install floors and walls. After contacting two other contractors who didnt return any of my calls, I found Gabriel Mena on He called me after I left a message for him, and said he could look at my condo that evening after work. During this period, he was relatively responsive and was helpful when I got a chance to talk to him face-to-face. He quoted me a price within a week, and I gave that price to my insurance provider, USAA. They said that the estimate was high, and so they sent an adjuster to inspect the unit. After another few days, the estimate was revised down from ~$60,000 to ~$40,000. Other than this small delay, I found Gabriels communication to be good. My insurance company was giving me a hard time, so I decided to pay out-of-pocket for all the repairs, and Gabriel required that I pay him in installments for the work. This was a slight hassle for me having to come up with the money every couple of days, but not a big deal. During the work, he did a good job scheduling around my and my tenant/roommates schedule, given that all the furniture needed to be out of the room while putting in the floors. The work itself was of high quality, and 4 months later, all the floors and walls are still in good-as-new condition. The only issue at this time was in paying him my second to last installment: I was cobbling together the $$ to pay him, and so a $13,000 installment check bounced. He said it bounced, and so I wrote him a new check a few days later. However, his bank tried to *re*-withdraw the original check 5 days later, which charged me an overdraft fee, and then the second check cashed, and so I had overpaid. We spent about a week trying to figure out the payment, but eventually both checks cashed into his account, and he paid me the remainder. Up until this point, I would rate Gabriel 5/5 stars. He did the work efficiently and with great care towards my schedule, and when there were issues, we resolved them in a reasonable way. Things went downhill several months later. Because I had paid out-of-pocket, my insurance company was reimbursing me directly. After a long battle with my insurance, they finally wrote me a check in mid August (for money I had paid in May). However, federal insurance regulation mandates that the check be written out to the homeowner AND the mortgage company. To get the mortgage company to sign the check, they require an adjusters worksheet from insurance and a *certificate of payment and completion* from the contractor. I had not received this document from Gabriel after the project, so I texted him, asking if he could send that my way. He responded promptly Yes, and when I asked when I could expect the document, he said By today.. Three days later, I had not received the certificate. I texted him on Monday for an update, and got no response. I texted him (politely) for the next few days, and received no response. I finally called him two weeks after the original text, and he responded Can I call you later?. I said Yes please! Have you been getting my texts?. This was the last time I heard anything from Gabriel Mena. I tried texting him and calling him every day for about two weeks, and didnt receive even a single word of response. I thought maybe it was an issue with his phone, so tried e-mailing him, and submitting a request through his website. I assumed he was actively choosing not to respond to me at this point, but just to test, a few weeks later, I had my girlfriend call and text him, without referencing me. Just like that, he calls her back the same day. She was uncomfortable picking up and asking about my certificate, so I had her text him to call my number. At this point he begins ignoring her as well. Keep in mind that all of this was to get a simple signed document saying I had paid all the money and his signature. It wouldnt have taken him more than 10 minutes to produce. Finally, I just submitted a partial receipt I had gotten early in the project, and it turns out my mortgage company didnt check enough to even notice it was partial and that it didnt say work is complete on it, so it turned out I didnt need the document at all, but that doesnt change the fact that a contractor I had pleasantly worked with for a month, willfully ignored my repeated requests for a simple document for a month and a half. I will not be working with Gabriel Mena again, and I recommend to anyone reading this that they avoid him as well.

    SOD Builders
My mother and stepfather wanted to remodel their kitchen for a while now and they asked me to help them in finding someone that can do the remodeling project for them! Because they didnt know much about it nor they could speak good English, the project was on hold and nothing was done. When they asked for my help, I start my search online, asked some of my friends and at the end, I got a hold of Luxcess Home by SOD Builders. I called them and scheduled an appointment at my parents house. They sent Adam to the house and he set with us and asked many questions and looked at the space while given some great ideas about what can be done. Few days later, he came back and gave us a detailed estimate of the work that he will do including time frame and detailed price per item. During the meetings, Adam was very nice and patient while explaining everything to us. He then made all the 3D designs and it presented to my parents and I so we can make a decision about the project. At the end, we did decide to hire Luxcess Home by SOD Builders because they gave us the fairest price and ideas compare to the other ones. The remodeling crew was honest and worked fast. My parents have finally the most beautiful kitchen and bathrooms that they really wanted! Adam was amazing and we want to thank Luxcess Home by SOD Builders!

    SOD Builders
Luxcess Home by SOD Builders was incredible!!!!!! We hired them recently to remodel our entire house. All of the workers, painters, carpenters and office staff were true skilled, experienced and professional people and very hard working people. We had several problems that raised up after the work was completed and we moved in. the problems were reported to the office and they sent the people to fix all the problems. We highly recommend them to everyone AND we will hire them again without any doubts. Its not a secret that there are so many companies out there that customer service is not the main priority for them while Luxcess Home by SOD Builders is a company is a company that care very much about their clients satisfaction!

    Unique Home Design & Remodeling
We worked with Sol at Unique Home Design & Remodeling on our remodeling project that was to demolished the old kitchen and install a new one. We were worried mainly that the remodeling will interrupt my day by day life (which was the main reason why we haven't done yet). But because of the experience and the history of that company we did go head and did the work. Sol stayed on top of all the things that were involved in the work, his attitude was excellent, and he knew how to maintain a great relationship with all the workers and us. The new kitchen was finished within a month. Great experience and highly recommended.
