Computer Repair reviews in San Francisco

Everything went really well. was a good communicator, he resolved everything that he could, and I appreciated that he explained that I needed to buy a new operating system in order to resolve some other issues with the computer.
- Dan F.

He had good reviews, but I did not have a great experience with him. He said to call him back when it didn't work and it was kind of my fault because I did not call him back. I was just not thrilled with his bedside manner sort of thing. I have hoped to have somebody teach me what the problem was so that I could fix anything that came up in the ...More future, and I didn't find him to be a good teacher as well as technician. He didn't follow up with the call with everything going okay and I did not like his style to the point where I did not call him back. I decided to wait and see if I could fix it. The problem has been over a year and I am trying to figure out how to do it next but I don't want to call him back. It cost something like $300 but he charged for the time I spent explaining the problem to him on the telephone. That already put me off. He sort of charged the minute he picked up the phone. He was specific in making sure that if there is any problem to call him back. That was my fault. I can't really blame him for my not calling him back. It was just me. I did not want to spend more money and not be happy. He might have fixed it have I called him back. The price sounded like it was going to be lower but it ended up being higher because of how he charged us. For his punctuality, he was right on time.

The provider, , was very professional and tried his best to help me with my Apple computer problem but could not. He did not charge me and said that I should request my money back from Angie's List … two coupons @ $59.00 each. If you have any questions, please contact me for any additional information that I might ...More be able to provide. Also, this is not a negative review of or his business. Thank you.

This was truly a very positive experience. called back in a very timely manner after my initial message. He was able to come the same day, and was flexible on timing. Once here, he immediately went to task to fix my printer problems. And in doing so, identified several other issues with my computer and network connection, ...More which he fixed. was extremely professional and proactive, and I would highly recommend him, as well as use the services again. Very knowledgeable and helpful!
- Marianne E.

was very punctual and courteous. He had contacted me by email and we arranged on a mutually convenient time. He went right to work and diagnosed and solved many security problems on home's four computers. The computers were set up correctly by so they all had the necessary ...More security protection from viruses, malware, and adware. He also found what was hogging up a ton of space on two computers and cleaned them up so the computers are running a lot smoother. Iwill definitely use him again!
- Ronald Y.

The Company came out as scheduled; appeared to be professional; performed the work requested; however, in the process of installing the tv mount; they drilled holes in my wall - failed to repair it leaving me with a hole in my wall which they offered to have me pay them to repair. For this reason, I could not recommend them ...More nor use them again.
- Mary D.

Here's the backstory: My mother's hard drive was sorely infected with viral malware. She called them, and the first tech that came out to her house made it worse. The next tech suggested replacing a faulty hard drive. In all they took the machine, replaced the hard drive with a new one, and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7. Days later they ...More called her to see how things were going. They asked her a lot of technical questions and naturally she wanted nothing more than to get this behind her so she said yes, yes and yes to all the mumbling bullet points they used for follow-up customer service calls. Which mean nothing b/c most normal users haven’t a clue when they hear words like “deep scan data recovery” or “bit-map picture files” anyway. My mother is 77. She emails and looks at pictures of the grandchildren. She has a really sweet Studio 1550 that is just about as good as new. Sure, hard drives break. And you'd expect they'd have installed a fresh copy Windows 7 OS on the new hard drive and restored the data from the old hard drive. A few weeks passed and all seemed well. Then she started calling me in early May about this new "This is not a valid copy of Windows" message suddenly appearing on the display every time she booted. Hmmm... So I decided to pay her a visit this past week (June 21st) and investigate. Not only did the message now morph into a "This is a counterfeit copy of Windows" but I soon discovered that all the personal data she had from before was actually NOT restored to the new OS! Adding fuel to the fire, I recognized right away they didn't even bother to do a proper Windows 7 install because I saw three instances of "Windows.old - xxxx" folders at the root of the C Drive. I know my way around computers owing to 17 years experience as a storage professional. Anyone in the know will tell you, a Windows.old folder indicates that a newer version of Windows has been installed on top of an older one. Which means only one thing: They took an image of the "faulty" hard drive, took it out and replaced it with a new one, 'ghosted' that image onto the new hard drive and installed Windows atop the prior one as the final solution. What a sham! A fraudulent sham... Seriously, these guys bilked my mother out of $300.00 before I had a to intervene. And when confronted, they refused to own the problem and blamed my mother for not letting them know about missing data earlier. So let's back up here. I was able to prove they lost her data because the folders that held those pictures were actually on the new system...but all the picture were gone. Their excuse is that unused data will get overwritten if left alone long enough. I laughed. More smoke covering tracks. I wonder how many other older people in NW they've milked $98.00 per with shoddy service. Not to mention, when confronted they had no sense to consider the consumer's . Perhaps they did make an error. Nope! Not them. Which to more condescension, defensiveness and downright belligerence. This post is going to be reprinted on Yelp-DC as well as Craigslist-DC with hopes that enough people will read it or worse, recognize they too were taken to the bank by a shoddy outfit. I am drafting a similar letter to the Better Business Bureau as well as the DC Business Licensing Board. If you have been unfortunate to be fraudelently duped by The . Do complain. You are not alone. Your voice makes a difference.
- Paul D.

In my estimate, is brilliant. He has always solved all problems I have had, while quoting me in the choicest price, installing it, fixing ant computer breakdowns and glitches. He is reasonable too.
