    A Touch Of Thai Massage
This is a no-frills massage.  Simple place that delivers exactly what I need in a massage. I like the prices, location and availability.
I have been getting massages most of my life. I run, bike, swim and lift weights. I like a deep massage.
I usually ask for MORE pressure but the girl who did my massage, BB, was so strong that I asked for medium pressure.
Thai massage is different than most massages that I have had. Loved it. Not for the faint of heart. This is going to feel like a work-out. However, they have deep, medium or light. I started with deep but medium was enough.
Benefits. The next day I ran my fastest 10 mile loop and nothing hurt.

    Paisley Wellness Center
I was referred to the clinic for alternative treatment for symptoms of menopause: irritability, anxiety, weight gain, sleeplessness, and night sweats. I have had acupuncture before, but not for these specific issues.  I've been told that acupuncture does wonders for menopause.
When I walked in, I filled out a new patient form, it was very detailed, and asked about my symptoms, and things I've tried in the past to be rid of them. The acupuncturist then took me into her room ( a portion of the clinic appears to be set aside for acupuncture, and also massage, as well as the chiropractor doctors they have there) The room was very quiet, and calming, and she then proceeded to ask me more questions about my health. I told her my history, and we talked even more about some herbal remedies, and how the process of acupuncture works in these cases. I didn't want to do the hormone therapy my MD recommended, but I do want relief.
My treatment lasted about an hour, and when she was finished,I was completely relaxed. I was then walked back to the lobby, given some water, and then seated. About 5 minutes later, the Chiropractor came to get me for the next stage of the apt.. I think she owned the clinic, not sure, but you could tell she had the respect of all around her. We went back into her treatment room, and I must say, was the gentlest chiro I've ever been to. She didn't attack me like some do, snapping and cracking, instead she maneuvered me gently, and asked permission before any adjustments were made. Amazing. The adjustments she did were to reinforce the areas of my body that would help me retain the acupuncture treatment she said, and that I should come back to see her in two weeks to make sure it holds. I was shocked they didn't pull that, "you have to come back three times a week to get results" bs that my last chiro pulled. Truly impressive.
Since my treatment, I have slept better, felt more calm in general, and way less anxious. I'm going back to see them both again, because if it continues to work, it means no hormone therapy, and I'm all for that!

San Diego Herbal Medicine & Accupuncture
30+ years ago my physicians told me I would loose my ability to walk if I didn't have spinal surgery.  Fortunately I have practiced yoga for many years and I knew surgery would only make my back worse.
When I moved to San Diego 3 years ago I found San Diego Herbal Medicine and am still walking and surgery-free!  Once a week I go to see these remarkable practitioners and find that my whole self is better off.
Amber and Jaz are the 2 practitioners I use most frequently.  Amber works effectively on deep tissue, my upper body, head and neck and is a wonderful acupuncturist.  Jaz works on lower body and the smaller muscle groups as well as deep tissue problems. They also works with native American practices and meditation.
Quarterly I have a 4-handed massage done by both ladies.  My body is fully rejuvenated and completely synchronized by the time we are finished.
Rom is the herbal pharmacists and really understands the body's responses to herbs and traditional medicines.  He is remarkable in the depth of this understanding and his ability to listen to his patients.
My 91 year-old mother also goes to SDHM&A weekly and her balance, fluidity, and mental acuteness are enhanced by her treatments.

    Healing Touch Massage by Beth
Beth always does a great job. I have tried several massage therapists in San Diego but only see Beth now. Her massage room is warm and relaxing and she is very professional. She will ask for your feedback to make sure you are happy with the pressure - not too hard but enough to work out any problem areas. Personally I do not like a massage to hurt, but I want it to relieve any muscle tension and pain. Whether you want a simple relaxation massage or need therapy on a particular area she will take care of you in a friendly and professional manner. I always feel so much better afterwards when I need Beth to work on a problem area and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

    Liang, Quan
It went very well! It took 5 treatments of acupuncture and massage and it was well worth the money. I would recommend anyone that is in need of acupuncture or massage to make an appointment. It had been several months since my last treatment and recently was feeling a little discomfort again so I decided to go back for regular treatments. I called on a Monday and was at his office the next afternoon.

    Reed, Dr. Timothy
He is wonderful. He does more than the 7 moves a chiropractor does. He will find a solution to your existing pain. Your feet, your hands, your elbows, your neck - he can fix it all. I've had plenty of bad chiropractors that's why I do appreciate this guy. And his front office, Marlean, is fabulous. She is happy and she will find an appointment for you. She has empathy for your pain so she will get you in there. They even have massage there and she works with your insurance company and those insurance companies can be a real pain.

    MYOTHERAPY SAN DIEGO
iShe uses Bonnie Prudden myotherapy method to release trigger points. She had the best effect in treating
my pain and stiffness, more than any other treatments. Very precise type of massage with lasting results.
She is a delightful kind professional always on time and focused.
I lost track of her and just found her number again and hope very much to get appointments with her again.
    Highly recommend. Excellent

    Massage Envy - Mira Mesa
Massage was fine. Not the best I have had but did the job. The staff member worked on the areas I told him were sore and I did feel better after the massage. They did not have enough women on the staff to accommodate my husband wanting a female masseuse (we checked several time slots over 2 days)
The office seems a little tired and dark, but it is clean. The staff is attentive enough and nice at check-out.

The Center For Massage And Holistic Therapy
I have become a regular client of Jay's. I highly recommend him. My athletic husband also saw Jay at my suggestion, and was very happy with his deep tissue massage. I have not booked with others at this center, but have seen recommendations for them as well. The Center offers a special rate for first visits.

    Bonita Acupuncture
The office was nice, but cold.  There were some fountains and nice music, but in all it was just an office...more like a Dr. office than most places I've been.  This is no spa experience.

After signing in and waiting a good bit, I saw the therapist.  She was a very large, burly lady, but friendly and helpful. She performed the massage very well...a little chatty, but she did a great job.  She was strong and able to get at my tight muscles and loosen them up. She also determined that I needed to take more water and less caffeine, which is helpful.
After the hour finished I was not much better from vertigo, but I was relaxed and felt better.  After a day or so I did improve and I feel the massage helped.

Update...I have gone back as I have had a hard time finding a good massage therapist. I worked with another therapist, and she is wonderful. The office environment is still a bit cold, but they are flexible and easy to work with. It was a bit nicer, more smiles and friendliness the last few times I've been in. I've upgraded to a B. It's still no spa experience, but the massage is good and prices are very affordable.
