Hospital Care reviews in San Diego

  • They are outstanding. The cardiologist is a member of Provider name locked. . Everybody at the hospital explained everything from start to finish; there was no second guessing. Everybody put me at ease considering they were checking to make sure I didn't have any blockage in my heart. They are very good. I didn't have a blockage so I didn't have to have a stint put in. They made it great and I would recommend them. I haven’t dealt with the billing department. I would absolutely use them again.

  • I had asked that all my records be sent. The doctor had not found any breaks, but he did not order an MRI. I went home. No meds, nothing. They did give me crutches finally after my friend complained rigorously. they did not send my records right away. I called on Monday to remind them (3 days later), but they could not find them. This held up getting the needed help through Mercy's Physicians Medical group who would not authorize ( I will be writing them up as well--negatively) any help until they had the X rays from US Urgent Care. I had to call them again a week later. They finally found them. They were going to take up to 2 weeks to get to my doctors-- again a delay. Luckily, a person there was able to at least send the result of the records to my doctor in order to get authorization for an MRI, a wheelchair, and an orthopedist which I didn't see till two weeks after the injury. One other note, my brother and niece are doctors. They both knew I had done some major damage, but Mercy's Physician's group decided that I was not important enough to require urgency which is what my doctor requested when she saw the injury. I didn't get an MRI till three weeks later. I didn't get a wheel chair till after the orthopedist which was two weeks later after the injury. I think the MRI corroborated the fact that I had done some serious injury to my knee. Though you think my doctor, my brother and niece and her husband--all doctors said it was a bad injury.

  • They are quite well organized and all of the patients? records are computerized. When you go in for an appointment all of your records are right there on a screen in front of the doctor. You don't have to shuffle through papers; they know everything about you and can find out right away any information about your medical past. If there is an emergency and you can't get to your primary care physician then they will have you see another doctor, there is always someone available. The only disadvantage, which is probably true of most hospitals, is that if you go to the emergency room there will be a long, long wait. The staff is all competent and friendly. When you see a doctor they always give you the impression that they have all the time in the world to spend with you and they never rush you through the appointment.
