  • I was very happy that a technician was able to come out the same day I requested service. He showed up promptly and fixed the door. Great service!

  • Ok - I'm very picky, I research the heck out of everything and everybody before I buy or hire, and I'm reasonably familiar with many household and auto repairs so I try to do as much work as possible myself, but I feel that Provider name locked. spring spring replacement is generally best left to the experts.  So I searched all the usual websites and sources for reviews and info, researched all the specifics of my specific Provider name locked. problems, and talked to several neighbors and friends -  and I eventually came down to choosing Provider name locked. for the work.
I'd also had a poor experience with a different company, Provider name locked. Medics, just a few months earlier when I'd called those guys for an Angie's List Provider name locked. tune-up/Provider name locked. special - they came out, oiled the door but refused to adjust or doing anything else and were very quick to try to upsell me for a whole new system at $1.5-2K, etc (very common theme with Provider name locked. and many other service companies).
My experience with Provider name locked. was much, much better.  Provider name locked. was courteous, efficient, and professional on the phone all three times that spoke with her.  She scheduled Provider name locked. to come out and take a look at my door within a couple of days.  Provider name locked. was really exceptional in all phases of the job.  I provided him with as much detailed information and measurements/sizes of all components of my door when he arrived and I had everything cleared out in the garage - he answered all of my many questions and gave me straight forward honest answers regarding everything.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate a contractor/service provider who will just be straight with you, respect what you have to say about the job, and provide an honest true estimate of the work.
I initially wanted only the springs and cables replaced and maybe some advice/repair on the crack/split in the top section of my door, (suspect this damage occurred when I manually released the door from the opener track with my son and only one good spring holding this 300 lb door - it slammed down fairly hard).    I expected that I'd be doing the opener motor replacement myself later on in the year as I'd already repaired some of its internal electronics two months earlier and was also a little short of extra funds - but I'd already researched openers extensively and I was open to GDM possibly including the motor replacement in this job - for a reasonable price.  I told Provider name locked. which brand, size, and drive-type of opener I was interested in and he said he would bring one with him when he came back to do the actual work - he also asked Provider name locked. to give me the exact model (Liftmaster 8557) so I could research its specifics to my satisfaction before he came back.  Provider name locked. called soon after and scheduled me for Tuesday the following week, but later called to say that she could move me up to Monday due to a cancellation.  All in all, both Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. were very prompt and responsive with all of the scheduling and work.
Provider name locked. showed up on time the following Monday, explained everything to me to my satisfaction (and yes, I can be a bit hard to please) and got right to work.  He replaced both springs with a size combination that better fit and balanced my heavy door, replaced both cables, put in a better center shaft/spring support bearing, replaced the door opener motor system, installed an external entry keypad in my chosen location (this was an extra item I elected to add), programmed the remotes and keypad for me, provided a repeater to allow compatibility with my wife's car's Homelink door opener button, provided all of the paperwork and instructions, fully explained all aspects of the system to me, and answered all of my specific questions about lubrication, future adjustment, roller upgrades, and the Liftmaster 8557 system's controls and features.
All in all, Provider name locked. provided exactly what I wanted and needed - he installed better quality parts than most GD companies use, gave me a fair price for the parts and work, and absolutely most important to me, he was straight and honest with me and listened to what I had to input in coming up with the most agreeable plan of action.  The video that is posted on the Provider name locked. home page is honestly exactly what these guys do.  It's a smaller company so sometimes it might take just a little longer for them to schedule in every job, but they are a solid trustable name.  Provider name locked. does most of the repairs, Provider name locked. (the owner) does most of the installs, and Provider name locked. coordinates and keep everything running smooth.  For my project, this company was great and I would highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors far and above any other GD company out there.

  • I had this done roughly 18 months ago as I had a heavy shower caddy fall off the shower head and it created three 1/2 inch chips in the paint. I saw this special and thought great idea. About 6-8 months later a plastic shampoo bottle fell and again opened up a hole in the paint. Since they have year guarentee I called and scheduled a retouch. When the technician got there I was at work but my husband was there to great them. I got a call from the home office informing me that this damage was not technically covered by this year warranty. But they were kind enough to patch it anyway. So that is truly an amazingly nice thing to do. However, to me a refinish bath tub from the 1920's is unique and yes is made of metal. They must have just put a coat of paint of top of it with sanding or smoothing out those initial chips. But then to tell me though they have a year guarantee that this type of service to repaid a chip (it was in the same area as one of the original three) was NOT covered really bothered me. I feel I got an inferior paint job otherwise why would a Provider name locked. plastic bottle chip the paint? Be careful if you have an older home as the refinish may only be a Provider name locked. of paint when what may be better is a higher quality of repair so this won't occur again. Again the cut me slack, but made sure i was aware they were doing me a favor instead of providing it due to inferior service the first time.
