Amada Senior Care North San Diego
Amada is absolutely wonderful! They have provided help for our family for over 5 years – for both my Dad and my Mom. Owner/Managers, Fred and Janice Ehlers, and Jonathan Burroughs are wonderful to work with, and their caregivers are well-trained, nurturing and compassionate. Management is proactive in seeking feedback about their performance – calling to check how things are going and rapidly addressing any issues that might arise. When my father came home from a skilled nursing facility, he needed home care and had a long-term care insurance policy. Fred helped us understand and navigate the complicated insurance process. This was a Godsend. (This contrasted greatly with another senior care company that told us we were on our own wrt insurance filing– and couldn’t even tell us if my Dad’s required care would qualify. We’d see after filing a claim…). Fred and Jonathan visited my parents many times and brought flowers to my Dad when he was in the hospital. We think of them, and many of their caretakers as family. When my Dad passed, Fred attended the funeral – which touched us deeply. We highly recommend Amada.

    Alpha Theta Center
It went really well. I'm terrified of the doctor, and have been since I was a little kid, but the staff is really understanding. They do their best to make a medical facility feel warm and inviting, and it didn't even have that weird "doctor" smell! I did feel like I had to wait a really long time between calling to make an appointment and actually getting in.The doctor was really great about spending a lot of time with me and getting to know me, though, which really left a good impression.

She is a live in care giver that needs room for her and her son whom she home schools. She is a registered Nurse with multiple years experience in her profession and as a elderly home care specialist. She was able to respond to my mothers changing needs as an Alzheimer's patient very effectively, having her son was also a benefit due to the energy and youth he exuded.

Home Instead Senior Care - San Diego
They come to us; it's an in-home care giver service.  They come four days a week, Monday through Thursday.  I really like the fact that whenever we need someone, we just call and we have them.  They are very responsive to last minute needs.  They are professional, well trained and caring.  I have never seen their office.

    Mae Morgan Agency
We only used the service for a  couple of weeks because my mom recovered and didn't feel like she needed any more help. It was a short term thing and worked well for what they needed at the time. They were good for providing hands-on care such as helping people shower and go to the bathroom.  The caregiver was very attentive, for example she would sit near the door of the room while my mom napped, in case my mom might call out or want to get up.  Later I used a different service when the needs were more around providing transportation and shopping assistance.  For my parents' current needs I think the other company is better, but I would not be against using this one again in the future.  They wanted my parents to give the caregiver a check at the end of each week, which was ok except that my parents prefer to get an invoice in the mail and send a check.

    A Place For Mom
Staff consultants were friendly, understanding and prompt with recommendations.  As I visited each of their recommendations, I used their return form to let them know what I did or did not like about the facilities and the following suggestions always incorporated the information from my review.  Teir follow up was consistent, professional and timely, but never pushy.  I ultimately chose a facility I had visited before I spoke with the A Place For Mom representative. But I absolutely would and have reccomended them.  They seemed to be very aware that the client is going through a very difficult and emotional time.

    Priceless Services Inc
They did a very nice job of blending their work with the existing concrete. Dan laid out some nice curves to make the concrete work look professional. The total job took three days, which I appreciated. I thought the price was reasonable. I plan on having him landscape my front yard in a few weeks.

    Sharp Home Care
I had knee surgery at Sharp Hospital on 2/1/2013. I arrived home on 2/4 and began therapy on 2/5. The therapist, Pam, was very professional. She led me through several exercises and left me a set of exercises to do on my own. Each session she evaluated my progress and led me through other exercises in addition to the ones I did on my own. She listened to my concerns and gave me advice on icing my knee and the proper way to keep my knee elevated. She changed my bandage and checked for any problems with the surgical site. In addition she checked my overall health on each visit. Pam was very personable and positive and encouraged me when I was having trouble. I have achieved the goal of bending my knee at least 90 degrees for two days and will now be entering outpatient rehabilitation on 2/21. I am very pleased with the services provided by Sharp Home Healthcare.

    A Place For Mom
It helped a lot to have them sort out the places that would have been too expensive, or didn't offer the level of care that was needed.

Comfort Keepers - El Cajon, #445
It was a very good experience. They are the best one. It is perfect. I have faith and trust in them. I wouldn't use anyone else. They come on time and I like the people that they hire. I feel at ease with their people when I go somewhere. They are very well informed and they are very nice people. They are very skilled at what they do. I will definitely continue to use them.
