Appliance Repair reviews in San Diego

  • Repairman appeared on time. Give me estimate of $820 for labor alone which he said would take two hours. The compressor was under parts warranty so no charge for that. Took about 1.5 hours to make the swap out. That is around $545 per hour! Certainly nothing "Budget" about the price. I know lawyers and doctors who charge less per hour.

  • He was responsive and showed up when he said he would. He quickly determined the likely problem and explained the costs of probable repairs before proceeding further. He was able to repair the problem (a compressor starter relay) without delay. And he cleaned up after his work. We liked him and trusted him so we asked him to look at our microwave as well.

  • The technician arrived on time. After he got started I asked about the gas pressure check. He said he was not certified for that work. He only did preventive maintenance checks; a certified repairman is required to check the gas pressure. He said this was not the first time the scheduling department has misled customers. When I expressed my disappointment the technician offered to stop the work, leave immediately, and charge nothing. I took him up on this offer. I am giving an overall grade of C since the technician was helpful and honest.

  • Great job by Martin Larsen! Identified and fixed the problem within 90 minutes. He had to leave and buy a part. Fast, professional, fairly priced. Good value! While he was here, I asked him to check my dryer. With 5 dogs in the house I was sure there was lots of dog hair trapped in it. There was. He cleaned it all out.

  • I called based upon the reviews both here and on yelp, specifically asking for Cezar, which meant I had to wait a long time for an appointment. Worth it. He was very thorough and tidy. And he taught me how to some maintenance better to prolong the life of my appliances. A dishonest person would have taken advantage of what I don't know. I would use him again, and highly recommend him.

  • Right on time very nice for the most part. Unfortunately, he was clueless at diagnosing the problem with the washer. It took over 20 minutes to fill for a small load, he acted like nothing was wrong with it and left very abruptly (almost rude, like I wasted his time) saying there is no charge. Well, after he left the water started emptying in turn preventing the wash cycle from running. I told him multiple times it was not holding water and kept draining out but he did not comprehend what I was saying. I am thankful he did not charge me but I still have a non working washing machine that seems like it just needs a new part. Ugh! I chose this guy because Sears appliance repair was 2 weeks for the appt. Guess I will just have to wait for good service!

  • B&B came out diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate and we proceeded. Each time, they were on time, they were professional, and I would hire them again for any large appliance repair. They removed the brains of the oven, sent it to be refurbished (since they no longer make the replacement part) and installed it within 2 weeks. Everyone we dealt with was professional and accommodating. We had called another company, with an A rating on Angies' list, the tech was a bit confused as to what to do, and then the estimate was $400 more than B&B. We called B&B for a second opinion and we were so glad we did.

  • Very well. Sears had to come back again to fix the problem since it wasn't fixed the first time, We have sign up for their service plan package, but they did come back promptly and fixed what turned out to be several problems with the dryer- not just one problem, as they thought originally.

  • He was able to come out the day after I called. He called when he was on his way. Took the dryer apart and discovered the pulley assembly was defective. Did not have the exact part in his truck so left to get. He came back at the time he said he would on the same day. Repaired and lubricated the bearings and cleaned out the dust from the dryer. Repaired the front gasket which needed to be glued back into place. The dryer is working fine and very quiet so repair worked!

  • Tan was extremely professional, punctual, responsive and efficient. We had a dryer that was running without heat. We initially had someone from SDGE come out to inspect it and were told that the igniter was broken. When Tan came to look at it, he determined that the igniter was actually fine but the thermal fuse needed to be replaced. He completed the work quickly and cleaned up after himself. He provided excellent service. I would definitely use him again and I recommend him without reservation.
