  • Provider name locked. came to our home and showed us all the options for blinds, shades and shutters. We told him what we wanted, and he took the measurements needed and left. Three weeks later as promised, he was back to install the blinds and shades. Two weeks later as promised, Provider name locked. Shutters came and installed the shutters. From beginning to end the whole process was pleasant and painless. The blinds and shutters look great and really make the house look better. I will definitely use them again. I would describe them as "pleasant and professional".

  • She came out and measured my house for the blinds.  Only hiccup was that she had to cancel our first appointment (which wasn't a problem for me at the time).  They ordered the blinds and I picked up and installed myself.  They fit perfectly and were easy to install.

  • It was more complicated than I thought.   I don't know how to put down the rating for the quality because the shutter itself has good quality but it was not made it right for our windows.  As always, I shall start with the good things when doing a review as I do it at job.  Here are the good things about the company:
    1).  Responsive and punctual on all phone calls and appointments.  The sale person, the installation workers and Provider name locked. at the office all were responsive. 
    2). The quality of the shutters are very good ( even though they are not customized right to our windows).   The paint is smooth. ( I did wish the paint didn't have the solvent smell though. ) 
    3). They did response to my complaint that the center rail of the window panel was shown between the 1st louver and 2nd louver of the bottom half of the shutter.  Provider name locked. said that they could only move one or two louvers down. And according to her measurement,  moving divider down one-louver,  the center divider rail of the shutter should cover the center rail of the window panel.  She asked me if that was okay.  I said that what I want  is  the center rail of the window panel  is covered by the center divider rail of the shutter,  if moving the divider  one-louver down could do it, that's fine.  They did take the shutters back and adjusted the louvers.
     
    Now comes to the part that has been bothering me and made the shutter installation project a nightmare :

    1).  I estimated that two visits should finish the job.  First visit to do the measurements.  2nd visit to install the shutter.  However, so far, six home-visits ( below as in my calendar)  and the problem is not resolved ( let alone the phone calls).  Since both my husband and I are working full-time,  this project has put a big time-and-energy Provider name locked. on us. 
    Provider name locked. from Provider name locked. Shutters: measurement
    scheduled March 13, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
    Provider name locked. installation: Couldn't install the shutters as scheduled because the frame was not made right. 
    scheduled April 2, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
    Provider name locked. installation: one shutter panel in the kitchen had run-off paint. All the shutter panels upstairs were showing the center rails of the window panel. 
    scheduled April 8, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
    Provider name locked. : Scheduled to put the kitchen panel back and found out they brought the wrong panel.   Provider name locked. also came to check the centail rail alignment issue. 
    scheduled April 11, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
    Provider name locked. shutters: install the shutters adjusted to resolve the center rail alignment issue.
    scheduled April 30, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    Provider name locked. : Provider name locked. visited to check the unresolved center rail issue. 
    scheduled May 5, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
    2).  Even after moving the center rail one-louver down, the center rail of the shutter still doesn't cover  the center rail of the window panel ( as the existing shutters of our other half of the windows do.  When I get more time,  I can upload the pictures of existing shutters  and the new shutters.  )     I told them that I was annoyed by seeing the center rail behind the shutters.  I have engineer background. I can understand that once they made the shutters,  it's hard to modify now since the initial design wasn't right. 
     Today, I got the notice from Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. that "if you want to change it again, you need to pay the alteration fee $50 per panel. "  Well, I don't feel they could make it right now as they have made mistakes four times already.   I asked if I can return the shutters that show the center rail behind.  They won't refund me to hire other company to do it.  When talking to the owner, he mentioned that the company wanted to pursue legal action on me if I don't pay them. The owner said he will come with Provider name locked. to check the shutters next week.  I will pay the check and move on.  I don't have the energy to deal with them anymore.   Guess I got to swallow the price of my mistake  of hiring a wrong company and move on.   Life is too short to spend time like this.   
    If I get some time and enough energy later, I'll hire different company to re-do the shutters upstairs.  With more experience on shutters, I can ask them to put into the contract that the center rail of window panel shouldn't be seen behind the shutters, just as old existing shutters in our house.
