    SCR Specialized Chimney Repair
Dave was wonderful in all aspects concerning the repair of our chimney, that was damaged from the earthquake in March 2020. We had several estimates from other companies that seemed more expensive, let alone reasonable.. When we received the quote from Dave we were quite surprised. His estimate was so much less than other company's. We accepted his quote on the spot with out even having to think about it.. The work performed was complete in a timely and professional manner. We were so please, with how dependable Dave was in his follow through on every thing he said would be done. Including when he said the job would be completed.. We believe, it would be in any ones best interest to contact his company if ever needing any chimney repair.

Ir was quickly completed and the finished product was very excellent! The cinder block wall was disintegrating and desperately needed repair. A patio wall and fireplace were also in need of repair. The finished walls look like new. It is very a very satisfying job!

    HQ Construction, LLC
The project proceeded quite well. We were kept in the loop on all the decisions and progress. It was a construction project so there were a few hiccups, but nothing significant. All in all I would say it’s one of the smoothest remodels I’ve ever been through.

    Asthetic Connection
*Feel free to contact me directly to tell you firsthand about my experience* HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! This is the first contractor I've ever hired and it has been just a nightmare dealing with him. We signed a legal agreement on Wednesday, 11/11/2020 at 11:44pm MST. I sent him half the money almost immediately at 11:49pm, even though the job didn't start until the next week. He was really nice to me after that and excited I sent the money so fast. The contract specifically states that he would start 4-7 days from the day we signed the agreement and that most likely it'd be 11/16/2020. He said the job would take him approximately 4 days to complete. He started on 11/16/2020 like he said he would, by removing six of my old shelves and putting drywall on them to cover them up. One would assume that he'd finish by 11/20/2020, the fourth day like he said he would, right? Wrong! He started Monday, but I didn't hear from him at all Tuesday. I reached out to him Wednesday, and he said he would call back after he finished another job he had to because the weather. I didn't end up hearing back from him that day. At this point I'm upset, because this guy doesn't keep me in the loop about anything that's going on. I was always the one trying to track him down and figure out what was going on. It was now Thursday, 11/19/2020 and I still hadn't heard from Asthetic Connection. I called Don. He texted back and said he was down and injured for the day. I understood and just gave him a pass. It was now Friday, 11/20/2020. Of course by now, you would think he'd reach out to me. No! I had to call him, again! He rambled on about a lot of things, but more importantly that the job he was working on had to get done and that he couldn't go to my place until Saturday night, 11/21/2020. His job was now over due and I thought for sure by now, he'd have no choice but to finish Saturday. I was wrong, again you! He didn't contact me AT ALL that entire day. I texted, I called, but no response. At that point, I was just sick and had enough of trying to track down this unreliable, doesn't keep his word, always making excuses kind of guy. And he's supposed to be an owner of a business? I would never do business with him again and you shouldn't either! I had to let him go bc he barely did anything for the $800 I already paid him and he wasn't even close to completing the job. On Sunday, 11/22/2020, he texted me from his wife's phone at 10:27pm apologizing about how his phone wasn't working and that's why he hasn't been able to reach me. He then asked if he and his wife could come to my house in the next hour to paint the small bedroom and install the barn door. I had no problem with that. Fyi, I had to find a different contractor early on Sunday morning. He was so prompt, professional and did an amazing job! I guess when my husband explained about the other contractor to Donald, he didn't like it. He told my husband to have that contractor do the job and walked right out of our house. That was so pathetic! What professional with their own business does that? What else should should we have done??? Sit around and wait for Donald, who already flaked on us multiple times? Should we have sat around and hoped he would get back to us and do the work on his own time??? No! It doesn't work that way. Please save yourself the headache and DON'T GO WITH DONALD PROSPT w/ ASTHETIC CONNECTION for any services. -Annabella Hunt-

    Morehouse Construction
I wanted to pass along how pleased we were in our experience working with Rob Morehouse of Morehouse Construction. Rob was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. We had the extra complication of completing the project on our house in Utah from Texas, and Morehouse Construction really handled everything. He also has been very good about following up after the project is done. If you are looking to renovate or remodel, I would recommend getting a bid from Rob.

Russ (and family) was great to work with and did high quality work. He came by to give us a quote on expansion of window openings, moving door openings, etc. He informed us that we had structural brick (only a wooden header which was only allowed for several years before the technique was banned). He let us know he would not do the work until we spoke with a structural engineer because of this. As new owners of this old house, we were very happy to have someone who was knowledgeable of the way our house was built and was able to guide us to ensure our home remained structurally sound. He helped us come up with a plan to do the work we needed to fit his and our scheduled remodeling steps. We're extremely happy and impressed with the work. You can't tell where brick was added. The colors match better than we ever expected. It was also great to work with a true family business! Sometimes the kids would come help and his dad showed up on occasion as well. I highly recommend Russ for his craftsmanship, knowledge and work quality! Following is a bit more detail on the work and results. We expanded nearly all windows and doors in our 1959 brick house. We also added two sliding doors to the back of the house. There was a regular swinging door that needed to be bricked over. Because of all of the added openings, we had lots of extra brick. Russ was able to clean and reuse our original brick window sills and tooth in every opening. You know when you drive around an older neighborhood and you can see the brickwork from the street? Not from Russ. You absolutely cannot tell where he toothed anything in. Our mortar color isn't available anymore. He is so experienced, he mixed it by eye and it matches perfectly. Russ was also instrumental in other things. He helped the window people measure correctly and gave us structural advice that the first engineer missed. Russ may not be the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for.

    Powell's Pro Building and Remodeling
A few years ago I was looking for a contractor to add a couple of windows to my dark family room. A friend in my book club recommended Powell’s Pro. They had done some remodeling for her and she was pleased with the outcome. I too found them to be an excellent choice. They did a great job cutting in two new windows and making my family room bright and inviting. Last fall when we decided to take on a bigger project, we had no hesitation in contacting Powell’s Pro. The project started out as a garage addition and HVAC upgrade. Before the project ever started Roger and Lisa patiently walked through all the ideas on our wish list, indicating what was possible. They provided a detailed bid for all the projects on our wish list and without pressure, let us know upfront what was possible. We ended up adding the garage addition, upgrading the HVAC system, upgrading all the windows and exterior doors, extending the driveway, re-stuccoing the entire exterior, replacing the roof, and adding a new walkway, porch steps, balcony and pergola. As with any home improvement project, there were a few unexpected issues along the way. Roger was great at explaining the issues and discussing options to resolve them. The whole Powell’s Pro crew was pleasant and professional to work with and their craftsmanship and attention to detail is outstanding. We are very happy with the result of our exterior remodel and will definitely hire them again when we do our kitchen update.

    Powell's Pro Building and Remodeling
Powell's Pro is highly recommended for any home renovations or similar work.   Powell's Pro has very high standards in execution of their work, show complete ownership of the entire process ensuring all loose ends are wrapped up, demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, are creative in their design work,  are very accommodating to custom designs, are very easy to work with especially as things evolve during renovations, are proactive in managing any subcontract work required, communicate frequently on the status of the project, and have very competitive (if not the best) prices for their work.  They were the lowest of three bids for a complete basement renovation (with extensive structural work) yet rival the craftmanship of multi-million dollar homes.  We chose Powell's Pro due to a record of excellent reviews on Angie's List.  We are very glad we did.  We plan on using Powell's Pro for future home projects later this year. Use Powell's Pro.  You won't be disappointed.
