    Peabody Jr, Dr. Robert R
I have been going for Dr. Peabody Senior and Jr. well over 15 years or more. Never any problems, always very good with eye exam and computer glasses RX over the years. Brought up my concern at December 2016 annual eye exam appointment that my right eye was hurting... like a scratch, or possible something in my eye. Examined my right eye said it wasn't scratched, and mentioned that it may be a possible wart or something, and left it at that. No recommendations for follow-up with him or referral to another eye doctor. Still feel it, but at my age, I have many aches and pains, and tried to shrug it off. The enclosed photos seem to show that it has gotten worse. Was just going to try to contact the doctor and send a photo to his e-mail, but not able to contact via e-mail. Doctor does not even have wi-fi in office for patients to use when waiting. So, not able to contact him. Perhaps he will see this message and reach out to me for a re-scheudle appointment or send me a referral to someone that can pay more attention to my concern.

Exam and ordering took about 4 hours.  It should have been less than an hour like at Kaiser Permanente.  Prices, when they finally agreed to charge me the amount they were advertising was good.  Glasses seem excellent, but it took three weeks to get them ...  a bit long.  As I said earlier, service was horrible, even non-existent at times.

I have been going to them since four years. It all is great there. They take both ESP and eye med which is the company my employer uses. the doctor is nice and professional and so is the staff. They send me a card each year to remind me to schedule an appointment. They get you in and out really quick.

    Indi Visual Eyes
I have been going to them since 7 years. They have a great selection of frames. They are always at the cutting edge of technology. he is very customer focused and cost conscious. It is a family run business, the staff is very friendly and very good at what they do. They have their own lab that do the lenses on the same place. It's a one stop shop. I will like to tell others that they are great place to go.

    Schauffele, Dr Heidi
I can’t say anything but the highest praise for her. She did a superb job. She listens to what I needed. She gave me the most complete eye exam I’ve ever had. I am just very satisfied with the end results. Everyone there was just very helpful and very friendly. I felt very at ease there. I had to do this on private pay without insurance and she even gave me a special reduce rate because of that.

I am a long-time patient. She is terrific. She is very careful and paint-staking in eye exams. She is friendly and professional. She found a small item and said that we will follow that. The next time around, it was not getting worse so we did not do anything. So, she is pretty good. They are pretty busy, but if there would be an emergency, there would be no problems. Scheduling things is generally two to three weeks out which is fine with me. Their office environment is fantastic. They have coffee and cookies out. They are always very punctual. My glasses all work. I pay them. One of the people in the optometry department is really fabulous. Her name is Wanda. She is the one who works on fitting glasses and helping me get frames chosen and those sorts of things.

    Stephen Wong MD
As soon as the doctor was alone with me in the exam room he started telling me how bad my insurance coverage was and how my insurance would not pay for all the tests I needed. He said he "knew my insurance very well as he saw a lot of patients with this insurance." He said I would be left with a balance at the end  of the visits and told me they took Visa payments. I was horrified. I tried to defend my insurance but I was almost speechless. I have worked in many medical offices in Southern California and the physicians for whom I worked would NEVER have treated a patient like this. If they were not happy with a patient's insurance they would perhaps discuss it in private with the other doctors or staff but never with the patient!  I went back to the office at least three times (with a $25.00 copayment each time). I felt I could have had the tests done in one visit but I continued to go back. After that first visit I never really felt comfortable. At the end, sure enough the office billed me for additional money. I called Sutter Medical Foundation to find out if I owed more money. They could find no record of my claim ever being processed. I do not know what happened with this insurance claim but I wonder what was going on there! Then I called Dr. Wong's office and they said I didn't owe any more money but why had they billed me? Anyway, I am glad this is over and I will never go back there again.

    Takeda, Dr. Norman
Dr. T is very amiable and extremely efficient. The speed with which he handles the equipment shows utter confidence and tremendous experience. I'm in and out in 30 to 45 minutes (in contrast, the place my mother goes to takes 2-3 hours for a regular check-up!) but I never feel rushed or that the service is lacking. His staff are professional, though rather cold in demeanor, which is ok. I don't go to the eye doctors for warm fuzzies. I didn't think much of the eyeglass fitting person. I got more thorough service at my previous optometrist's, but that was in a different city.

    Tracy, Brian D OD
Dr. Tracy and his staff are very friendly and professional. He does a comprehensive eye exam and explains everything he's doing and seeing, providing patient education along the way. He has a good selection of frames, and all the glasses I've gotten from him (with progressive lenses, ultra thin/light plastic, tints, polarization, various other options) have worked great.

    Leong, Richard
He was really thorough, really good and very experienced. He came highly recommended from our neighbor and he followed through. He's very good. They're thorough and they did a procedure I don't normally get from an optometrist visit and that's where they were looking inside the eyeball with certain snapshots and they sent us pictures afterward. We paid extra for it, but we thought it was good. So they just did extra functionality. The doctor is very experienced over 30 years and his experience comes through. They are very attentive. They were very punctual. I mean we were there and I'm sure we got seen within 15 minutes of our arrival. By accident, I got billed a late charge and it was a misunderstanding, and when I brought it up to the manager, it was immediately remedied. They were very good. Dr. Leong is so knowledgeable, everything was explained, his assistants did some pre-checking before the doctor came in. Very thorough, it was all good, excellent. During the service, communication was very good and everything else, follow ups, glasses are ready, very thorough, and they even provide email information, so very accessible and follow ups were appropriate.
