Provider name locked. has worked on two projects for me and is about to do a third.
First, he built all custom cabinets in my very small bathroom, the only
bathroom in a 2/1 1933 East Sac bungalow. I sketched out my idea to him
and he went way above and beyond. I had more (and more useful) storage
than most huge new bathrooms, and he made a very small space totally
usable. Second, he built a beautiful facade and cabinets for the
world's ugliest cinderblock fireplace. Visitors to my home just assumed
that it was original to the house, it was that true to the style of the
house. Provider name locked. basically created it out of thin air, all I gave him were a
few photos that I liked the look of. I should mention that while he's not inexpensive, his prices are very reasonable for the phenomenal quality. Also, he is generally booked at least 6 months in advance, but very worth waiting for. You should not hesitate for a moment before hiring him.

Throughout our email and phone interactions, he was incredibly helpful and engaged in understanding and solving my problem.
He was very prompt and responsive in our interactions. For example, I received replies from him within two hours of sending each of my emails.
When the answers to my questions got more complex, he suggested a phone call to explain the issues and options. I really appreciated the information and his collaborative approach. Provider name locked. will be the first person I contact for future cabinet issues.

He still owes me about $4500 after small claims court and an appeal. He has not paid. I have been forced to put liens on his property and attempt a bank Provider name locked. . He appears to have closed his account.
He built the vanity first. It looked great, but when I touched it the paint job was rough. He put up an argument about taking it back to the painter because he'd already paid for it. I insisted and the painter fixed it, no problem. When we went to put the vanity in, it was approximately 3 inches too large to fit in the opening - he had measured incorrectly. His first solution was that I should move the pony wall. I told him that would not work because that would mean I'd have to redo the floor. Then he cut a few inches off each side and brought it back - it was no longer centered. I (not he) Provider name locked. up a revised plan and he fixed it. It was just a bit too small for the opening - we fixed that with trim.
After this experience, I let him know that due to the quality of his work and his lack of concern with customer satisfaction, I felt it was better that we just settle up for the vanity and go our separate ways. He had requested, and I had foolishly given him, half down ($8000) to start on the project. He said he was almost done with the kitchen island, so I agreed to pay for that too. We agreed verbally that he would provide me with costs for the two pieces and then reimburse me the remainder of the $8000. That occurred in November 2014, I believe. He provided me with an estimate for the island, but not for the vanity (that he brought to court - backdated).
He ignored my calls, didn't follow through on agreements and commitments. Eventually, I heard through mutual acquaintances that he was going to drop materials off at my house because he wasn't going to reimburse me at all. I had to take him to small claims court. He appealed. I won both times. I still have not seen a penny of the ~$4500 awarded.
