Acupuncture Treatment reviews in Sacramento

  • Within 2 days, I felt significantly better. Within a week, I experienced a 90% reduction in pain and limitation of movement. I continue to see Dr. Du for maintenance at my request because it feels so good not to hurt.

  • I was a client here over twenty years ago for several treatments until I moved out of the area.
Even back then, I felt Miles really understood and treated body, mind and spirit not just physical symptoms.
When I came back here to live, I recently contacted Miles Roberts Acupuncture and was delighted to find they
had not moved or retired! I have seen Miles for acupuncture five times so far and each time I see an improvement in
my overall health. My blood pressure is still a challenge but the Chinese herbs are helping as well as an exercise program that
Miles suggested. I feel like I have more stamina and a better outlook on life now that I am a senior.
Even though I see a medical doctor, I feel I can rely on Miles and acupuncture for my health issues as well.
The staff is great and overall I would recommend Miles to others and I have sent clients of mine to see him as well.

  • His treatment is very effective. I mean he has just done some or been able to deal with some chronic situations that mainstream medicine has not. He's a really affable, really nice guy. Lovely beside manner. Just generally very effective, very efficient, does it very well.

  • He was fine but the cost was not sustainable. He charges more than regular acupuncturists because he has an MD as well. His treatments were fine. He is by himself and he does his own clerical and everything. I was seen in his brother's chiropractic office and I didn't care for the facility as much. He was really available and punctual for a doctor. He was very direct but it was fine because that's what I like. I couldn't afford $140 a visit.

  • It definitely has helped. I do not have hot flashes any  more. For quite sometime after first starting even my hip pain was gone, though we were not treating for that. I was anxious at first but things have gone well. There are days I'm more sensitive and one or two of the acupuncture needles are felt more than other times. I'm also taking some herbs and such that I have had to pay for beyond the cost of the acupuncture treatments. Everyone knows you by name. She has recently added another acupuncturist to help her. They allowed me to work out a payment plan so I didn't have to pay the entire cost of the 40 visit package at once.

  • I've seen various acupuncturists, but Jean is the best of all. In 2010, I developed carpal tunnel from work, I went in for several treatments and it went away...I do not suffer from this anymore. During that time, I went to try another acupuncturist just to see how it was, their setting was a spa-like clean setting, but the effectiveness wasn't all that great. Jean would massage my arm, then perform the acupuncture, then another massage afterwards- if she wasn't too busy. My carpel tunnel completely went away, thanks to Jean!
In 2012, I became pregnant and was suffering from lower-back problems, sciatica, restless leg syndrome (leg soreness, muscle spasms) due to my pregnancy. This started when I was about 6-7 months. After not being able to sleep for 3 weeks due to my leg pain and discomfort, I read in my "What Do You Expect When You're Expecting" pregnancy book recommended that I could get acupuncture for my leg and lower back issues because NOTHING else was working. I called Jean and she performed the acupunture, that same night I was able to sleep, I was extremely happy and excited, it was a MIRACLE for me, I bragged to all my coworkers telling then how much it worked.
The experience is so nice...again- she plays nice background music, she massages my legs, disinfects w/ alcohol cotton ball, puts in the tiny needles (doesn't hurt at all, just feels like a quick pinch), then she turns on these heat lamps on my legs and feet and another on my back--gosh I would fall asleep! The needles would stay about 15-20 mins, then she would come back and take them about, then place new needles on my other side of my leg if necessary, then afterwards she would massage me again if she isn't too busy.
Then as my baby grew bigger and bigger, he was getting heavier and heavier- I felt that I needed to go more often. One night, I couldnt sleep at all b/c of my sciatica, so I tried to make an appt, but Jean had a cold and she didn't want to get me sick. I was deperate so I made an appt w/ a different acupuncture office in midtown, again this new place smelled really nice and it was a nice spa-looking place, but the effectiveness of treatment wasn't great at all, also the way she put in the needles hurt me too, to me it was a waste of money.
After Jean got better, I went in, and found relief. She is the best! Aracely

  • Dr. Kauffman is a wonderful healer.  He spent so much time trying to determine what was wrong and how best to treat it.  He saw me two or three times a week for nearly a year.  When all other Western treatments had failed, Dr. Kauffman was able to help regulate my blood pressure.  I have recommended him to others and highly recommend him here. My insurance (which does cover acupuncture) did not cover his service.  Because he is an MD he is a little pricer than others, but his treatment definitely helped improve my overall status.

  • I visited Dr. Derin Gail two weeks ago and she provided information that I needed for a condition I'm treating at home, like things that I can do at home. Which I found very valuable and she provides oriental medicine for the specialty oriental combination of things. Dr. Derin Gail has acupuncture and she consulted with me about my overall health and goal. She is also coordinating with what I am doing with my both regular doctor. She is a senior.

  • After the first couple of appointments I began to feel definite improvement, and within three months had no more problem with either, without medications or physical therapy. There was no problem with insurance billing or getting appointments at convenient times. He even made a copy for me of one of the relaxation CDs I mentioned I particularly liked!Admittedly, I tried acupunture as a last resort after traditional medicine had not helped, and was skeptical that it would help, either. I've seen the results for myself, though, and would not hesitate to go back to Steve Phillips with any future problems I felt could be helped by acupuncture.

  • He treats a variety of ailments. I have had great success in pain relief with lower back and neck pain. He's extremely gentle. You don't even know you're getting pinned. He explains each step of the process. He is extremely knowledgeable and a very caring individual. The location isn't the prettiest but it is clean and affordable.
