    Jerry is a pro. Great transmission service on my '67 Mustang with a problematic C4 automatic (no reverse and slipping out of high gear). He stayed a little later one day so I could drop it off, and he first tried to find a simple (and cheaper) fix to see if band adjustments or a vacuum modulator would solve the issues. It turned out I needed a rebuilt transmission, but Jerry found a bad pump and some other worn out parts that should have been replace the last time the C4 was rebuilt a few years before (this had caused a premature failure). At any rate, even with the extra parts, his price was still better than the national chains. Seriously, look at the reviews on here--good work, good prices, good communication--what's not to like? This guy is the real deal. I will be back with my other vehicles for sure.

    I taken my older car in there, but my kids go all of the time. They just have some good mechanics and are pretty reasonable. The cost and reasonable and they're conscientious. They're charged me $1,600, butt hey pretty much got my car running like it was brand new and it was 12 years old.

    Very well...Stan listened to me describe the problem, test drove the truck and ran the diagnostics. He gave me several repair options with respective cost estimates which he confirmed once the transmission was removed and checked. Since I intend to keep the truck long term I chose the more comprehensive repair. When I dropped by the shop during the repair he showed me some representative parts to illustrate what was being done. When the work was completed he asked me to stop by a week later so he could just double check the repair was free of leaks. So far it is running like a new transmission. Stan made an otherwise unpleasant thing a positive experience.

    Went pretty good. Car was there longer than we anticipated which was not good, took almost a week, but then we didn't push him either to go faster-we could have been the squeaky wheel.
    Fixed the problem, could have said we needed a whole new transmission but we didn't so it was about 1/4-1/3 of a replacement and we appreciate that!
    Friendly and that's always nice.

    They have done a lot of stuff for me.  I have been dealing with them, I have been a through a couple, three different cars, a couple transmissions.  They do a good job, they are very reasonable.  I have sent people to them and they always tell me they are happy and what a great deal.  They are very reasonable, they do a great job and they stand behind their work.

    2002 Ford Focus
    Transmission wasn't shifting into third gear, and car's computer indicated a faulty shift solenoid.
    Ford dealer's Service Advisor said in no uncertain tones that they could not guarantee a repair and that the technician recommended replacing the transmission. I took that to mean that they thought the transmission was beyond repair.
    I drove the car to River Ridge, and to make a long story short, Jerry's fix has held up for four months and over 2000 miles.
    Do I have some doubts about the expertise of dealer technicians? You bet, and you should too. This experience is a game changer for me.

    From what I understand, they placed sensors in my transmission to accommodate for any problem areas in my transmission. It should work better than before. Service was great. I brought my car back for a 15 day evaluation. I also have a 24,000 mile warranty. It wAs more expensive but the quality of service was above average.

    We were really in a bind--transmission failed on our 2004 Honda Odyssey and we had no idea where to take it.  While on the phone with the tow service, I pulled up Angie's List and chose Jerry for high rating and close to home.  We're very grateful we went there.  He was very professional and seems to really care about his customers.  He worked with us to choose the right repair for our budget and future needs for the car.  The transmission shifts beautifully.  Unfortunately, 2 days later, the car made an awful sound when it started.  We had it towed back to Jerry, who quickly diagnosed a timing belt problem (unrelated to the transmission).  When we explained that the belt had just been replaced by our usual mechanic, he kindly explained exactly what was wrong, and facilitated the transfer of it back to the other shop for that repair, which was still under warranty.  I would definitely use his services again, and recommend him highly.
