  • My husband and I had packed MANY boxes and had just a few pieces of furniture to move into a rental truck.  I have never seen anyone work harder or faster, than these three gentlemen.  Provider name locked. , Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. are great examples of hard working and extremely courteous men.  They worked non-stop and completed the job in record time.  Starting from my phone conversation with Provider name locked. , I was sold on feeling comfortable and using this company.  So happy that we did!  I will highly recommend them to everyone who needs movers.  The price was great and the team interaction was even better.  I'm sure we will be calling them when it's time to make our final move and need our bigger furniture loaded on a truck.  One of the best parts of this experience was finding out that the 16 foot truck would accommodate all of our items.  We thought we were going to have a rent another truck next month, to take another load down to our retirement home.  This was accomplished by their packing method. They were able to pack it tight and utilized almost every inch.  That is no small feat!  don't hesitate on giving Provider name locked. a call.

  • First day in Provider name locked. crew did arrive on time…seemed like nice guys.  At one point they took things out of the attic, put down a piece of cardboard on to the wood steps and one guy would fling boxes down the stairs to another, I was concerned since I knew there were fragile things in some of the box's. They used two of our packed box's and laid the sofa on top to wrap it….we do also have many crushed box's where they would stack heavy things obviously on light ones.  One guy put too much weight in to the wheel Provider name locked. and then ran with it and of course the wheel Provider name locked. broke.  After we gave them food and water bottles they left all the trash all over the house and yard.  After the movers left we still had a lot of cleaning to do and realized they had taken our vacuum cleaner and brooms.  The next morning they came to Chesapeake to move us in.  One thing I had specified with the sales person and his assistant was that we had all white carpet up and down stairs and it had to be protected.  There was nothing additional to their runners they put only in main walkways.  Of course carpet got dirty as well as railings are now loose on stair case.  One person would actually throw things up over the staircase to another.  One guy threw one of our mattresses down on our bedroom floor.  They took furniture apart to move and didn't put back together.  The freezer on the refrigerator was assembled wrong.  It almost felt like we were in romper room.  These guys obviously felt they needed to make their work into a game.  And then we fed them again only to find their trash all over yet again.  After unpacking box's there were a number of items broken and some sentimental,  scuff Provider name locked. on a few pieces of furniture, my husband feels that on our our master bed screws were probably stripped.  Although we did have insurance we decided based on the deductible to let these things go, however we just realized a television was scratched on the screen.  Clearly the television as well as other art was not packed properly.  Interestingly enough there is a team leader who tries to write all inventory down as well as condition of…I read this and he wrote pretty much all of my furniture was "scratched,rubbed, marred, dented, faded, chipped, badly worn, etc.  Some things we have had for awhile are older, however he doesn't know anything about distressed furniture.  We do have pieces in excellent condition.  He was obviously looking out for his crew.  After the move the  salesman and office people want to know how it went…when you tell them they seem like it just doesn't matter to them.  I talked to one office person and suggested that we should have had her or someone else monitoring these guys during the move.  She said they usually do….don't know what happened.  It seems to me when you're paying over $4000 they would take it seriously.  Again we are very disappointed.

  • I contacted J&M via Angie's list and Mr. Provider name locked. returned my call promptly. He scheduled the work efficiently and his team of 3 people arrived on time to begin the job.  They called in advance to let me know they were on the way to our home. The team was very professional and took great care with all our recording & musical equipment.  I would definitely use  J&M Movers again if the need arose.
