  • First of all, I liked the young lady who did my nails. She is easy to communicate with and she complies with my requests. The other big attraction there for me is the sanitation. They use a new liner where you put your feet in, the little tub there. For every customer they put a plastic liner in. They're extremely attentive to sanitation! They're exactly what I was looking for. They may be a couple of bucks more than some of the other salons but I would say it's compensated for. They have more expense with the extra liners and extra sanitation. So I don't have a problem with that.

  • My wife is very unhappy with the services received. The pedicure and manicure do not look professional. The paint on her nails and toes ran past the nail and created little clumps between the edge of the nail and the finger.
My wife generally approved of the facial experience until the attended began massaging her head w/o checking to see if it was okay. As my wife had just finished getting her hair ready for a night out, it made a complete wreck of her hair.
The greatest complaint against the spa's services is the burn marks on my wife's legs. She came home with three burned sections, two as large as my palm.
She stated that will not be using this spa again and asked me to post this review.

  • My appointments there are wonderful. I am greeted by name when I walk in and asked if I would like a cool drink. I am walked to the seating area and asked if there is anything they can do to make me comfortable while I am waiting for my service to begin. I very rarely have to wait more than 4-5 minutes for my session to start. The technicians are extremely professional. Some visits, I just want to sit there and read a book. Others, i am more friendly and want to make small talk. Whatever I feel like, they follow my lead.
I have been to so many other nail salons and have left with my nails bleeding and cuticles raw at times. Red Door uses only hand filing and sanding and no machines that ruin your nails. It is more work for the technicians and takes longer but in the end, it is much nicer on your nails and hands. The products they use change seasonally and have always been wonderful. I have never been pressured to buy any products or any additional services.
The services are not cheap and it takes a good bit of time for the mani/pedi so if that's what you want and don't have much time, stop in any strip mall and get in and out quickly and for quite a bit less money. But if you want beautiful, soft hands and feet with pretty polish, make an appt at Red Door and get pampered.
One other thing-don't plan to walk in as they stay busy and booked up. Call in advance. While I use the same great technician all the time, they all seem to be very capable and good.

  • If you ever want to get one of the best bar pedicures in the world, you go there.  They don't rush you.  They have massage chairs.  The pedicure includes a hot stone massage on your legs and feet.  It's absolutely wonderful.  I usually go to Mary.  They take an hour and a half from the time they start to the time they finish.  It feels like you have new legs and feet.  I have two artificial knees, so I can't bend my legs and give myself a pedicure, so I go there.  I haven't been disappointed.  I have been going there for eleven years.

  • it did take the receptionist a little while to get us checked in. once we got seated the service was wonderful. every nail tech was very friendly and professional. we really had a great time getting our nails done. one thing that is very different is that you may have up to 3 different girls working on your nails at different times. it seems a good was to increase volume for the business and i was a little put off by it at first. but once we got started it really wasn't that big of a deal. everyone i interacted with was super nice and easy to talk to and have fun with. they did have just one girl do the pedicures. I do like that the pedicure chairs are in a sperate area. it makes the environment a little more cozy. even the other guests were nice. you do sit close to everyone else so alot of people will just turn and talk to the person next to them.
i had a great time and am very please with the work. i will definitely return.

  • The facility is very nice -- light, pretty, not over-decorated and not clinical-looking. It took the receiptionist a few minutes to meet me at the front desk, but they were busy. She was very pleasant. The girl who did my nails was very sweet. She was fast and skillful. (Maybe the fast part isn't an advantage. One of the reasons for getting a pedicure is that it feels good, so the longer it lasts, the better.) That manicure lasted beautifully through Key West, the Gulf Coast, up through Knoxville and back to work six weeks later. Can't ask for more.

  • I have never been here before, despite walking past it often, as it usually smells strongly from the acrylic nails. However, one evening it seemed OK and on a whim I decided to check it out. I asked if they had time to do a pedicure (It was about 8:30 and the stores close at 9) and they said sure. When I came in, I started to regret my decision right away. The pedicure stations were in very bad shape: the upholstery was ripped in many places with the foam padding showing and the massage remotes were dirty and duck-taped to the arms of the chair. I was too embarrassed to walk out though, so I went ahead. The actual pedicure was mostly OK but in the chair next to me one of the employees was asleep and snoring, with the chair leaned back. It was a little off-putting, I must say. For the pedicure, I only have one real complaint; that it was too rushed. I wish they had just told me no, they didn't have time when I asked. When it was done, they told me to take the little plastic slippers and go, even though my toes were still wet, and I don't mean not quite dry, I mean WET. She had just finished putting the polish on, but it was time to close so instead of having me sit with my feet under the dryer while they closed up, I just got sent out with wet toes, in stupid looking plastic shoes (because they were too wet to put my sandals back on), and had to try and walk back to my car without the shoes falling off. Then I had to sit in my car in a dark empty parking lot for 20 minutes with the heat running to dry my toes, so that I didn't accidentally mess it up on one of the pedals while driving. I still can't believe it! The staff was friendly and polite, but I'm still definitely never going back.

  • The staff at Cuty Nails are very nice, and the location is convenient in The Village shopping center. The place is small but clean, and the equipment is in good repair. Sometimes I pay $5 extra to have them hand paint flowers on my toes, and they come out looking so cute! It's not too flashy, it looks nice and it's a nice pick-me-up to have pretty toes peeking out of your sandals. :) I've been to other nail places, and I always come back to Cuty. It's not a fancy place, but the price is right, the service is good, and the pedicure is done right. What more do you need?

  • I adore Rituals. I was recommended to this salon after a terrible hair experience with a chemical straightener. They understood my fears and worked with me. My hair stylist of choice, Amber, really understands curly hair! She's amazing and my hair has never looked better. They always try to accommodate my work schedule when they make my appointments. Their massage therapist and facialists are amazing too!

  • I get pedicures here regularly. Everyone that works there does an excellent job and they're friendly. They have nice new adjustable massage chairs which are great to sit on while getting a pedicure. There's no extra charge for the chair use as in other places. You get a nice leg and foot massage with it too. They have good quality Opi Nail Polish (also at no extra charge like in some places). I pay $25 plus tip for pedicures. I have tried other places around when they were closed on Sundays and have never liked any of them as much as Elegant Nails.
