  • I've tried very hard not to write this review despite the fact that it, on occasion, keeps me up at night. However, at this point, I have a personal and moral obligation to warn people about this man Tom, and his business, in hopes they find the care they need from someone/ somewhere reputable. Someone not Tom, and someplace not "My Medicare Planner". Tom is negligent, needlessly aggressive, an egomaniac, and brings new life to the "sleazy insurance man" stigma. In full disclosure, I have worked for Tom. I can tell you from first-hand experience that he does not care to run an organized business, and he does not care about information security. When you divulge the personal details of your health and personal information to him it is not stored with much security. And believe if a credit bureau can get hacked, he can too. You would hope someone you give such sensitive information to would take care of it. I assure you, Tom does not. I truly and deeply believe it is because his interest is purely the dollar sign, not you, not his employees, and not even his wife (who he countless times verbally abused in my presence). It speaks to the person he is. I've recently needed his assistance in getting verifications of employment to obtain a mortgage. All of my requests were ignored and neglected. Attempting to speak to his one and only interest (money), I even offered to compensate them for the time they took to help me out realizing it could be an inconvenience. Again, I was ignored. My mortgage lender tried to help me out and reached out, she was given a host of excuses and "alternatives" that were unsuitable. When I went to discuss my options with the IRS they advised if he does not help, to file formal complaints so they can take actions, which I intend to do. I also intend to include in these complaints the emails I received trying to convince me that I did not need to file the haphazardly filled out W-2 with my tax return and gave me a hard time when I wanted a proper and correct W-2. Again, all of this speaks to the person he is; a careless egomaniac. Please, do not waste your time you are not in good hands when you do business with this man, I promise you. There are so many alternative sources for Medicare.

  • Some providers were paid, others were rejected. Much better Anthem plans were offered to areas with higher income. Not where I live. It appears that they're in the business to make the most money and not concerned with equal treatment for everyone in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • I hate them. They are rude. I am on a controlled drug, so you can only get 30 days at a time. One time they not only gave me my prescription, but they also gave me their behind the counter supply. It didn't hit me what it was until I looked at the bottle.

  • They are two blocks from my house. They are helpful and go out of their way to take care of anything that comes up. They are nice. I go in every other week. I think they go above and beyond. They will call the doctor if they need too.

  • I am not really thrilled about them, but they are close. They are convenient. What I do not like is when I go up there to get a prescription and they tell me that they are out of it and tell me to come back tomorrow because they can get it tomorrow; that is inconvenient. As far as their staffs go and their responsiveness, I like them, but what irritates me is when they do not have the medication. I do not know who orders their drugs, but the staff is always friendly and apologetic. I feel like they do care. They are always very prompt except when they are out, but they always tell me the time they would be there and I never had a problem with that not happening.

  • I've used these guys for home insurance and business insurance since finding them on angieslist last year. I saved $400 on home owners insurance and $400 on business vs. local competitor. On top of that my local business insurance provider was charging me $400 for the same insurance company that Capitol Benefits put me with.
    I'm really happy with their service and adding my other business and house.

  • After getting a permanent provider, things were better. I still had to request on a daily basis that they do certain standard things.
    Supervisor never came by to check on things and when I told her we were no longer needing her services, she did nothing to try to get us to stay.
    Almost acted like she could care less.

  • I was seen quickly, and they did a blood panel and then told me I had a
    UTI and couldn't figure out why I had the pain. They sent me to ER at
    St. Mary's, which was a good thing b/c it turns out after another blood panel and a skeptical ER doctor that I didn't have a UTI at all. Instead, he ordered a catscan and then a follow up ultrasound and they found a number of serious issues not even discussed or considered at Patient First.

  • Process went fairly smoothly. Didn't encounter any real issues in getting the insurance company to cover their portion of the procedure. Their coverage is not great, but pretty good compared to other insurance companies. Nothing and quot;greatand quot; to say about the service, but also no big complaints either.

  • The day we went there was a blizzard alert but everyone was at work and pleasant, the only closure we noted was the coffee shop. The surgery went well and the staff was very good with my elderly mother. The nursing staff and the doctors listened to what she had to tell them and were responsive to her special needs. The orthopedic center was very good, we have not always been pleased with other areas of the hospital but highly recommend this special area.
