    Retina Institute Of Virginia
Really disappointed with my experience at Virginia Retina Institute and Dr. Tobassian. I had laser surgery at the beginning of 2020. The procedure went well. However, when it was time for my follow-up appointment, I received a call from the office telling me that my appointment was going to be canceled due to COVID. I did not hear from the office for many months following this message. Eventually, the office re-opened and I arrived for my follow-up appointment to ensure the surgery had successfully repaired the damaged areas of my retina. I was told by the front desk staff that I need to pay again for a new appointment since it had been greater than 90 days from the original date of surgery (regardless of COVID and the cancellation of all appointments by their office). Since I am not willing to pay a second time for a procedure I already paid for once, I am left without a follow-up appointment for the procedure performed on my retinas. I have witnessed many doctor’s across different fields be understanding, compassionate and reasonable during these times. However, Virginia Retina Institute is not one of them. I hope others have a better experience.

    Dr. Clifford A. Roffis
I have been going to Dr. Roffis for years and he has always taken the time to get my prescription exactly correct.  He is efficient AND thorough and knowledgable about new options available, such as taking a photo of the eye vs dilation. I would highly recommend his services.

    Commonwealth Eye Care Associates
My doctor is very nice, but a little bit patronizing. They were very professional. I have been very happy with the practice.

Dr. Paul McNeer is very thorough and friendly at the same time. I have Type II Diabetes so it is important that my eyes are examined thoroughly and regularly.

The entire staff is soooo nice and friendly. Everyone was welcoming and very, very helpful. The doctor was also very thorough and friendly. After my exam, the staff helped me pick out glasses and were very helpful and honest. A great place to go for eye exams, contacts and glasses!!

    Swift Creek Eye Center
She is associated with Swift Creek Eye Center. I had cataract surgery and I had to go see her to have my eyes checked again in three or four weeks after the surgery. So, I saw her. She is very good and available. When I was going to have the cataract surgery, the doctor who was going to do the surgery was pushing on the new lens. A week and a half or two weeks before I was going to have the surgery, she gave me a call to see as to how I was doing, how things were going, what I had decided and when I was going to have the surgery. At that time, I discussed with her the possibility of the new lens. She said that she had actually had some people that had problems with the new lens. She said that it was going to be my decision. I asked her about what she would do if it was her. She said that they were still new on the market and if she was to have the surgery then she would go with the old and tried lens until the new lens has been in the market for a little longer. At the end of the conversation she said that her advice to me would be to pray about it which I thought was very nice. I decided to go with the old lens that was tried and proved. I am so glad because since then, I saw a lady that I went to high school with who had the new lens put in. She had to go back and have it taken out.
