  • This review is for the HealthPark location only. I would give positive reviews for my experience at the other location. Long waits every time (30-45 minutes). Dr. at this location (Burnette) contradicted diagnosis from a Dr. at their other location without a moments glance at my X-rays. That was very unsettling. Very high patient load. Staff seems stressed and overworked. Dr. has a background in pharmacy, so may be better for folks balancing many prescriptions. Does not like patients to disagree or question her work, even though most current medical articles emphasize that patients need to be their own health advocates.

  • Doctors Monteiro and Meier were excellent, as were all medical staff personnel, environment, medical communications, medical punctuality, friendliness, etc. Medical services were all fine-it was the billing and nonmusical staff and organization that was absolutely terrible, dogmatic, irresponsible, and rude. I was informed, when I first came in, that Wake Internal Medicine(WIM) was not in Medicare, and that I would have to pay for all expenses immediately out of pocket. WIM office personnel told me that, as a courtesy, they would file claims with Medicare and my supplemental insurance(United Health) for me, and, since I would have already paid for all services, reimbursement checks would be sent directly to me. For some reason, UHC sent my reimbursement checks to WIM, not to me. WIM kept these checks, without informing me, and did not send them on to me. Some months later, I happened unintentionally to leave a WIM office visit without immediate payment, so WIM sent me a bill for an amount I did not understand. I called them for an explanation and also asked if they had previously received my reimbursement checks from UHC. They said they had received the checks; kept them without telling me; and "applied them to my account". I said that I didn't know or been told that I had "an account", since I thought I was paying all costs immediately and had done so previously(as far as I knew). I asked for a statement showing all dates; costs; payments made and when and by whom, etc. to arrive at the amount currently due. I was told that it is WIM's policy not to send a patient statements or billing/account information, unless the patient had a balance due to WIM, not vice versa. When i asked for such information, now that i apparently owed WIM, I was told it was still not their policy to send such information; it was "a lot of trouble to do so"; and I should pay the current bill. When I continued to ask for details. the billing person hung up on me. Some days later, without any further contact with WIM and without any explanation, I received a letter from the administrative head of WIM informing me of WIM's "intent to terminate your relationship" with" WIM. There were no additional details or explanations given, just that one sentence indicating "termination". My subsequent attempts to ask WIM personnel AND my WIM doctors were not answered. Further research on my part has implied that I am not the first WIM patient to be"terminated" by WIM and also that itdoes have a relationship with Medicare, albeit some type of "nonparticipation" not ever explained to me by WIM. If this is the way WIM treats an 85 year old patient, and perhaps other patients, I would recommend that Angies List member seriously consider going elsewhere for medical services.

  • The tech who met with me to give me the home study and explain it was pretty good, as were the two young women at the front desk. The sleep study went well (at home), then it went downhill from there. The PA--Torres would not fully explain the results even though I questioned. She would only tell me the number of times I stopped breathing. I'm in healthcare, and if a patient wants to understand a report, the patient is paying for that service. Raleigh Neurology is so large, they forget who is the customer. She actually chose a cpap machine for me and contacted a durable medical goods company before any titration study and before I could check with my insurance company and do some research on my own (I had told her not to). Very unprofessional, not friendly and I would never go to this practice again...for any medical issues.

  • The visit went very well. Both the Nurse and the Physician spent adequate time with me, listened carefully to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. The office personnel were courteous and cheerful, and quickly checked me in and afterwards quickly checked me other words, they were efficient. The office was clean and neat also and seemed well organized. The wait time was also reasonable. Please note that I've had subsequent visits since that initial visit and each time just like the first time, i have received the same excellent care from the physician and staff. I feel that my Physician, Dr. Pechter, and the staff really care about me as a person and patient and my total well being.
  • Herded people like cattle - acted too busy to answer my medications interaction questions - place was always crowded and very chaotic - was like a zoo. Not comfortable with quality of care. Was afraid inattentiveness due to overloaded practice would lead to errors. Also, I knew there were medication possible harmful issues, but my questions were not handled or answered, felt my request for information was treated dismissively. Left practice. Found new doctor.

  • I was in the practice several years ago, became apparent to me that the practice was heavily overloaded, taking in more many patients than it could handle and generally "herding patients like cattle". I was treated very badly. I had some concerns about medication interaction, and when I tried to call and talk to someone at the practice, they treated me like a pest, and like I was a nuisance. I had to make repeated calls to try to get assistance, and the more I called, the more irritated the office staff became. When I went there for my appointments, the place as very crowded and the staff seemed very stressed out and tense. The who,e atmosphere was very tense. Rush, Rush, Rush! And barely paid me a bit of mind. Because of such horrible treatment, I left the practice and went somewhere else after only a few visits. Sounds like that decision was a wise one, based on other reviews here, and may have saved my life, as I also had to have a procedure done later. Thank God I avoided those awful callous people for the surgery. Frankly, I'm surprised that practice is still around and is still in business!

  • Totally unprofessional. The lack of professionalism by the front office is shocking. They should be ashamed of their lazy, unprofessional handling of my sleep study appointment. I arrived for my 24-hour 7:00 pm Sleep Study on time, only to find out some other patient had been given my time slot without any attempt to contact me. The attendant on duty said (falsely) that the office left me messages about the cancellation. This is not true. I was never contacted: I have no messages on my cell phone, no texts, no voicemails or messages on my home phone, no emails - nothing. I have had this appointment for almost two full months, and if there was a reason for cancellation prior the day of my appointment, they would have found a way to send the information or call me well before the night of the appointment. This implies that they decided to cancel my appointment on the day it was scheduled and more importantly before they contacted me. I 'm an hourly employee and I lost two days salary because of their sloppy office personnel. Their actions tell me that my condition wasn't important enough for to honor their "contract" to provide services as agreed on by both parties, and frankly, I'm disgusted. I've never been treated so poorly by any practice in my lifetime.

  • I'm so glad and truly grateful that I found Dr. Bhiwandi , she is exceptionally good at what she does . She treats her patients with tender loving care , because she really cares , my first visit was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. Dr. Bhiwandi and all her employees made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, you can believe they are the best. I just hope she doesn't ever retire , I have to bake the best cake ever for my next visit to her office .

  • Thourough hearing evaluation combined with the time the audiologist took to meticulously adjust my newly prescribed heatingaids, carefully explain how the mobile app works to adjust the aids and patiently answer all my questions has truly brought a whole new dimension of hearing to my life!!! Outstanding care and service in every aspect!

  • I did not have a great experience here. The doctor came in, didn't even look at me once, (the whole time he was typing on his computer) and did not address my questions at all. Instead, he just said, "we need to get you in for an endoscopy" and then left. When I had the endoscopy with him, it was the same experience.
