I have used them for small things like wall sockets and ceiling fans, they don't replace faucets .I really thought about dropping them because
at 50.00/month and not using them that is $600.00 /year I could save. I guess I have Paid for 3 washers since I've used them. They could definitely be a benefit to so one with an older home. I give them a grade of A.

Refrigerator: we had to go through 3 service providers before I could get one to answer the phone and actually show up at the house. Fortunately we have a second refrigerator in the garage so we shifted our food over to a working refrigerator. Once we got a technician at the house they decided the compressor was overheating due to a refrigerant leak. Guess what? Leaks are not covered by Choice. After pushing on them pretty hard they finally coughed up $500 even though we had to buy a new one (which was about $1900). I still had to pay the service provider the standard service fee. So, Choice wasn't much help on this one.
Air conditioning system: Choice sent out a service provider. The service provider had to make 3 visits: two to diagnose the system and one to make estimates on replacing the system. With the standard service fee we had to pay them over $500. Their diagnosis was that there was a leak in the coils on one unit in the attic and that system had no refrigerant (no pressure). The other system had a clogged drain line. They unclogged the drain line and that system is fine. However, the other system they said had to be replaced. So, they gave us estimates ranging from approx. $3500 to just replace the air conditioning part of the system to $8000 to replace the whole thing - furnace and air conditioning. Choice's response? No money for you - another leak and leaks are not covered. I called my heating and cooling folks from my old house. They looked at the system and had a completely different conclusion. First, no leak and the system pressure was fine. Second, the coils in the attic on both systems had labels dated 2014 so they were very new. After replacing capacitors on the blower motors and sealing everything up the system was fine. It cost me $300 and I don't have to replace the unit.
I called Choice to cancel our warranty and get a refund. Choice decided that our refund amount was only $450 on a $1275 warranty that had been in place for only 4 months. I took the money and ran. I would not recommend Choice. On my old house I had American Home Shield and never had any problems like the ones I had with Choice.

After contacting them about my air conditioning not working, they could not provide a service technician in a reasonable time. Then authorized me to contact someone of my choice. The technician determined the problem and told me he could not wait for them to respond to a call from him due to previous experience with long wait times. I called them to report the problem. The customer service person was rude, insulting and unhelpful and at first did not want to talk with me about the problem since I was not the technician. After informing her that I could pass along the information from the technician, which I did, she then in a most aggressive and insulting manner said "that is not covered", it is not normal 'wear'.
In all of my years of home ownership, and I am 69, I have never, NEVER, had a more rude, exasperating, uncaring, insulting experience with a customer representative. She was about as friendly as a north Georgia pole cat on its period.
I am canceling my contract with Provider name locked. because their service is lousy, and their customer service is essentially nonexistent.
