Tooth Extraction reviews in Raleigh

  • My husband and I both see them and we had really good experiences with them they do great work. He said that everything went well with the procedure as well as it can?with the root canal so I would say he did not seem to experience any unusual discomfort after that.

  • Dr. Luke Dalzell recently  took over this practice.  I was very impressed with him and his staff and will return if any additional endodontic work is ever needed.  I am not a very good patient but found the Dr. and his staff able to ease the stress, in the end the work was pain free.

  • My first appointment the Dr. took an x-ray to show me the problem and confirm it was that correct tooth that was causing pain.  The pain lasted after he put the cold on it so that confirmed it also.  I was very nervous to get a root canal because of previous bad experiences at other offices along with infections in the area.  The doctor said there was a mild sedative I could take before so I wouldn't be so nervous.
On the day of the appointment my husband took me and I had a great experience.  No pain, just the usual discomfort and no infection or issues after!  I will be back if I have any other teeth needing a root canal.

  • I can not say enough great things about my experience. I am a high anxiety dental patient and Dr. Horalek and his entire staff were exceptional. Not only did they make me feel comfortable and at ease, they were professional and did superior work. Victor is an asset to this practice and Dr. Horalek was friendly, skilled, and just did an overall wonderful job. From the time I walked in the door, nervous to get a root canal done, I felt welcomed and in good hands. For any of your Endodontic needs, please consider North Raleigh Endodontics. Ashley S.

  • I wanted to have my teeth cleaned and have a general checkup, and was hoping to find a dentist to be my regular provider. I also wanted to have a tooth evaluated that had bothered me off and on for more than a year.  I was told that I would need to make two separate appointments, that the state of NC wouldn't allow them to clean my teeth and provide the evaluation in the same appointment. I accepted this and made the first appointment for the evaluation. I stated at the beginning of this appointment that I was not interested in a laundry list of procedures they would like to perform on my teeth, just wanted to establish care and have my teeth check over for any significant problems. I am aware that many dentists have gone to a "treatment plan" model where they give their patients a list of procedures their teeth require amounting to many thousands of dollars and encourage them to methodically chip away at the list of treatments (caps, replace all the old metal fillings, bonding, etc.). I also know that many practices provide compensation to their hygienists for successfully promoting these treatments. And this is what I received at this appointment: A list of $10,000 worth of caps & filling replacements that were important to do in my mouth to prevent my teeth from cracking and then falling out. Um, really?  I have had great dental care under my previous dentist for 14 years, and I'm thinking he would have mentioned it if all my teeth were ready to crack and come apart.
I did not return to Rich, Smith and Tart, because I told them explicitly that I did not want the laundry list of expensive treatments, just a cleaning, and what they gave me was no cleaning and a laundry list of expensive treatments.  I moved on to another dentist who not only did the evaluation and the cleaning in the same appointment, but completely understood the frustration patients have with dentists overselling their treatments. He also noticed that the tooth that had been bothering me needed fixing, and did just that.

  • Dr. Gillespie is an excellent Endodontist. He examined my daughter's tooth and based upon her history of suffering a trauma to her tooth as a child, he diagnosed that the treatment my daughter's discolored tooth required a root canal and a internal bleaching of the tooth. We live in Raleigh, NC and our daughter lives in Columbia, SC. Dr. Gillespie explained the treatment and the procedure to my daughter. He then called me in Raleigh, NC, and explained the treatment and procedure. He did complete the root canal and internal bleaching on my daughter's tooth. The result of the treatment ofher tooth is wonderful: it is no longer discolored and looks great. Dr. Gillespie is an excellent Endodonist who provides excellent communication and puts his patients and their families as ease. The treatment of my daughter's tooth was excellent.

  • Dr Johnson has a relaxed and calm demeanor which is very reassuring. I had to have several sessions to complete a root canal, during which Dr. Keenon worked very hard and very patiently to complete some difficult work. I am very pleased with the results. His staff was very kind and efficient. He gave me his personal cell phone to call if I had any discomfort or questions. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson

  • Dr. Orander made my options very clear so that my choice of treatment was based on information. I am very pleased with the process & outcome. He went above & beyond to modify a night time appliance to fit my changed bite. He did this at no cost even though several visits were required.

  • Dr. Burleson and his staff worked quickly and (as) painlessly (as possible).  He was able to accurately determine a course of action and then execute the procedure with minimal fuss.  I felt relief immediately and was able to get on with my life.  Bonus points for being able to work through the crown without having to replace it.  I know that's not easy.
I don't know him outside of the office, but he seemed like a really good guy.  He was straightforward, calm, and professional.

  • Dr Reynolds was able to see me immediatly so I went directly there from my dentist's office.
Jennifer and Cindy at the front desk were very friendly and helpful upon my arrival at the office. Patient info is done via computer and pretty quick to do. I was the second patient in the waiting room and was just finishing info when Sandy came to get me so basically no wait time. Sandy was very friendly while preparing me for the exam. First impression of Dr Reynolds(before reading his bio) was he was way too young to be such an expert. Don't let this fool you! He is extremely quailifed in his field and extremely pleasant. He examined my teeth and found indeed that I was very cold sensitive in one of the crowns. When he said that I needed a root canal, and since I never had had one done, I was petrified! Seems like and quot;root canaland quot; are the two most dreaded words in the English language!! After asking about the crowns maybe causing the problem he gently explained that after having large fillings and crown work done sometimes the nerves and quot;just give upand quot;. Cindy was able to promptly get an appt set for 7/23/2013 which I was very surprised and happy with an appt so quickly. So...I was still petrified! Most people I spoke to about having the root canal done were quite sympathetic which didn't help my nerves at all!! So I dug into the internet and found that sometimes there IS too much web info both pro and con. My younger brother, having had 2 root canals done about 30 years ago was very positive I would be okay as he hasn't had any problems with his. I was, at this point , just purely ready to go forward and get rid of the pain. Was very grateful when my sister told me to be prepared for the length of the procedure but I'd have no pain, which my brother had said due to the numbing agents and one website I had read was pretty reassuring that once I was numbed up it should be just like having a tooth filling done. Although there was a website from a retired endontist that scared me to death, I was becoming calmer. So the work proceded on 7/23/2013 with great success!! Cindy and Jennifer very understanding and pleasant when I had to update my medications list upon arrival for the appt. I could see that Cindy and Jennifer were good coworkers as Cindy aided Jennifer thru the computer updating. No pain during the procedure and even though there is noise from one drill and the suction machine everything else was surprisingly quiet. The dental chair was very comfortable ( I have a siatica issue) for the 2 hour procedure and the atmosphere is pleasant. He also helped my comfort on my jaws by placing a rubber block between my teeth so I could keep my jaws relaxed during the procedure. I also am hard of hearing but Dr Reynolds was good at speaking up a bit for me. Dr Reynolds showed me the xrays and explained everything quite thoughly. He explained that one root had quite a bit of the bone being calcified but he assured me he drilled as far as he could but did not want to compromise the tooth structure. He went on to say he did not believe it would cause any problem. He was great with explaining follow up care and being very helpful with altering the instructions for the anti inflammatory medication due to I can't take ibuprofen. He also said to call him, even on the weekend, if I needed different medication for pain management. He did warn me that it and quot;might get worse before betterand quot; but that the cold sensitivity should be gone. Cindy and Jennifer again were very pleasant and laughing with me when upon taking my payment I said and quot;at least I'll get a free flight from all the costs of dental work being doneand quot;! That evening I was able to eat a pasta dinner after the numbness wore off with just a lttle discomfort due to my jaws and the injection sites being sore. Best meal I have had in 3 weeks! So this morning even though I am still a little sore, which isn't unusual, I am very very very happy. I only had to take two Aleve last night and no additional pain meds. Jennifer had called and left a voice message and I called her back to say I am just about dancing in the street due to no pain and being so comfortable! For the first time in 3 weeks I was actually able to have an iced drink with no pain due to the cold sensitivity! I am so so grateful for all the expertise, professionalism, kindness and caring and calming atmosphere this office provides, I will be promoting them and referring any one I can to this office. Including making sure my dentist refers patients to him as well. I will definitely be seeing him again if another dental problem occurs. Keep up he great job guys! I fortunateIy had a phenomenal experience! I am the first to write a review for him on Angies list as I felt it very important to get the word out about this great endontist and his staff Sandy, Jennifer and Cindy. Thanks so very much to all of you! I rely on Angies list quite a bit so hope this helps someone else who may be distressed over a dental problem or in need of an endontist. I am sure there will be many more raving reviews as well. As you can see, I HIGHLY recommend him. Their website is pretty good (I love the tree with roots). I did put in a couple of suggestions under the and quot;procedureand quot; spot to put a little more patient info there mainly to help calm patients of the procedure(s).
