"Dr. gave me a new life after being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40. He did an excellent, amazing job at breast reconstruction after" I decided to have a bi-lateral masectomy. Dr. makes me feel like I am the only patient he cares for during my visit. He is extremely attentive to my individual needs and always readily available to me, even on his off weekends and holidays. His office staff is AMAZING, and his nurse, , is an angel. I don't have the words to describe how Dr. and his team changed my life after cancer. They are truly an integral part of my recovery and cancer journey. For that I am eternally grateful to him and his office staff.

"I consulted with these guys for a consultation about liposuction, thinking that liposuction was a straightforward procedure and that a physician's assistant" could probably do as well as someone with an MD. Will never trust a non MD to do major surgical work again. The office was in an expensive part of town, and the reception staff welcoming, as is usually the case with cosmetic surgery centers. The PA that does the surgery, Rod, was also very nice. I noticed the price changed between consultation and surgery, which was the first red flag. Then after surgery, they allowed me to drive myself home when I was still sedated and I fell asleep behind the wheel and had to pull over in the middle of the highway. Afterwards, despite aggressive massage and supportive care, I developed a cottage cheese, type stomach. The initial welcome on follow up changed into a denial that anything that went wrong could have been their fault. I ultimately went to a a number of surgeons for second opinion to have Rod's worked fixed, and was told that he had been overly aggressive and I had developed scar tissue, for which not much could be done. A reconstructive plastic surgeon ended up having to refill in the areas around the scar tissue to even out the lumpiness with fat grafts that they took from other parts of my body. It was painful, and ended up costing me over twice as much to have his work reversed ($12,000), plus a second period of recovery time and missed work. I am still unable show my stomach in public because of the stares and questions I receive. Beyond the physical pain, the stress and anxiety I suffered has been really difficult. Nice office, but if something goes wrong, don't expect them to back you up. Lesson learned - be cautious in being overly trusting of Yelp reviews to make major surgical decisions. Physician's assistants are called 'assistants' for a reason.

Plastic Surgery reviews in Providence

Dr. is a brilliant surgeon. He combines superior technical skill with a remarkable aesthetic sense. His work is naturalistic and subtle. He is a very kind, patient doctor; he explains everything thoroughly and takes as much time as you need. I was very pleased with the outcome of both surgeries. In a town over-flowing with ...More plastic surgeons, there isn't anybody else that I would go to.
- Philip A.

He did my procedure at Medical Center, where he does all such procedures, which is really a good idea, the first guy I saw wanted to do it in his office which sounded like a bad idea even to a like myself. It clearly was a procedure which needs the sterility and equipment and personnel that are only available ...More in a real Hospital. Medical Center was first rate all the way. Everyone I came in contact with was nice, friendly, smart, pleasant and helpful. I had a wonderful Nurse who checked me in and got me set up, spotless, very clean and comfortable Hospital. Dr. 's procedure in which he took a piece of skin off my stomach and grafted it onto my ear was done with high skill and great expertise. He and all the staff working for him in the operating room were outstanding, and highly skilled. great, flawless job. The follow-up appointments at his office were easy to get scheduled, everyone friendly and helpful. His Nurse who always works with him in the office is terrific. She is a model for how all Nurses should be. really smart, always nice and pleasant. She is a very fine and elegant person who does an outstanding job with compassion and a highly skilled professional manner. It does not get any better in American Medical Care today. You are very, very lucky if you have found Dr. and his Nurse and there is no where in the world you could get better care than they provide. This is top of the food chain medicine, the best of the best, medicine as a high art. Dr. is, I believe one of the best Plastic Surgeons in the world, without question. He is a pleasant easy person to talk to, fully and clearly explains all procedures and you will never find a smarter or nicer Doctor.

Everything went smoothly. From getting a ballpark estimate on the work, to getting the appointment (and follow-up appointment) and having the surgery done--everything went according to plan. Her staff is very pleasant and efficient and Dr. did excellent work. Such tiny stitches! You can scarcely tell the ears were ever subjected ...More to those giant holes that teenagers seem to love so much.
- Kit S.

Decided on a tummy , based on his thorough knowledge and experience, and amazing and personal patient care. (I had many consults over the years and could never pull the trigger since one thing or another never seemed right). It turned out perfect! Dr. 's skill is unmatched, as is his personality, ...More kindness, and devotion to giving patients the very best. So very happy!
- Julie E.

My experience with Dr. O’ and his office has been more
than excellent. Prior to my consultation, I did my research and found Dr. O’
is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, which means he is
Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. Finding a doctor that was a Board ...More Certified
Plastic Surgeon was the most important qualification as I started my quest for
breast augmentation. I read through Dr. O’ ’s website and felt that this
was a surgeon I should schedule a consultation with. I was able to schedule my
consultation around my work schedule.
Consultation: The office is beautiful. My first contact was
with Jenn and she is always smiling. She knows your name and is ready for you
to be at your appointment. The vibe in the office was relaxed, yet
professional. I met with the doctor immediately. I was nervous and had about
three pages of questions. Dr. O’ put me at ease by engaging in a
conversation with me, rather than a question and answer session. He provided me
with information about him and most of my questions were answered without me
even having to ask a question. Dr. O’ then took me to another room in
order to look over my breasts and get an idea of what I was looking for. The
meeting didn’t feel medicinal and cold, but got to the point and made me feel
great about myself. I want to add this was my first cosmetic surgery procedure
and I was terrified to have a doctor that would look at me and tell me
everything else under the sun that I could use to have fixed. Dr. O’ did
none of that. He did not try to sell me on anything. He gave me my options and
we discussed what I was looking for in regards to the outcome of my procedure. ,
Dr. O’ ’s scrub nurse was included in this part of my consultation. She is
absolutely amazing! From there, I met with and she provided me with a
printed estimate for my procedure. Everything was spelled out. Again, I felt no
pressure to schedule and/or go through with this procedure (I did schedule that
day). I requested additional information on a warranty and called me
after my appointment to make sure I had all the information I had requested. I
was also walked through the on-site surgery center. It is a great center and
very clean and sterile.
Pre-Operation Appointment: Basic meeting. You go in with pictures
of what you would like the outcome of your procedure to resemble. Be realistic
in what your body can do and what will look natural. Dr. O’ will give you
his opinion if you ask for it. I was very nervous and very much wanted his
opinion. He gave it and I went with it and I could not be happier with my
results (more of that to come).
Day of Surgery: I arrived, changed into my very fashionable surgery
attire, and nerves hit hard. was the nurse working with me for my pre-op.
She put my IV in and was so sweet to me. I started to feel sick and she kept
talking to me and making me feel as comfortable as possible. The anesthesiologist
came in briefly and let me know that I would be knocked out in no time. He was
full of energy. The anesthesiologist group that Dr. O’ uses is great. I am
lawyer so I looked up any medical malpractice claims against Dr. O’ or the
anesthesiologist group that he uses and found none (GREAT). I was wheeled back.
I remember seeing and the anesthesiologist and then I woke up to
and .
Results: The procedure I had done was a breast augmentation.
I was an A cup, slight tublar breasts, height 5’4, weight 130lbs (30 years old,
no children). I asked for something that would look natural. I wanted full
breasts on the side and underneath. I understood that my breasts would look
slightly augmented as they would be augmented. Dr. O’ recommended I go
with a C cup. I had smooth silicone. Moderate profile, under the muscle with
incision in the fold under my breast. I am 1.5 months out from my surgery and
they look amazing. I am able to fit in my clothes and my body looks complete!
If you are thinking about having any work done, I would
HIGHLY recommend Dr. O’ . He is an amazing surgeon. He listens to what you
want, looks at the pictures you bring him, and truly cares that his work is
art. ’t sell yourself short going to another doctor that might give you
larger implants than you want, or thinking they know you better than you know
yourself. Dr. O’ is the real deal. His office staff ( , Jenn, ,
) are absolutely amazing. In fact, I told a friend that if it wasn’t weird
I would have asked them to have a drink with me sometime because they are that
friendly! If I have any additional work done I promise you I will be going back
to Dr. O’ .

I had breast reduction surgery because of back and shoulder pain. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. During my initial visit Dr. did an exam and agreed that breast surgery would be a good option for me. I was given additional information to read, a day and time for surgery was agreed upon and a pre-op appointment ...More was set up. Because this was a medically necessary procedure (not just for cosmetic reasons), it had to be pre-approved by my insurance in order to be covered. Dr. 's nurse was very helpful with this. I'm very glad I had the surgery and am happy with the results. As with any surgical procedure, just be sure to ask lots of questions and be sure you understand the recuperation process and procedures.

O.R.I.F. (open reduction internal fixation) surgery was performed by J. on Sept. 29, 2014 to repair my shattered right calcaneus (heel bone). I experienced no infection post operation ( ) and no issues with proper healing of the incision. Recovery was shorter than usual for this ...More type of injury/surgery. I began partial weight bearing about 8 weeks and worked up to full weight bearing by 11 weeks . After a few weeks on crutches and physical therapy sessions, I was walking with no pain, and very close to a normal gait by 15 weeks . I owe my quick recovery in part to a good reconstruction by Dr. . He reconstructed my heel bone using a plate and 13 screws. The outcome with this type of injury is not always as good as mine has been. There are a lot of factors that come in to play, such as the nature of the break, health of the patient and whether the patient has diabetes or is a smoker. I was 52 years old when I had my accident. Exactly how much Dr. was responsible for my good outcome, I don't know. I must also give thanks to God.
- Rod B.

Dr. is a good plastic surgeon. I've known Dr. for years. He does cancer surgery also. I first met him when he took a spot off my face and that was a good 12 years ago. I've known him for that long and several times he had to take spots off. He's married has a little boy and a little girl. ...More He's well known in the area. I believe he's part owner of the Northwest Surgery Center. He's a good doctor and has a good staff. They're competent. Its great. Its clean, organized and the staff is very helpful. They even have sliding doors that you can come out of and get in to so you don't have to come out.
