    Artee Fabrics And Home
Sales people are nice and fabric selection was nice. Took over 3 months to get work completed - Was missing furniture out of my house the one week I told the company prior to starting the work I needed the furniture for my parents visit (they had the option to way until after the date to start work). They lost the material I ordered. They misplaced/forgot they had my seat cushions. They did not use the right materials for the first piece of furniture putting at risk that there wasn't enough material left to complete the job (which they could not tell me they had enough unless they took apart my couch first). When removing the couch they caused $2366 damage to my front door with their "professional" mover. They tried to tell me it was my fault and that I need to go after their subcontractor for reimbursement. The owners never apologized and were rude. When the Better Business Bureau closed out the report due to lack of response from the owner, the owner threatened me several months afterwards if I did not remove the report after having to contact a lawyer to resolve the issue of them covering the repair expenses to the door of my historic home.

    Economy Movers & Storage
It was a great experience, though since we packed ourselves it was a challenge. They showed up on time, the crew of seven was great, and we felt comfortable and happy with the service. We were very impressed with how strong and focused everyone was.

Great.  They had to remove 2 doors to get the washers in and out, and they did it quickly and professionally.  They showed up when they said they would.  These guys are professionals-- full-time appliance people who know their merchandise.  Their prices are also lower than what I found online at other stores.

I contacted a number of woodworkers before I found M & M and I was getting really discouraged. Other businesses either didn't return my initial or follow-up calls/emails or a price was given over the phone without seeing the job. This might be a small job for some - one of the chairs had a split seat, and both were loosening at the crosspieces, but they were not useable as is, and they have some family/sentimental value to me, so no matter how small the job was to someone else, it was important to me. I was so pleased to find someone that would do this for me, and I LOVE the result. It took a little longer than David's original estimate, but frankly, I didn't care as the result is two beautiful richly stained and finished chairs that have retained their antique look, but now are sturdy, and fit in with the other wood in our kitchen/dining area. David even delivered the chairs to our house when they were done. Wish I had found him first, before the agony of contacting so many others, but now that I know about M & M, I will return next time we have a job. Recommended him to my cousins, too. Very reliable on scheduling, too.

When I called back in July, ASTRO sent Christine to my home to go through what  had to be packed and moved. She worked on an IPAD and listed everything that I pointed to that needed to be moved to our new home. Everything from, tables and chairs, dishes, clocks, a piano, sofa, end tables, desks were listed along with items in our shed such as a  lawnmower. snowblower, and ladders. She said that she would email an estimate.About  a week later,I received the estimate. I was told to have a certified check ready for moving day. On the date, August 2nd, the crew  arrived at 8am.   Justin  was in charge and took the check. Then began the  real work. They were great! They were very efficient and careful.  As the day progressed, the weather changed.By the time we had  arrived at the new house, it began to rain very hard. So everything had to be wiped down by the crew. Later when the move was completed, Justin told me that I would be receiving a check back since the move was less than the estimated $1500. Within a couple of days, I received a  check for about $500.  I was surprised and happy to get money back!
I recommended the company to my real estate agent at REMAX PREFERRED, Sandy McNamara who was looking for movers to recommend to clients.
Without a doubt, Angie's List helped me make the right decision.

    Bob & Timmy's Grilled Pizza
They service all types of equipment and are located in Providence. What I thought was remarkable about them on two occasions -- one last summer in July. We had a very serious heat wave and my old air conditioning equipment was breaking down. I called around to different places and they all said they were busy right then and would get around to it next week. When I called Atomic they said they would be out in two hours and then supplied me with the ideal equipment I needed with no special charge or anything. I had a similar experience in the spring when a refrigerator all of a sudden conked out and I needed a replacement. I needed a refrigerator and I needed it in a hurry, otherwise I was going to have food spoilage. He replaced it immediately. He makes a very good impression of appliance service. It is very important to the customer. It is a tough job to fit a big refrigerator into a small space, but they worked at it and did the job. And they did it right away, that's the main thing. He did not say they would get around to me when they could.

    Tony's Upholstery & Vinyl Rpr
Tony is definitely Old School, and that's a great thing. His shop is in a little corner on Atwells Avenue which you've probably driven by a hundred times without even noticing it...this is not a chi-chi designer shop! He's been doing work for 30 years and is professional, fast, and skilled. We needed 2 stools reupholstered. Tony had a roll of textured vinyl in stock which we liked and he was able to do the job in a couple of days. We are VERY pleased by the comfort and appearance of these stools and would not hesitate to recommend his work. I told Tony that I had found him on Angie's List - he paused and said "Yeah, a lot of people tell me that....but I've never met her. " :-)

    Dana Upholstery & Interior
Dana only called us one time to notify us about the crack in one of the legs of one of our chairs. We approved the repair. Then we waited two weeks for an update which never occurred. My wife called him to ask him if the fabric had arrived and how the work was progressing. He advised my wife that the work was underway. I called him one week later to find out when our chairs would be completed. Dana who was very friendly during the initial sales visit, was curt during our brief telephone conversation.
On the 27th day (June 9th, 2014), he called my wife from his vehicle at 6:34pm that he was and quot;just pulling out of Barrington, RI, to deliver our chairs. During our telecom, he advised me that he could deliver the chairs during the weekend, June 7th or June 8th. or alternatively on Monday or Tuesday, June 9th or June 10, 2014. When he delivered the upholstered chairs and seat pads, Dana was very uncommunicative and was unfriendly, unlike his behavior during his first visit. I asked him about the 5% Senior discount and he replied, and quot;I'm a seniorand quot; which I considered an inappropriate and sarcastic reply. The 5% is certainly not a deal breaker, but if he advertises a 5% discount on Angie's List, he should honor it. I notified Angie's list to remove the 5% discount because Dana Welshman does not honor it. When I elected to pay him with our Visa card, he did not have his merchant banking device to process my credit card. In fact, he didn't even have a pen to write down the details of my CC. My wife and I were surprised and chagrined about Mr. Welshman's behavior and his lack of interest in communicating with us during the work period. After I provided him with my credit card details, he failed to provide us with a detailed receipt for the work and repair. His behavior during the delivery of our chairs was strange. I would not recommend him to anyone because of his lack of business professionalism.

    Bob & Timmy's Grilled Pizza
It was perfect.  The installer came on time and she was clearly highly proficient at her job and very neat.  She has worked as an independent contractor installing for Joel and other local appliance dealers for years, and she affirmed my positive impression of Atomic Appliance.  I would definitely buy from them again.

The buying experience was great, superior to any at a "big box" store, deliveray was as promised, no problems. However, the best part was the delivery and set-up in my tiny apartment space. Not an easy job, but they were careful, meticulous, just excellent pros. I will shop here again and use this vendor with out question.
