    When I did not hear from providers about this and other referrals,I called Dr Farina's office several times to find out why this appointment could not be made. I was assured that the referral was submitted, but Dr Wishik's office took some time to contact patients. I was told that there was a shortage of this specialty in the area, and as a result their practices were hard to deal with. I was given Dr Wishik's number and asked to call myself, which I did. Dr Wishik's office manager, Ms Wishik, called me back and I discovered that I could not see Dr Wishik until November 21st. I aksed why she had not responded sooner to the referrals from Dr Farina, and she became very defensive, and hostile. I told her that I was concerned because I have had trouble getting one of my prescriptions filled, as it is a controlled substance. Several doctors have refused to prescribe it (see my previous review on North Providence Urgent Care). They are uncomfortable because they are not specialists in this field. When I told her I had to figure out how to manage my medications between now and the appointment, she became angry and told me I could not be seen at this clinic, and she hung up on me. I went to Dr Farina's office, and they verified to me convincingly that they had, in fact called Dr Wishik's office several times using the number they provided to me. They also did not have anyone else to recommend as a specialist for my condition. I was on my own. I called Dr Wishik's office after hours and explained that if they were will willing to express regret for the misunderstsanding, I would be willing to put it behind us and come to them for care. I asked Ms Wishilk to call me 9/24/2013 so we could make an appointment. She did not call, so I am reporting this here so others will have the option to chose other sources for treatment, if they prefer not to be verbally abused by the office staff.

    Mostly, the visit went well.
    I was surprised that I met with a Physician's Assistant instead of the doctor initially; the PA performed the examination and gathered the history. The doctor came in at the end for a few minutes.
    The doctor disagreed with the diagnosis from the ENT. However, he also admitted not being able to identify a cause of the dizziness. He also suggested a nutritional regimen of vitamins and minerals; that was the solution as the dizziness suddenly was under control and has been absent for close to a year.
    A downside is that he sold me the vitamins and minerals at an inflated price. I noted that the prices were out of line but he countered that they were of higher quality. I subsequently checked the prices of the identical brands of the identical products in a chain drugstore; his prices were close to double.

    Within our 1-2 visit he confirmed that I has been misdiagnosed/ mistreated for the past several years and he made it his business to get/ give me the proper treatment and medications. He still treats me today and I've referred several people to him who are extremely happy as am I under his care

    This guy is unbelievable. He's managed to catch things that no one else has caught. What we thought was just trouble with my husband's big toe turned out to be spine damage that could've paralyzed him. Something our previous doctor didn't even notice.

    I have been a patient of Dr. Salisbury for several years, and am very pleased with our patient/doctor relationship. He listens--and remembers!--to what I'm saying. He seems to be very current with changes in medical practices. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while in the exam room before he comes in--but I suspect that is because he's speaking with other patients just as extensively as he does with me. So I always alot at least an hour for the appointment, and bring a book or magazine

    .My only real complaint is with the office administration. They are certainly nice people...BUT THEY DON'T RETURN VOICEMAILS!!! I called 3 times over the month of November to get an appointment with the GI guys. Not one call was returned. I finally drove to the UMG office in Cranston and pinned down one of the office personel to get an appointment.

    Other than that, I am very satisfied.

    this woman is a wonder.  She is bright, compassionate, willing to listen, and remarkably free of the usual psychiatric trait:  not listening to the patient and assuming that the doctor knows it all.  She listens VERY carefully, she is concerned, professional, and available if you really need her for emergencies.

    without going into too much personal detail, Dr. Scaramella seems to know his stuff and has good communication skills. He can't always remember details of my particular case, but that is probably to be expected with a large number of patients

    The staff at the testing facility was very friendly, as was the scheduling person. Dr. Whelihan asked a lot of questions and the the testing began. It lasted over an hour and a report was mailed to us about a week later. the report did not seem that meaningful or helpful to me, but that could be a lack of training. Another therapist whom we know, however, also looked at the report and didn't find it that helpful. On a more mundane note, no receipt was mailed to us after a payment was made through the doctor's receptionist, and I had to call twice to get them to agree to send one. I'm still waiting for it. That component of the experience was rather unprofessional.
