    Ark Home Improvement
Noah was a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job renovating our sunroom, which was in terrible shape--rotting paneling and woodwork, old carpet, a ridiculous window into the living room. He and his crew were able to transform the room into a lovely, comfortable space, and do some additional work (repointing chimney, basement ceiling repairs, window calking) in a little more than a couple weeks. He came up with creative solutions to address the woodwork problem in the sunroom, and the resulting craftsmanship is perfect and looks great. He and his crew are cheerful, punctual and conscientious, and we enjoyed doing business with them. Their work is careful and professional, with constant attention to detail. We highly recommend Ark Home Improvement and intend to use them again when we are ready to redo our kitchen.

    Ark Home Improvement
We received quotes from multiple contractors to update our attic which previous homeowners finished in the early 1970s. Of all the contractors we talked with, Noah, the owner of Ark Home Improvement, was the most responsive, punctual and friendly. He even spent a few hours with us the first time he came out to the house for the quote and really listened to how we planned to use the space and what our future house, work and life plans were. In the end, he suggested some things that were different from (and less expensive than) what we'd been thinking, but his ideas made a lot of sense and we really appreciated his input, so we went with what he suggested. Throughout the remodel Noah and his team were extremely punctual, helpful and respectful, they cleaned up after themselves everyday, made sure any questions we had were answered and finished the job on budget and in about 3/4 of the time we'd planned for. We love our new attic/home office. We've worked with other contractors for previous projects (kitchen renovation, etc.), but none of them came close to the job that Ark Home Improvement did. Noah and his team will definitely be our go-to contractors for any and all future home projects.

Very well, about as smooth as you can hope for. Josh is very upfront and professional. He is dependable and takes pride in his work. He ensures that the work is done right and he does not cut corners. I went over my planned budget, but the room is much better than I expected, so I am pleased.

    RWL General Contractors
We would like to give the highest rating possible for RWL general contractor. From the very beginning Kevin and his team were professional, personable and easy to have in our home day in and day out. Our project was detailed, and their patience, work ethic, and communications were impressive! They listened, were very responsive and always polite. We have dealt with many contractors over the years but this team was the best. Kevin, Tyler, Dan, Chris and Dennis became our friends and we looked forward to their daily accomplishments with our project. Their team shirts and jackets added to the professional effect. Our home is a 1920 Colonial and we wanted to take 2 bedrooms and make a master suite. The master bath also includes a laundry, After completion we are more than thrilled with our new space!!! You will not be disappointed signing on with RWL.

Matt is a talkative, nice guy who comes across as very professional. However, I was totally let down by the quality of work that he performed. The railing on my deck had broken parts, it is rickety and the overall workmanship is of poor quality. Everyone who comes up the stairs in my house comments on the poor quality. Parents of little children ask them to stay away from the railing as it is of such poor quality. I tried to reach Matt per email, telephone and message and he never got back to me. He took the money and ran....didn't stand behind his job. Really disappointing. Please consider this before you go ahead and hire him. A handyman who's not ethical is the last thing you want. Oh yes almost forgot - he was suppose to put primer on the deck. He did use indoor primer outside.

    Aurora Handyman Service
We've hired Aurora twice now -- once to replace an ancient bathroom fan and most recently to do some minor remodeling and finish work in our basement. Jim and the field techs are great. Both jobs they've done for us had some unexpected complications, and both times they took it completely in stride. They show up on time, they're extremely pleasant to be around, and they work hard. I've been impressed by how closely Jim listens and how efficient he is. Would absolutely hire them again.

    SITE SPECIFIC LLC
Much like the other F rating on this site, our experience with Site Specific and particularly one of its principal owners, Peter, was nothing short of a debacle. We had a similar experience with their poor communication, billing surprises, major construction mistakes and total mismanagement of our project. The company fired our project manager about a third of the way through and never replaced him, choosing instead to try to spread responsibility out among the team for the remaining 8 months of the project. It wasn't surprising that that approach was a recipe for disaster. As with the other review, some of the employees and subs were nice and talented but that doesn't make up for the fact that the company is run poorly and treats its clients in a patronizing manner. And I would agree that their quoting and billing practices border on fraud. One of their employees actually said to us in a meeting that "We purposely bid lower to make it more attractive so we don't lose the work." No kidding, but did you really just say that? Whenever we questioned invoices, they became defensive and often blamed subs or us. They did this repeatedly, telling us something would cost a certain amount and then when the invoice came, it would be higher. This all added up. Not to mention the incredible amount of time we spent trying to unwind their invoices and manage aspects of our project that they should be managing but weren't. In addition they completely botched our HVAC install and ruined our kitchen floor, to the extent that we ended the relationship leaving work undone because we couldn't bear the thought of continuing to work with them; and they let us out of our contract with money still owed them because they knew it would cost them more to come back and fix all that they had messed up. Again, as with the other poor review, I recommend you avoid this company at all costs. You can do better and spare yourself the stress and expense of dealing with such a bad operation.

Working with Rob on a complete renovation has been excellent. We are in the early stages but he is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Looking forward to proceeding with the project, and will update this review as we move along.

I and my family always hire Bob for any services he does and we need (over a period now of 14 years) . In fact, I am calling him to ask his advice about who to hire for jobs other than the kind of jobs his business performs. He is so likeable and down-to-earth. I give him the highest recommendation.

Matt was great to work with. Personable, on time, communicative and a perfectionist. He went above and beyond to get the job done right and his work looks great. We have other projects in the future that well be using him for. Id highly recommend him.
