KEVIN F.GONSALVES (Separate from KFG Concrete)
Excellent! I would highly recommend working with Kevin. He was responsive, organized; kind and friendly. He replied immediately to my inquiry, had recommendations and a quote ready within 24 hours, and was thoughtful about checking-in while we explored other options. Within one week from hire, the job was completed, which included the demo of the old steps, complete clean up, and haul away. We thought we were going to have him do the new steps too, but once they started demo-ing they encountered all kinds of unexpected issues. From the start, Kevin kept us apprised. He sent pictures to explain what was happening and gave us the proper information to make decisions. When all was said and done, he actually steered us away from replacing with concrete and encouraged us to go with composite decking, which we really liked. This really was a doozy of a job and Kevin and his crew stayed until it was completed, which included having to bring in a bobcat to haul away larger pieces. They were professional the entire time and never exhibited any frustration when we spoke; they just were matter of fact and focused on wanting to complete a job well done. I even mentioned as they were leaving that I was kind of bummed their portion wrapped up so quickly because I would have enjoyed working with them longer. I will definitely be hiring him again.

Very happy with the overall experience. Kevin contacted me immediately, was at my home the following morning to take a look, gave me the price, along with the details of what needed to be done. He and his crew were there within in a day, had the entire job completed in two days. Since I was at work, Kevin sent pictures at every stage of the process. In addition to completing everything that he had promised, there were some additional blue stones that needed to be reset that he was not aware of, and he took care of them without charging extra. The back steps, since it was so poorly built to begin with, Kevin replaced it all with new brick which was not part of the original agreement; again no extra charge. I have always been afraid to deal with contractors with all of the stories I hear; I'm so happy that I went ahead and contacted Kevin.

    Two Contractors
Jerry Baribault & son did an excellent job. They are very professional, did everything as shown on their written contract, easy to work with, began and ended the job on schedule. I'm very pleased with their work, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Set In Stone
I hired Set IN STONE two years ago to replace our deteriorated curved front steps, no easy feat. Ray did a perfect job in reproducing the curvature of the steps , and to this day I get complements on the beautiful steps. Just this spring I hired Ray to restore two crumbling driveways at another location. Not only did he do an excellent job , but he went above and beyond what was required in the contract. I recommend Ray for all your masonry and carpentry needs.

Kevin and his team couldnt have made the job any easier for me. The entire process from initial call/quote to completion was within two weeks, and that included a March NorEaster. He removed the old failing concrete floor, added a base, poured and sloped the new floor. The entire team even hauled the cement up a hilly driveway in wheelbarrows so the concrete truck wouldn't have to drive across it. The quality of work and respect for the job area was exceptional. Communication (both calls/text) as well as explanations of the procedure/timeline, and materials used) couldnt have been any better. I already plan to use his services for future projects.

    Brito Lawn Care Inc
The laziest clean up job I've ever had done. Leaves between the bushes and behind my raised garden bed and backyard fence were never picked up. If it couldn't be picked up by machine, it was not picked up. I also wanted the lawn over seeded and asked about a machine that could be used to insert the seed into the soil. He said he could do the over seeding and told me about the grass seed he would be using. In the end, all he did was use a fertilizer spreader to spread the seed which ended up running off with all the rain that followed after the job was done. The pictures below show how the lawn looked 8 weeks after he fertilized and spread grass seed(over seeded). Would you be happy? I guess I am at fault for not demanding he use an over seeding machine. I assumed he had one because I asked about this type of machine to do the job so I wonder if his broken English is an excuse he uses for misunderstandings. I also think he took a job the same day from somebody down the street from me which could have resulted in such a lousy job. I saw somebody come up to Mr. Brito and he disappeared for 20 minutes with no equipment so he might have left to give the man an estimate leaving his 1 helper to do most of the work. Unprofessional in my opinion. He was also suppose to come back and do some repair work on my stairs and some concrete work on my driveway. He did the yard clean up and I never heard from them again about doing the concrete jobs he gave me quotes for. Highly unprofessional and it makes me wonder how meaningful it is to be named an Angie's list award winner. One last thing, if he gives you an estimate, GET IT IN WRITING.

We were very lucky to find Michael and Justin. Justin replied to my email in a timely manner and we received an estimate that was affordable for us. They built us a really wonderful brick hearth and brick surround for our wood stove. I found them both to be reliable, hardworking, and polite craftsmen. I was so impressed by their attention to detail and their devotion to getting the job done right rather than rushing anything. They cleaned up everything after each day, so you would barely know they had been there. I certainly plan to use them again in the future.

    shoreline concrete and design
Very well; great price...almost 1/2 what everyone else in RI and southern MA quoted me for the job. They graded area, built forms, poured gravel base and then concrete, then stamped and stained. Came back removed forms and cleaned up area. Friendly and worked in between repeated rain storms over 2 weeks to get done.
