Carpet Installation reviews in Providence

We selected this business because we wanted to work with an established local business that had great reviews.
When we first went to the their store, they were extremely welcoming, took time to answer all of our questions (we had never bought new carpet before), and pointed out the differences in quality, durability, and related cost. They also explained the difference and benefit to using the thicker pad.
Massuds arranged to come to our house almost immediately after our closing since they knew we wanted to get the carpet in as soon as possible. They were on time and were able to get the necessary information in less than 30 minutes. While at the house, they also provided some advice on maintenance of the basement carpet. While they could have convinced us to replace the carpet, they told us the carpet looked pretty good, and with some maintenance, would last quite a while longer.
Prior to installing the new carpet and pads, we removed the old material ourselves. Massuds arranged to remove the material and dispose of it at no cost to us. They provided instructions on how to best remove the carpet and pads from the floor, remove bad tack board, clean up any stains on the floorboards, and remove the old pad staples - again, we had never done this before.
They were able to install the new carpet within a week and in about 3-4 hours worth of work - three bedroom's worth of carpet.
Down the road when we plan to replace carpet again, we would be happy to go back to Massuds. I would recommend them to anyone interested in new carpet. If we decide to replace the bathroom tiles, we would certainly consider them for this job as well.

called for a quote on removing a carpet. He came on booked day and around booked time and gave a quote. I explained that the carpet was glued at the time of his visit. He returned on booked day without anyone to assist and after pulling up a corner realized it was glued. This was most frustrating for me as I know that would be an issue, thus my telling him all the points up front before going forward. He said he would call and come back with some help and I offered a higher pay as he now seemed to have a better idea and it would take more time. I asked if my offer sounded fair to him and he said yes. After my leaving him multiple messages, including, 'if you are very busy or not coming back, please let me know so that I can move forward'. I never received a reply.- Ann B.
Showroom had a good selection, and salesperson was very helpful. Carpet cost was very reasonable, and they were timely with their estimate and the actual installation. However, they were not very neat with the installation. I was not there to supervise, but they left staples on the floor, and pieces of carpet too.- Vikas T.
